I read the information that some Chinese or Japanese project confused tokens with bitcoin and sent people bitcoins to their wallets. But there seems to have been the sum of more than 500 Satoshi. In any case, these Satoshi could not come to you just like that. Most likely, you just indicated your wallet in some project.

I've also recieved a few random payments (worth about 10 cents) when I just created my wallet. It's just spam or something, and I don't think it's for a good cause. For instance, my phone wallet could freeze and crash if I get too many small payments on it. But it's okay if you get only a few, then you shouldn't really mind it.

nothing about "spam" is funny! and the amount of bitcoin you received is going to cost you more than it paid you or at the very least it is going to be a nuisance when you have to deselect that particular transaction output each time you want to make a new transaction so that it doesn't increase your transaction size.

not to mention that it is a new unspent transaction output which nodes have to have in their memory from now on for no reason!
It is no reason to be funny. It is not a dash, but a trap I guess. You cannot use it, you cannot spend it and you cannot even remove it. It is truly a nuisance.

A random selections coming from the owner of that project, same like with other post here, maybe its's a new way for promoting the project

thats an expensive way of promoting because he will only cost more fees than the actual amount he sent  and this kind of promotion is not super effective because 99 percent of people wont bother to track the address on where the coins were sent  .

how can we get a free satoshi

you can get free sats at a bitcoin faucet .

It seems that you may have forgotten that once upon a time, you've participated in their airdrop or something.
I am most certain that you've done something. Nowadays, nothing is free. How on earth will they be able to have the informations of your wallet? Did they randompicked it out of thin air

if its an airdrop then the payment should be a token or an altcoin .

500 free satoshi is nothing in this day of age, consider yourself lucky and maybe this is a sign that you are welcomed.
On the other hand I cant say I have honestly ever seen someone upset with free satoshi in their wallet.

A random selections coming from the owner of that project, same like with other post here, maybe its's a new way for promoting the project, given those who received the said amount of satoshi and being curios it will lead them to find the site where details will be explained, but considering the effort of
checking where the funds came won't be bothered those many people who knows the value of 500sats.

It seems that you may have forgotten that once upon a time, you've participated in their airdrop or something. Or maybe this can be a registration reward.

I, too, think that this likely was what the airdrop. Also I heard about cases when in some similar way stole money from a purse. So be careful.

i have checked my wallet and found payment of 0.00000546 BTC from address i don't know 1ViViGLEawN27xRzGrEhhYPQrZiTKvKLo.
first time i receive something like this  Cheesy.
i did some google search ,turned out a site with name vivigle who sent it , i don't care if this just advertising , it's funny  ,

that's really strange to tell you honestly, you might be joined before in bitcoin faucets then it just sent to your wallet, but to send it to your wallet without any reason, that's really insane and ridiculous mate. Well, if that's really true be thankful at least you experienced that kind of free bitcoin to your wallet.

that's worth a lot in 2017 but not anymore with the present price I would not even bother to do research where it came from but 1 bitcoin is a different story noting funny about that I have received a small amount from faucets without knowing it because of my referrals click.

maybe you have registered at their place to become their member and then you don't do anything. and that is a gift from them that is not much because you don't contribute anything other than just registering. this is only my opinion

this is something that you have participated before because the vivigle wont know your address unless you post it to somewhere, for me, they dont waste their time looking for btc address and send that kind of amount.

I was browsing my wallet details on Blockchain's explorer, and after doing some digging into who might've sent me the coins, I stumbled upon this thread. My transaction happened to come from the tx eb475a400defc4d3223be7dd8c1afb73fc6f558220770ac55601b030d5312b91 and the same address as listed in the OP, 1ViViGLEawN27xRzGrEhhYPQrZiTKvKLo. Seems like this is coming from a service named Vivigle that specialized in 'rating' cryptocurrency, funnily enough I am getting a "C" looking up my wallet on their site. I don't appreciate spam at all and I'd rather have one less transaction than one or two cents coming into my wallet, though. I combine transactions every few months on purpose so that I don't get increased fees on every transaction I make, and this just sets me back every time I clean up my wallet(s). Definitely seems like Vivigle's trying to advertise itself through this new form of advertisement, though having to Google the wallet address just to find out where the coins are from doesn't seem very efficient for advertisement to me.

I think this kind of case happened to another user or someone's bitcoin wallet. And if you see the number that is only 500 satoshi, chances are it's the result of airdrop or you participate in other gifts. Think of it as an unexpected fortune and it is not something that is funny or accidentally misdirected. Hopefully you are always lucky, friend  Smiley

I believe you have carried out one form of task or the other for you to have received such amount, may be you sign up on they site and decided to welcome you by sending you some amount of bitcoin to encourage you. Most site carry out such promotional bonus and invite incentives too.

Nobody pays for nothing. You must have signed up to somewhere and they may ask for a payment in later time for their services or something you don't even know.

I also got three transactions already to two difference address, (one of them for sure never participate in any airdrop) I think this is one way of advertising to attract customers to register i vivigle servise.
