You can be banned for spam regardless whether or not you are enrolled into a signature campaign. But if a mod thinks you are spaming, they don't care whether or not you are in a campaign.
No you won't be banned unless the 'paying signature concept' is involved in your posting. There are some rare cases but the whole problem of Spam is because of signature's and not just low quality posts.

Users are constantly being banned for spam (with or without signatures) though we have been a little lax about it recently and it has built up to crazy levels due to a couple of badly run campaigns but some people are trying to get on top of it and these mass bannings are needed and long-overdue as people have got away with it for far too long. [...]

Please, tell me more.
You didn't get my point ,read it again and it looks like you are excluding the bolded part ?

Maybe you didn't get mine.
I agree that some campaigns are encouraging spam,
but at the end of the day, spam stays spam, whether you got a paid signature below it or not.
Spam stays spam but it isn't punished until it's irritating/trolling,maybe the posts get deleted now and then.

I a not speaking about what campaign rules are cause it's subjective but yes i have seen people getting banned with no signature only because they were trying to reach the potential activity of the (probably) bought account and then enroll it in a signature campaign in the future. There is signature concept again.

People get banned (or something similar) for trolling and that is common among all communities. Sig is the difference on BCT.

Great list. Just a question staff, do you guys judge harsher against people with signatures than people without? I've been watching a few people who have been posting frequently without a signature, but as soon as they applied the signature, they haven't posted since... Banned, maybe?
Not really, but if you've got a signature you're often motivated to post more with less quality and the longer they go on getting paid the number of posts increases and the quality decreases so they get easier to spot. People often try farm accounts without signatures as well and they shoduldn't get away with posting crap just because they haven't got a signature.

Please, tell me more.

I can show you many legendary/trusted users not getting banned while their latest posts page is filled with one or two word comments.Sharing experiences and learning stuff is always encouraged but abusing it to get paid is not.

This is a global forum and no staff member expects everyone to post in excellent English. It's very easy to spot the difference between a low quality post made to get information about bitcoin etc.. and another low quality post made to get paid and of course it leads to many variations.

Isn't ore-mine an investor based game? In my understanding, if that's the case, it'd mean that it works very similarly to a ponzi scheme. Thankfully mining difficulty increases have been in their favor as they try to keep the "real mining" realistic.  Roll Eyes
I always had this doubt but i don't how people are classifying ponzi's here but oremine is nothing different from other low quality 10$ ponzi script's.
Just because he made some better calculations on how he could profit in 2 years ?

Just a small addition to this entry: they now have escrow, provided by master-P (with the campaign managed by yahoo62278), as you can see in the following post: https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/m.13341844.

Also, it should probably be added to the Miscellaneous section that "Posts in Local, Alternative Cryptocurrency, Politics & Society, Off-topic sections are not counted".

Goodbye, Z.
Hi, just wondering, just got a pm regarding the yobit campaign stating that all the participants who didn't up the quality of their posts would've been kicked from the campaign and possibly banned from the forum? Can i be banned just because of that? I'm not very active, and enrolled with yobit because they pay on a daily basis, although i'm just gonna quit if i'm risking a ban.

Even though it's not really on-topic, let me answer this:

You can be banned for spam regardless whether or not you are enrolled into a signature campaign. If you are wearing a paid signature people are easier to believe you are only spaming for the payments. But if a mod thinks you are spaming, they don't care whether or not you are in a campaign.

For the pm, that was probably hilariousandco, he's been taking over management of the yobit campaign.

No they can't. You can get banned for bad posts, but only if the staff thinks so, not because a campaign manager says so.

Well, in this case, with hilarious, staff and the campaign manager are the same person.

Goodbye, Z.
Yeah i know but putting all the signature stuff in one thread wouldn't harm anything ?

Depends how its made up.
Making the thread as complete as possible is one key,
but keeping a certain clarity should be another.

I dont know how easy that would be to achieve when campaigns not paying in btc would be included...

Depends on the serivce, most do not allow others. Some allow a different avatar campaign.
