Or he probably had nothing and they were just empty threats. A lot of scammers feeling indignant will resort to such childish methods, which never improve their situation. If they—for once—logically thought it through, they would realize that it was pointless to even send such a threat.
Especially one that would not affect the intended parties.

Actually I feel like I should have clarified, I meant he would required negatives from DTs which is substantially more difficult than regular negatives and from what little I have seen there's very obvious "factions" (without delving too deep into that since I guess it's pretty who's usually supporting who) and any DT negatively rating another generally causes a crap ton of unnecessary drama and hence it's pretty unlikely any DT would act to support some inconsequential nobody.

I'm currently yet to edit my trust list since I'm still figuring out who's reliable and worthy of being trusted. I particularly don't bother reading the numbers at times and feel the actual details are more relevant. Quite a few times the unstrusted feedback can prove to be useful (there's quite a few "trusted" but not DT members who leave ratings) and reading the references attached which usually gives you a clearer picture than arbitrary ratings which may or may not be accurate. Obviously I ignore all the retaliatory and downright idiotic feedback like the ones left on everyone's profile "Wants Gay child porn".

It would require negative ratings from trusted people to affect suchmoon in any way whatsoever.  Check my trust page.  With a relatively new account and moderate anti-abuse activity, I already have 5 negatives—all retaliatory red from morons.  Do I like like I’m in the negative to you?  Now, look at suchmoon’s trust page.  I count about seven dozen red marks.  Like mine, they show under “Untrusted feedback” unless you’re stupid enough to add people like Danos to your trust list.

Or if you really want an eye-popping sight, look at Lauda’s trust page.  There, in addition to about a zillion untrusted red marks from whining spammers and scammers, you may see a few allegedly “trusted” negatives from OgNasty and shorena.  It is for this reason that I recommend setting exclusions, such as ~OgNasty.  Or better still, dump DefaultTrust and set up your own trust list from scratch.  I currently have the following at my Depth 0, and the world of the Bitcoin Forum looks quite different to me than it will to you:

There is much more to learn about the trust system.  I suggest you start with theymos’ announcement thereof, although n.b. that some things have changed in the five years since his OP in that thread.  Also, it’s ironic that the first reply was from TradeFortress, who subsequently pulled one of the worst long-con scams in Bitcoin Forum history.  By the way (I know you replied there; though that thread may be difficult for you to understand if you don’t dig around and figure out the history of the characters involved).

Well he doesn't seem to be very smart either  But for real though what's even the point of this thread, the "threats" clearly aren't working. The rating has now been seen by quite a few people and any countering of trust ratings would be pretty useless (AFAIK it would require like 3-4 negative ratings to bring suchmoon to Negative and I doubt that would happen as then given the "hype" that would create that would start petty rating wars)


From what I've read in his accusation threads he pretty much sets off on a high horse and attacks anyone criticizing him non stop till people stop. He's pretty much gaslighting people IMO

I never spoke against emotion.  Rather, against empathy.  The discussion started after a DT (whom I otherwise respect) said he felt sad over the plea of an allegedly impoverished spammer who allegedly really, really needed to spam.  Even if the sob story be true, I have no empathy, compassion, or pity whatsoever for such a cretin.

(N.b. that if poverty were adequate cause for criminal behaviour, then I myself would have become a criminal at certain points in my life.  I did not; and I have nothing but cold contempt for those who do.)


I just set my profile birthday to my account’s creation date.  Since my account is now only 11 months old, my profile now shows my age as 0.  Beat that.
