Hi. I just created a transaction with BitInstant. Specifically Dwolla to BitInstant and am seeing the same message. It eventually failed. Currently awaiting response from [email protected]. Is there anything I can do in the meantime?

Ok, then if it shows sent the problem definitely isn't that you couldn't send because of the 30-day probationary period.

The messages are mostly "Dwolla failed verification - unable to locate".  It tries again a few times, then gives up.

Ok, I don't know BitInstant's procedures after you send from Dwolla.

Just to confirm though

In your Dwolla account, look at your Activity, then click Money Out, and look for the transaction.
Then click Details.
What does it show for "Status:"?

It should say "Sent".

I proceeded with the transfer minutes after the 30-day mark had passed.
Perhaps this is the issue?  I hope this doesn't need to get Dwolla involved, as their system shows the transfer as gone.

The error seems to be during the verification process with Dwolla.

Dwolla is a cash transfer system.   When Alice sends a payment to Bob, Dwolla simply subtracts that amount from her account and adds it (less fee if applicable) to Bob's account.

There is no "verification" for transactions.  Either there were funds available and a transfer is made instantly or the transaction request is not possible -- with instant feedback provided.

So if you are a new Dwolla account and do not yet have the funds in your Dwolla account (or are still in the 30-day probationary period where you cannot send funds to a merchant that trades Bitcoins), this problem you are experiencing would not be something related to BitInstant.

Can you provide a few more details as to what you mean by "verification process"?

Hope this is fixed soon, I need my money quickly if at all possible.
