That's complete bullshit

DT might in fact have been created to warn people of fishy behavior but did it actually prevent anyone from scamming? Quite the contrary, it was specifically used a few times in the past to gain more trust and then pull off a scam attempt on even more people who took this system seriously and believed the trust of the scammer. This is the issue which many forget to mention or just to consider. So much for scam prevention

Hit in DT1 or DT2 list ≠ Reputation or Personal Trust

I'm not sure what you mean by that

You can have hundreds of feedbacks sent to fraudulent users, but this does not mean that your personal trust will be high.

It is not about hundreds of feedbacks sent to fraudulent users

As it is specifically about scammers exploiting the Trust system to their advantage by boosting their trust level over time and thus attracting more guileless forum members before the exit. Whether they were in DT or not is not very important here (even though some of them likely were). All in all, it pretty much means that the Trust system, instead of preventing scams and frauds, actually promoted them. I remember someone listing these former high-trusted forum members that had scammed in the end

...

You will have to live with that

I talk based on what @Big Boobies say.
This soundsl ike I'm frustrated,

return to the point.

chickens always come home to roost,
Not all chickens can return to their cages if, this happens:
1. Chickens do not want to go back to their cage if their employer does not pay attention to them, they are not fed frequently, etc. They are better off living outside with natural food.
2. Chickens also do not want to go back to the cage, if in the cage there is another rooster, who is more courageous than him, for fear of being brutally attacked by other chickens in the cage, finally dying.

All the issues at this Forum are not the goals of one person that must be considered, but there are other things put in place to be better, many Members here who never stop eradicating spammers, fraud, nonsense.
@theymos, and Mod, are not bored, to do the best for the Forum, so that it is better and safer from all negative actions.

Sorry, a little too much.

DT's were created to prevent the scam or to alert users in this forum. This is why DT were being created to act on the scam threads. If there ain't any of them here then this forum would be flooded with scammers. These DT's are responsible and if you think that it is being abused then that DT user must be reported. There is no better way to promote the forum for its betterment by reporting scammers and to those who abused the DT system

Maybe for the time being you are frustrated, people feel no longer caring about what you do, or even disappointed about everything, frustrated with the habit of being pessimistic about yourself and towards others.
This is very careful for you, in the long run, the chronic stress that you are seriously facing at this Forum, can cause health problems for you, such as digestive problems, heart disease, depression and obesity, eventually dying.

You should be very careful about such words

As they say, chickens always come home to roost, which is colloquially known as karma is a bitch and she takes her job seriously. Just a friendly reminder

All members in this Forum do good things and actions that are useful for eradicating spammers,
There is no corruption, Mafia in this forum.

With such a weird irrelevant name doesn't speak to good of you. Most people found wanting as to the issue of getting red tagged prefer to nag about how unfair the system is. But to understand this clearly they are numerous users here who sticks to the rules and abide by it and has no reason to get tagged or complain about it.
Why don't you try to see where you went wrong and weigh it without any being bias probably you would get the clearer picture

bitcointalk is falling in shambles and I know for a fact these gambling sig shillers are taking bribe money and doing backdoor deals all the time.
Yeah, OK.  Post evidence or you're full of shit.  Also, the forum is "falling in shambles" not because of DT but because of all the scammers and shitposters, which make up probably 85% of the population.  That's why most threads are completely unreadable and why the Scam Accusation section is never at a loss for new threads.

It's not decentralized.
Nope, it's not.  It drives me nuts when people throw this word 'decentralized' around like it's the holy grail and is a panacea for everything wrong with the world.  In other threads I've given at least one example from the field of health care where it makes a lot more sense for operations to be centralized, and there are probably thousands of examples if not more where decentralization isn't the best solution.

OP, there's no way for anyone to judge whether you're the victim of anything unless we know who you are.  I suspect you're an alt of someone recently tagged, and probably a member of the CH/Thule/Rambotnic/itomarketing/etc. gang.  Chances are you fully deserved whatever red trust you received--but again, that can't be evaluated unless you disclose your main account.  If it's already been red-trusted, I don't see what the additional risk is in telling us what it is.

Post proof so we all know it for a fact and you can be sure they will be out of DT extremely soon.
That's a fact.  DT tends to police itself pretty well.  Not perfectly, of course, but any members who consistently exhibit poor judgement in handing out red (or green) trust won't be on DT for much longer.  They probably wouldn't be on DT to begin with, since members generally have to have a track record of good trust judgement before they're even considered to be DT material.

