Darn, missed out on a Merit opportunity. Well, at least the mystery's solved!
That's how meta is useful for forum, LOL. When I checked my received merit history I was surprised, 10 merits from Bitcoin forum. When I clicked on profile I was more surprised because its redirecting to my own profile. So as usual I came on meta and got answer as well. I just wonder to create thread but this thread draw my attention. Thanks OP for create this thread.

You get 10 merits if your caption submission was in the top voted. 1 merit if you have voted at all, and 2 merits if its only in the 2nd table. I don't think you get multiples of 10 if you have multiple submissions within the top rated table.
Therefore, the highest amount you could have received is 11 merit from the caption voting contest thingy.

This should be enough to find it

I recived it too. 10 merits from unknown giver on unknown post.

You could say that someone merited my post right before it was deleted. But as a person addicted from BTT i have multiple tabs with bitcointalk opened in my browser. One of those was my bitcointalk profile with 1535 posts and 599 merits.
And here are current stats (before this post):
As you can see amount of posts did not change. No post was deleted 10 merits was recived out of nowhere.

To make this post a little less worthless I will add a suggestion to change "(Deleted/Off-limits/Ignored)" to "contest participant award" to awoid misunderstanding

I got two transactions totaling 11 merit also. I believe it took a few minutes for my merit count to update.
The merit was from the captain contest that recently ended.

Merit shows instantly on posts, but it can take a while to update in your profile and under your avatar.

Anyone else notice the same? Perhaps Loyce has scraped some relevant data to back up my suspicion?
I did notice this at first, but it seems to have corrected itself in the last few minutes. Seems its now updated for you too as you're now at 3037 without receiving any merit from anyone after "Bitcoin Forum". Anyone else notice the same?
