Probably don't do that? If it was solely for crypto investments portfolio then I guess it's okay but if it's overall investments then you should really widen your portfolio and start investing in say, stocks or others. It isn't really a great idea to invest only on one asset/investment, even if we do consider how good of a project said the investment is. As for altcoin investment, you can try investing in them but never let it stay for too long. Most altcoins are carried by hype so once a certain period passes, it just goes and buries itself down to the ground.
Tell me why shouldn't I consider putting everything in Bitcoin as that is the only stable coin on the stock market right now and if you don't guide yourself properly you will make the mistake of putting money into some altcoins whose outcome is always uncertain and highly risky just like Luna did to it, investors.

The market will always be unpredictable, if previously we saw a market trend that continued to be positive but this never guaranteed we would always be profitable, newbies or anyone else had to DYOR deeply, as is happening now, the market dropped more than 50% compared to ATH in November 2021, always wisely in making decisions will make us not regret.

In the crypto world, it is very difficult for us to predict where the market will move, therefore make sure we invest money that we can afford to lose.
So when the market moves down like what happened this year we will not panic, and will not sell cheap Bitcoin that we have. Like you said if we see
the market showing a positive trend, will not always be profitable. And vice versa, if the market shows a decline it is not always detrimental.
It depends on the decision and the strategy that we will use, therefore it is very important to do research and analysis before we make a decision.
So that we don't regret making the wrong decision, so if we see a declining market like now, don't be in a hurry to buy Bitcoin with all the money
we have. Because there is a possibility that the price of Bitcoin will still experience a lower decline, so why don't we buy Bitcoin gradually, so every time
the Bitcoin price goes down we can buy more Bitcoin at a low price. Such a strategy is much more effective for us to be able to generate maximum profit.

I don't take loans, ask for sig if I ever do.
It's not that Bitcoin has never crashed, it's that compared to the crashes, Bitcoin's market even in the long term still holds some guarantee that you can profit compared to other altcoins just from looking at its decade of history. It's a tried and tested investment so to speak. You'd never go wrong with investing on it for the long term, short term is another thing though since shorting Bitcoin is like shorting any other coin out there, unknown, risky, volatile, etc.

Yes all altcoins. Show me any alt with actual real world utility. And a few stores in the world accepting them doesn't count - there should be millions of active users to qualify a coin as having some utility.

This idea that there are good altcoins is precisely how shitcoins still manage to trick people, even after all these years of thousands of failed coins - shitcoins just convince people that they are one of the "good projects".
That's the catch. The entire project is about tricking people. Now who gets who first is the real question there.

Although bitcoin is very good and promising but i suggest not to put all the money in bitcoin, this is very risky, many people are crazy and stressed because of losses, of course only investing in values that have no effect is a better thing, i suggest if you already profit then immediately sell and leave some is better.
Putting money in bitcoin is more guaranteed for recovery than altcoins, so why do you say investing all money in bitcoin is risky?
if you are in doubt then make sure you buy bitcoin at the lowest price so as to avoid big losses, actually there is no loss if you still hold Bitcoin until the next ATH.

The price of altcoins is based on hype, artificial pumps, irrational speculation. It's not based on real world utility.
Correction! Not all altcoins but there are still a few altcoins that are not based on hype but these alts are also based on speculations because that is who crypto works. They can also experience an artificial pump or often called as bull trap. Lastly, there are also alts with real world utility.

Even some of the top ranking altcoins in the market arent still showing off some utility or does really have those relevant usage or something in related which do proves out that it doesnt precisely shows that a coin

is placed on the top will really be having that kind of quality and some of them are just been built up by some hype and fomo but there are actually which are really that having real use case or tagged or in line
with some platform or services.

Terms of investing then its not always been recommendable on going all in.

There's no company outside of crypto, big or small, that somehow utilizes smart contracts
Of course because they are not related to crypto but if related to cryptos, we have so called auditors like hacken, which checks the smart contracts of a project if they are legit or not.

Bitcoin is still far better than any altcoin thanks to LN. Because Bitcoin combines the robustness of its network with instant and nearly free transactions of LN, while altcoins have smaller network that can be attacked or exploited.
Yeah with LN in bitcoin, there's no need for any altcoins but I always wonder why people still prefer any other altcoins more than btc or LN? Those people didn't give honor to the original coin but they like to support other developers' work.

This is the ultimate advice ever imagine if one has put some good amount of money in Bitcoin since 2011 till date, the profits will be huge by now despite the market reduction recently but 32 thousand dollars Bitcoin price is not a joke, compared to the time of purchase. I will put whatever amount I can into buying more Bitcoin looking away from it for the next 10 years to see how far that could have gone.

It is nice to see at least a newbie with some common sense, every single day we see newbies taking enormous risks that even some of the most experimented members of the forum will never take and yet they think that somehow they are going to make things work, but as you may guess that is not what happens and the people that invested in altcoins lose a great deal of their money, and while what we saw with Terra Luna is the most extreme example of this, the truth is that we see something like this happening almost every single day.
Newbies come here usually from places that make them do like that, and that is the problem, because if you see what crypto is for the first time from a person who tweeted like "had 20 bucks in my account last year, now I am driving a lambo thanks to X token!!" and come here to buy that x token, you may get fooled.

But, someone who has a grain of brain would know that same could not happen that quickly and would start to instead learn what this is all about. I personally believe that we are going to have a lot more newbies who will be interested in learning a lot more and that will end up with something that will make them a lot more money in the long run, instead of just getting rich quick.