A brand new account creates a thread to complain about trust system giving zero information in topic and thread slowly become another "lauda discussion" thread.
Classic sockpuppeting  Roll Eyes

OP if you don't mind, point us to your account, I would like to see reason behind this thread.

Considering that Lauda is proud of the fact they hand out mass negative ratings assembly line style, bringing up Lauda is quite appropriate.

Notice how almost everyone who excludes Lauda is also excluded from the default trust list? I am sure this is just a coincidence...
Ummm, obviously. It would only take approximately 30 people to exclude lauda from being in DT. Just read this explanation, and you will believe beyond a reasonable doubt, no beyond any doubt the trust system is working perfectly:
All this tells me that the system is reasonably resilient to manipulation by sockpuppeting assholes. If "many people" translates into enough DT1 exclusions then Lauda will be excluded. There are ~80 members in DT1 and only 30 or so exclusions are needed to kick Lauda off. Unless you want to show proof that 50+ DT1 members are colluding it seems that you're full of shit as usual.

I thought this forum is supposed to be decentralized

It's not decentralized.

Its just about the principle at this point, people going around bullying others What gives them the right,

With the amount of time we have been here, the community gives us the right.

I get bunched in with the scammers and spammers for doing nothing wrong.

Of course you did something wrong - that's why you made a new account.  Smiley

I would refer you to this thread. There are many people who agree lauda should not be on DT (if you don't believe me, look at the below list of the 1st 75 people who have excluded lauda), and the person behind the thread did not come anywhere close to achieving its stated goal despite stacking the deck in its favor by using 5 alts to boost its goal.

Despite being involved in an extortion scheme, and multiple other controversies, he has successfully excluded everyone that has left him negative trust. The same is true for others with high trust scores who selectively scam people.

Ah, the nebulous "others". Instead of throwing this nonsense around random threads you should post proper scam accusation topics (not pill addiction BS) and let the DT1 members decide if the accusations are credible and serious enough for the alleged perpetrators to be excluded. Or convince theymos to blacklist them.

BTW you have excluded most DT members who negged you. But I bet there is a reason why that's totally not hypocritical.

no other past or present list user is my alt

I thought this forum is supposed to be decentralized, why are the few mobsters holding power over all of us.  They throw out red trust like they are giving out halloween candy.  Why do we continue to let them abuse and use us like this.  Its just about the principle at this point, people going around bullying others What gives them the right, that guy doesn't even understand shit about bitcoin.  This soundsl ike I'm frustrated, yes I am I really do care about this forum but we have bullies here that come and act like this is their house and their the kings.  I've provided knowledge and help to the community and I get bunched in with the scammers and spammers for doing nothing wrong.  Why is this corrupt trust system even is place, bitcointalk is falling in shambles and I know for a fact these gambling sig shillers are taking bribe money and doing backdoor deals all the time.  So much corruption so much power tripping on a virtual forum that used to be a place of great discussion.

How far are those decentralized forum you speak off doing? Bitcoin is decentralized not Bitcointalk so your assumptions are wrong. it'll result to an unlivable environment if the forum was to be controlled by the scammers and cheaters all asking for power through decentralization. A little centralization isn't that bad and that's the only way a forum as big as Bitcointalk can be operated. The new DT system have given power to the people to vote in or out DT members so what else do you want? You complain of centralization yet you use centralized exchange at least Bitcointalk isn't asking for your KYC everyone is free to be anonymous here if you choose to and discuss or trade peer2peer somethings involving escrow, isn't that what satoshi wanted? You just have to do things right here and you'll be fine. Avoid scam like activities, avoid defaulting any forum rules and abusing them. Do this things and you'll enjoy your stay here. Remember this guys are mostly volunteers & they're giving their best so if you find a flaws in the system, do well to alert them & always appeal your case if you know you're innocent of the accuse crime.

The above practice is analogous to the government refusing to impose modest regulations on the actions of an oligopoly, which results in the oligopoly imposing many restrictions on what citizens can and cannot do, and acting unfairly in the process. It is nearly impossible to rid the oligopoly of its power, due in large part to high barriers to entry. While on the other hand, if the government were to impose modest regulations unfairly, voters could vote the government out of power.

It's not like that at all. What you're proposing would put all decisions into the hands of one individual - theymos, and that doesn't seem to be something he wants. Nor is he elected in any way so if the community doesn't like his decisions - SOL. On the other hand, the current system is based on voting and the community has a lot of influence on how DT is formed.

Perhaps you'd have more success if you actually exposed the "massive regulation by a select few who are accountable to no one" using facts and not some cockamamie theories. Simple math shows that this mythical group would need more than "few" of the ~80 DT1 members to have any sort of control.
