Remind me again what my personal satisfaction has to do with other people following the rules? I know you are trying to equate the two, but it is just not making any sense. I get great joy from exposing these types of behaviors. Even if it means obsessive control freaks like you and your buddies feel the need to constantly inject yourself into every action I take, or word I speak at any opportunity in a desperate effort to try to manufacture your preferred narrative around me, and send a clear message to anyone else who might think of not swearing fealty to your protection racket, I am still achieving my goal.

If you're happy will all that then you should probably stop wasting moderator's time with the frivolous reports. You may also want to disclose your fetish when you make these public complaints because for sane people "a small group of  very vocal people [...] who make a habit of obsessively following me around" may sound like a negative.

Hey look some one else who really doesn't like my political views that doesn't know how to separate their emotions from facts. I report off topic posts. I don't report posts just because they disagree with me or whatever you are trying to insinuate. Posting literally nothing but personal attacks is not on topic regardless of what you think the "tone" was, and posts like this going in the other direction are regularly and promptly removed.

Trying to get a mod to delete those posts in the impeachment thread wasn't cool - I don't think suchmoon or nutil were out of line at all considering the general tone of the thread.

You gotta admit, it's kind of funny going back and reading this post and the following like 10 or so responses knowing that you were actually pissed off enough to try and get a mod to delete suchmoons and nutils posts.  

The entire forum isn't against me, just a small group of very vocal people such as yourself who make a habit of obsessively following me around and commenting on everything I do and say. Technically there are no official rules here period, so you could literally make that argument about any "rule" here, because there are no official rules or terms of service posted anywhere on the forum. That is my point. The rules are applied selectively, and some people are held to the letter of the unwritten law, and some people (like you) get endless excuses made for why there should be an exception made for their malfeasance because you polish the balls of anyone with any ability to do anything about it.

The entire trust system has turned into one giant protection racket. You sure worked hard to build that reputation in this sea of fraud, it would be a shame of some one were to burn it down using a system that provides you no due process wouldn't it. I see no rational countering from you. I see no delusions on TS part since he is merely presenting observable instances that can be seen as the rules being enforced selectively. Although they are certainly not the BEST nor strongest examples of selective enforcement that have taken place here recently.

I see NO RESPONSE from ANY mods over why posts that merely blurt out  " who made this cunt bleed" or " shut up you used tampon"  are marked as bad?? WHY NOT? because that scumbag mod that marks them bad and then goes and later gives merit to that kind of shit is a coward and will never dare to face me in open debate because he would be crushed and destroyed in public. So hides away meriting rule breaking posts full of bogus accusations that we debunk instantly.

I did back up my claims, you just imagine I didn't because it serves you. I am not dancing around anything, rules are selectively enforced. While I am sure you would love it if we could just talk about you for hours, that is off topic. All some one has to do is look at your post history for plenty of examples. Plenty of people totally lose their reputations for doing exactly what you did and condemned others for, but you get the special rules because you fondle all the right balls. Nothing is ever a rule here, that is part of the problem. It is only a rule when people want it to be a rule, and when they don't want it to be a rule there is always some excuse why it doesn't apply to their buddy or some one who agrees with you. Again, this kind of system is what breeds chaos, conflict, and lack of respect for authority.

Well its been what like 4 days? If he is taking that much time off maybe he should resign. Side note, I just checked and they were all marked bad. Funny how that works he ignores it until called out then pretends they were invalid.

Or perhaps FHF was off that day, or deferred the decision to other mods because you're crying about his every move. So many possibilities but it must be a conspiracy.

Sorry Nutilduhhh, but you can in fact be off topic in your own threads. Just because you started it doesn't mean you now dictate the rules. You are still required to maintain the discussion on the topic of the OP.

As far as Suchgoon, my reply was a direct reply about the previous comment, reaffirming that I made a logical argument including sources, which is very much on topic. Your little circle jerk snipe fest directed at me was not. Also as predicted Flying Hellfish would near instantly delete these types of comments if directed toward his left leaning friends, but since it is me they perpetually remain "unhandled".

That is clearly false. We have had posts of our own deleted from our own threads. (wrongly in our own case ). Sometimes as a direct response to questions or accusations that are left there that are clearly more off topic.

However, of course you can go off topic in your own thread if they hold you to the rules as theymos has explained them. Every post should be relevant directly to the OP at least in some part of your post if not the majority of it.

So yes you can certainly be off topic in your own thread if they want to claim you are.

I would say the only context you can not be off topic at all if is they allow your thread to be derailed even after you report the offending posts and you just go with the new permitted flow the mods are permitting even after you complain.  Then to moderate it would be clear moderator abuse.

I would say in most cases the thread starter should be allowed some free reign but to let it go to extremes would of course waste other contributors effort and time addressing the original point if you were to then just veer off on a totally unrelated tangent.

Permitted flow is complex and needs to really be thrashed out and detailed guidelines brought in.

The mods really (although sometimes taking the piss imho) are left to guess what is and what is not permitted flow, so really there will be some variance in decisions taken. We do have some small sympathy for getting moderation 100% spot on because that is at this time impossible.

It's quite amusing how he thought that his post about him being not concerned is on topic but my post isn't. That is, unless he reported his own post too but forgot to list that fact in his REEE thread.

To be fair though, I wouldn't have been shocked if a bunch of those memes ended up deleted but such action would inevitably include his "no u" meme and that would cause another whinestorm. I don't think a viable strategy exists for mods to handle TECSHARE's complaints to his satisfaction.