Putting literally all your money into Bitcoin is not a good idea, not in a sense that you should buy some alts, but in a sense that you should have other investments and free cash. Rule #1 is to never invest what you can't afford to lose, and no one can afford to lose all their money.

And as for alts, no one should be touching them, newbie or not. Fundamentally they have no value.

I agree on the fact that, all the alts are trash.
If we invest on alts, then for surely we will end up on losing all the investments.
I don't agree with you in the fact that you are not trusting on Bitcoins.
As the OP already said, Bitcoins are the one of the largest mined coins and have great potential.
Moreover we all know that how far Bitcoins have come from 2010.
Bitcoins are limited in supply, so eventually when the demand will be more, then the supply will be less and hence Bitcoins will rise again.
So if anyone has some spare money and wants to invest it somewhere. Then just blindly invest in Bitcoins if possible.
You will surely thank me later for this advice.
As a follow up to what you have said on Bitcoin potential there speculative nature of Bitcoin is somewhat minimal compared to altcoin though not all altcoins are trash we still have some potential altcoin that has a long term ability to make upward development just like Bitcoin, even though Bitcoin is the most secured we can not total roll out the ability of other coins in the market. And for diversification of our portfolio sake, we need to balance up our portfolio. So 100% Bitcoin portfolio is not cool for me

Am still new in this space both in cryptocurrency and in this forum and seeing what is happening even to stable coins lately make me decide to put all my investment funds into Bitcoin since Bitcoin has never crashed
Never crashed? In fact, this is what we see nowadays, we are in a market crash situation where the entire market is affected including Bitcoin.

If you think that Bitcoin is immune to this, you can be wrong and I will advise you not to focus on Bitcoin investment alone but rather to split it. There are a lot of investment opportunities in your local (that are surely possible), you can invest them as well to back up your Bitcoin investment as this was a smart and wise idea.
Maybe he expressed himself wrongly and probably meant bitcoin doesn't lose value on long run, different from altcoins which lose volume, influence and adoption as the market evolves or when their hypes are gone. So far bitcoin has been immune to crashes on long term, always surprising investors and enthusiasts positively when looking the bigger picture. Furthermore, I believe OP is already aware bitcoin is the dominant currency on this market, in every directions: upside or downside. It's bitcoin which launches the bullish and bearish seasons, while the rest of the market's currencies just follow its fluctuations. So it makes total sense to concentrate the investment in BTC, that could be considered the "cause" and altcoins the "consequences" or "effects".

If someone says Bitcoin never crashes, it means he has no knowledge of the crypto world. Due to the fact that not only this year has Bitcoin crashed
or dropped in price very drastically, but Bitcoin has fallen repeatedly. But what makes Bitcoin special compared to other coins, Bitcoin can always
recover no matter how deep the price of Bitcoin falls. Therefore Bitcoin is the safest choice for investment, so it is not wrong if there are newbies
who do not understand the crypto world well, finally decided to use all his capital to invest in Bitcoin. Instead of him choosing the wrong coins
for investment, but like you said it would be better if we diversify when investing. This means don't just invest in Bitcoin, but our capital can be used
to invest in several assets.

I think for newbies, at least don't just focus on investing in crypto, it would be better if the capital it has is also bought in gold or the stock market.
Even if we have a large enough capital, I think we should try investing in real-estate too. The conclusion is that investing in several assets will make
the profit we generate much better.

Am still new in this space both in cryptocurrency and in this forum and seeing what is happening even to stable coins lately make me decide to put all my investment funds into Bitcoin since Bitcoin has never crashed or a billion coins getting minted out of no we're and dump into the market just like Luna tereUSTD did, so for your peace of mind I advise newbies to rely only on highly decentralized crypto Bitcoin. Until you learn enough to decide which risk to take and which not to.

Thanks, ops I have seen how many newbies like myself make a lot of mistakes all to make big profits from altcoin that does not have sustainable market viability, for a long term sake one needs to put all in Bitcoin. In the coming days and still planning to convert my other assets and put them all into Bitcoin.
Well if you fully aware that even bitcoin could always fail at any time , then go forr it. Big risk big return indeed, but for now bitcoin seems doing fine which is good for you , but still you should never forget that there is a huge risk await.

Brace yourself and wish you a goodluck putting all your lifesaving there  Grin
Acceptance of the risk i would say or we do all  know on which people could neither be accepting the risk involved or not and its up to their choice whether they would be integrating it into their business or not.

As long you accept the risk then i dont see anything wrong or hindrance for someone to make up decisions. Its your money so its your full control on what you should gonna do.

Mind off about the things that could  possibly happen if ever the market would be bitter and on the time that it do make some greens.

Smart choice. Too many people dive into alts because they think they will get rich. The lucky ones who bought in early do briefly make a lot of money, and then alts always crash and they lose it and sell at a loss. With Bitcoin you know that as long as you keep your money in it long term you will always grow your wealth, no matter what the short term price movements are.

Even I, who first got into Bitcoin in 2013, made the mistake of diversifying out some of my Bitcoin last year (i used to be 95% Bitcoin, 4+% ETH, tiny bit of LINK) into the various L1 smart contract platforms, thinking they were going to start taking off. Now looking at the non-ETH smart contract space all I see is desolation haha, not just from a bear market perspective but from the fact that none of them are really doing anything. I wasted a bunch of Bitcoin thinking that diversifying some into rising altcoin L1 platforms would be a good idea. Got rid of most of them after Luna collapsed. That was the final lesson I needed to only bother adding to my Bitcoin stash in the future.
