I think the point of what OP wanted to happen is to shill this vivigle thing.

Otherwise, he signed up for some 'free sats' related to that company.

That is also what I had in my mind now, or perhaps a faucet or a consolation prize from a contest that he joined but he forgot when.
It is impossible to happen to send BTC in your wallet and you don't know if it an error or what.
By the way OP, as now 500 sats is just nothing. But at least you've still got on that.

I have received 350 satoshi from  an unknown source before. The funny thing is that the cost of sending the BTC is higher than the value of btc sent. I think yours came from advertising adds or randomly, just as mine. Anyways, anyhow, enjoy your "free btc" Grin

there is much expenses on spending the fees rather than the total amount that you received, I guess it is just a test sending BTC to someones address before doing a huge sending amount.
What?sending bitcoin for testing? Are you serious? No ofcourse theres no such thing

I think that is supposed to be arandom sending for any reason,or hope thats not a scamming strategy or I don’t know butbi am sure theres no testing for sending again huge amount

I also got so many 120 satoshis on that month.
My wallet on waves wallet got 120 every day and sometimes twice a day.
I never registered to any website nor airdrop, i never used that wallet to be sure and honest.
That is why i am thinking who and why they are sending me, lasted for almost 2 months days.
So how much total of satoshi you have got from the anonymous sender? Can yiu share us?

i have checked my wallet and found payment of 0.00000546 BTC from address i don't know 1ViViGLEawN27xRzGrEhhYPQrZiTKvKLo.
first time i receive something like this  Cheesy.
i did some google search ,turned out a site with name vivigle who sent it , i don't care if this just advertising , it's funny  ,

maybe you get BTC through airdrop or other bounty, try you to remember! because it is impossible for you to receive payment without anyone knowing your BTC address. it's not funny and I once experienced the same thing as you.

it is in BTC then the sender might get the BTC thru the application of the receiver to a particular campaign, this is normal since our BTC address are published publicly meaning anyone of us can send some BTC to an address owned by someone we dont know.

Well, if you got it then good but surprisingly thing is that how they get your bitcoin address? May be you do something for them. Better to ask them, and if you are not interesting on it then enjoy it. But still it is strange thing, may be some probably random then it is happened and by mistake they sent 500 satoshi in you ID.

You may follow airdrop on the website. Congratulations for the gift you received  Grin. It's funny, 500 satoshi means nothing.

This happens to people all the time and I dont think there is a reason as to why.
Still, its not like you randomly received a life changing amount of satoshis, barely a few cents.
Sometimes I check my MEW and I have some random tokens in there but I will never use them.

In the MEW it is normal that you will received some token on your account due to most of the time your MEW address been published on the bounty campaign specially when you are joining in different campaigns here.

nothing about "spam" is funny! and the amount of bitcoin you received is going to cost you more than it paid you or at the very least it is going to be a nuisance when you have to deselect that particular transaction output each time you want to make a new transaction so that it doesn't increase your transaction size.

not to mention that it is a new unspent transaction output which nodes have to have in their memory from now on for no reason!
Nothing big. Either you have to deselect when you are creating new transaction or receive some funds on that address later when you are in need of BTC. It will work, although the amount any step you take doesn't going to be worthy.

Thewe are called Bitcoin dust transactions and if you are privacy conscious individual, you should get rid of it.

https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.coindesk.com/bitcoin-dust-tell-get-rid%3famp

Actually he should have earned those small satoshi amounts most likely from their referral system: https://vivigle.com/site/earnings

All referral payments will be added to your Vivigle wallet automatically

No clue if he had real referrals and he's legitm or someone hacked his account and basically transfered with some sort of connection to his address.

If that is from referals then the satoshi should only be recieve on his vivigle account's recieving address and not on his exact bitcoin wallet/address .

500 sats worths only 0.2 USD now. But I can't understand why they sent you only 500 sats. It is less then transaction fee.

I know a campaign before that pays satoshi for a small task .  they pay in bulk or in batch so that the fees wont hurt that much  .  i believe op has particpated on this kind of campaign before but he only forgot .
