here goes:

- mass data collection without informing the people. if you do something, why do it behind their back?
- no customer service email (you are not the customer, you are the product) - but still.
- full-size ads on the Google Youtube. They could do with banners below the videos, why to annoy us?
- forcing users to use real name to suit their business model. (Privacy is a human right, but not respect by the current regimes)
- forcing people to use Google+ everywhere. Not everybody wants a social network shoven up their *ss
- censorship on Google Search, Youtube etc
- Google drive sucks
- Spyware. They are not able to cope with spyware. The Google Play Store is full of spyware apps. For example, the number one anti-virus app was a scam! Recently there was spyware in their Chrome Store known as BTC-Ticker. But there is much more spyware out there.
- Youtube is slow.
- The Google logo changing constantly. It can be a disadvantage for users.

there are more reasons but I got tired of writing

Remember when yahoo search had a image by it that said powered by altavista and then after a while it said powered by google.

I was like i want my alta vista back.  Who woulda thunk that little google logo became what it is.

Google is brilliant in many areas and may 'suck' in others. Google is not for everyone. Some would prefer iOS over Android, others may prefer FireFox over Chrome (no IE please). Google is providing their services for free. If you do not like them, you are free to go too. I personally find google maps and their search extremely useful.

Google is now monopolizing search engines business. There is no alternative really if you want to search internet, google search is the best. But probably everything you are searching or typing in google services is stored on their servers and government has access to it.

I think Google is something amazing. But indeed some features that were removed I remember as a great ones...
I remember that old youtube was much much better ... Smiley

but anyway ... I think Google rules Smiley (but ... I think what they are heading to is dangerous for our privacy)

eric schmidt says that if you have something you don't want people to know, you shouldn't be doing it in the first place.. except he has multiple misstresses and orgy parties.. and he tries to get people to sign nondisclosure contracts to keep it from leaking. http://gawker.com/5898921/after-three-mistresses-googles-chairman-still-adores-his-wife

I think the biggest thing about it is is how compliant they are with the NSA.

THIS!!!  Grin

Yes, and now they openly admit that they are scanning everyone's emails.   They say it is for "advertising" purposes...but you know it is for more than just that.

The funny thing is that google got so good at doing everything, and making everything easier than everyone else, that the part that sucks about it is that they basically own you now...lol

I agree but that isn't what I'm getting at I'm talking about the privacy of the users not being stolen and sold to the highest bidder.  I'm talking about censorship and profiling users to give them information based on their search history, instead of giving all the useful information needed for the person to make up their own minds on what is of use to them.

EDIT

Does anybody else use the Discussion filter and when did they notice it was goin and did u care?

I don't think there is any better search engine than Google available

Start search is better for a couple reasons.  They don't track their users and they don't censor information.  I also look foward to the email service they plan to provide.
Start Search is enhanced by Google itself so i don't think they will work same without Google.
