Useful theread, thanks. Hope you can keep it updated properly.
Real estate is huge business, need a blockchain revolution  Cool

It will be hard to keep ICO state updated all the time, but I will try my best. If there comes new or missed project on this field just drop the links in here and I will add it to original post.

I've read quite a few negative articles about government certificates/rights etc when dealing with property. Is it really as difficult as they are chatting about?

If it is a transfer of ownership, in many countries it is very sophisticated. That is why Realt is focused on renting, advertising, and professional services for real estate market.

I think this is one of the greatest application of the blockchain I've seen so far. Usually one can only buy a property and profit from the rental payments when one's already quite old (or had help from parents). With this business model one can simply own a part of a real estate asset. No wonder there are so many start-ups running with this idea. The question is, which one to invest in. I'm doubting between Real and Atlant so far. I will make my decision after reading their whitepapers and checking their github page.

Did you forget Propy?

REAL and Propy look to be leaders in the space right now.

REAL seems taking the lead in the real estate crypto market. That's right. But the interesting thing is that why the hell should I be interested in real estate by using my crypto. That sector is not even profitable.

It depends what real estate is used for in the project.
I don't know every aspect of profitability of real estates, but I at least see that renting is profitable and it can also serve as backing of crypto.

That's right, and that is the reason why we are focused on Airbnb-style service based on cryptocurrency. Looking forward, we will have all types of real estate, marketing campaigns, advertising, and supplementary services. But the primary target is to deliver smart contracts and direct payments to the rental market. This is the way to apply blockchain relevantly, save much money for market participants, and attract traffic to REALT marketplace.

I can't believe how many real estate coins are there. I recall there was also an English one, trying to get some money from ICO to build student accommodation. Not a typical usage of blockchain Wink
