I'm pretty active on Steemit and Reddit and in the last few months, I noticed a lot of disrespect from the crypto community members towards each other. I wonder if it was also in the early stage of the market.
I believe the main reason is the number of different projects in the crypto space.

Everyone claiming the project they support gonna changes the ecosystem, disrespect bitcoin, ethereum, and other projects that are pretty much the foundations of this ecosystem, and talk $@ one to another.

How can we move on from here and make this a better place?

That is how popularity mean, they are using the name of the popular projects and ride with them so they can be acknowledged easily as they use or attacked the great existing coins

But you are.perfectly right that respect will bring each project to success if they use Respect unto others and just focus on their advertising

In this virtual space there is a lot of disrespect and actually, there isn't much you can do about this. People are hidden behind their monitors and cellphones thinking they can bully anyone on the another side of the screen without consequences.
Just ignore them, or if this kind of people bothers you too much, you can block them, so you won't see any content they post anymore. To argue with most ignorant people is a total waste of time, as you won't convince them about anything and they will make you waste time.

How can we move on from here and make this a better place?

I don't think there's anything we can do right now. There are lots of ignorant and poorly-informed "investors" in the cryptocurrency space, thinking that certain alts are better than bitcoin just because they're faster; and sometimes even go to extreme lengths, calling bitcoin "outdated technology".

What can we do? Wait. Wait till most of these useless and scam alts to die out.

For me, even if the topic is not crypto, there are people who always forgot about that thing. Receiving respect from others is important because it helps us to feel safe and to express ourselves. Being respected by important people in our lives growing up teaches us how to be respectful toward others. Respect means that you accept somebody for who they are, even when they’re different from you or you don’t agree with them. Respect in your relationships builds feelings of trust, safety, and well-being. Respect doesn’t have to come naturally – it is something you learn.

PS: We can actively shove these scam alts by supporting what we really need (for me, BTC hahaha)

If you are a good researcher you will know what is the difference between those projects that are just created to claim money to investors and projects that really want a change in the system. Even if you are not big investor you can still choose the right project by just having a good research. Respect can be earned here if you have proven that you are not one of those projects that just wanted to claim money from investors and run.

That is something very difficult, we do not know what kind of people enter, it can even be a child who has told you all those groceries, it is a social network where anyone gives their opinion without taking into account some kind of range, and if it is in Crypto much more, they can be ruffians and they can be people who are up to DeepWeb.

One of the most incredible things about anonymity results in that kind of thing, that is why, if they mess with you or are rude, the best thing you can do is ignore them, because by ignoring you do not give importance to what they say.

Also not all people are grocery, there are many who enter and express their opinions in a very professional and can give faith that they are people studied. And to start debugging many rules would be needed, as there are in many forums, it is the only way to control it, but while it is a platform where you have many freedoms is difficult to control, what is most sought is that the Opinions are optimized and intelligent so that the level grows much more.

Unfortunately we can't. That's a platform that's free for all kinds of people to use and there will always be those that are rude and disrrsectful regardless of how filtered a forum or discussion is. And since people are pretty much anonymous, they're bound to say anything they want without any considerations.

Compare rates on different exchanges & swap.
You probably new to this space?
Did they call your project sh*tcoin  or humiliated you for not being perfect?lol
I went through similar experience as a newbie... more like a culture shock to me back then.  Almost turned me into a crazy person both online at home but I eventually got used to things, ofcourse with the help of prayers and scriptural encouragements.

Anonymity probably encourages the hostility. Crypto sphere is home of anonymity. Anonymity has its advantages and disadvantages.
Maybe community regulation or grading of certain behaviors may help keep the behaviors out of crypto space  else parents will find the space unsafe/unhealthy for their kids.

It is always important to maintain your cool when you find yourself in diffcult situation. You will eventually get used to things.

One of the key factors in our society is respect and praise. Everybody likes to be praised and accepted. Nobody likes to be criticized. It's just how the society works.

Why do you think Facebook never introduced dislike button?  Because it is not working in the harmony of our society and it would cause resentment.
Only good and positive things are expected and create great atmosphere.

Dissing and disrespecting someone is not working well for the other side and for you in that matter. Nobody got anywhere while disprespecting and discrediting others.

It's just not working in the harmony of our system.

Focus with your own journey and disregard those people who's doing some bad comments towards another, don't take it seriously as there's no use
for that while you are finding success, do your own interpretations and keep moving forward without hesitations.

Well, I am also here in this forum, but i never feel it like you. I see to the members who talk about which coins is better and which coins is not better, but i don't feel that people are doing disrespect to the members.
If anyone said bitcoin is better than all type of coins, so it is true, and if someone said that no bitcoin is not better ETH is best, then it is his opinions, It is not disrespect.

Wait and patience Grin
Nothing we can do to make this a better place, but we could keep to work on the right path and don't make a wrong path.
Respecting other people will be good, but it's hard to do because of there still many people who don't like each other especially the competition of each project in out there.
The crypto community will be united in one vote to support the existence of the cryptocurrency itself, and I am sure that they can do this in the future.

Haters are everywhere, not only in this crypto communities and the only way to avoid them and get rid of them is to not give them attention because that's what they are after. When you interact with them, it means you only feed them because they are happy to see your mad and angry so just let them waste their time talking bad about whatever they want.

Ah well, that's pretty normal on the internet, it happens not just in crypto communities but in general since ppl can easily make accounts that are not tied with their identity. It basically makes them laxer 'cause there's barely any consequence to their actions.

There's a lot of reasons why a lot of ppl act that way, it could be a misconception, trolling, ulterior motives, etc... but there's nothing you can do since ppl can't be controlled, at least not directly. Admins can moderate contents but then again it would subjective as each of them has their own way of doing it, and too much would be plain censorship.

I guess the best thing we could do right now is to find a platform where there is a balanced moderation and learn the skill of ignoring (or blocking[?]).

They are die-hard fans thinking that they know better than most.
Once the hype is over and the dust settles, they will know the true color of the project they are supporting with.
Numerous projects were created and launched claiming to be the next bitcoin or ethereum or beating bitcoin, but where are they now?
Most of them are in the trash bin because their developers are finished extracting money. So they move on to the next...
People should understand what crypto is all about before they say degrading things towards another project.

Yes, this community really needs to respect each and help each other to achieve more goals but happened is opposite. Most of the innovators throw dirt and bullying each other. Well its just business but some throws insults below the belt and it really hurts the community as well.

Insult on the Internet is very common. People feel impunity and can say all sorts of nasty things don't think about the consequences. This is not only in the crypto community. Very few people are really respectful to other people and this is really a problem.
