This can be detrimental to the business and hinder the progress of the state should only oversee the bad things in the use of bitcoin done in money laundering or terrorist financing is not in the same level in the form of business. This may disrupt technological advancements should the state think about the advantages of bitcoin rather than its shortcomings. Cool

That was obvious. If a restaurant accepts bitcoins, but they're prohibited in the country - sooner or later it'll be closed, because it's breaking the laws of the country.

I am very happy if there is a country in which there is a culinary company or a restaurant that receives payments with bitcoin, although in the country prohibits bitcoin.
like in bali, there is a restaurant that receives payment with bitcoin, but a few days ago I watched a show on television that the security forces closed the restaurant.
why are the security so evil? they only use it for food payments, not for criminals. or do they equate bitcoin payments as a crime? it's very unreasonable.
what do you think about it ?

I'm quite shock about this there is no reason to ban or closed the restaurant in bali, And it seems like they ban just by bitcoin, I look to some website or article and I found this look at it. And correct me if I'm wrong though, the link is down below. I hope that it would open again though cause the place of bali is shocking yet beautiful and a unique place to explore.

This is a result of Indonesian government regulations restricting the use of Bitcoins as a means of payment. I see this is a good process, a process to get the public's attention that Bitcoin has been in the country and already in use, soon or later those governments will realize that Bitcoin is not harmful.

I think the government banned it or force to be closed the such place , and my other conclusion is the bad image of bitcoin because as you can see , and we all know bitcoin uses on illegal stuffs so I think they banned it because of that , and lack of knowledge or understanding in btc , its quite sad though I'm planning to visit bali though.

Law is the law, it must be carried out. The Central Bank of Indonesia issued a press release in which bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies can not be considered a legitimate means of payment in the country! As a result, the Bank of Indonesia in conjunction with law enforcement agencies has begun inspecting companies that used bitcoin transactions rather than rupees.

Indonesia is a country with quite difficult policies for bitcoin and cryptocurrency. But I think the ban will only increase the demand of the population and certainly will at some point take the measure to balance this. I can not understand why bitcoin offer so many great advantages in terms of payment and finance that countries still prohibit it. I think that these countries will be outdated by the world if they continue to prohibit such.

I dont think its the security that is bad but more the authorities where the security works for. When i country says trading bitcoin is illegal and you trading bitcoin you know you can walk into problems like this right?

Indonesian government is really afraid regarding this new blockchain technology. They are even releasing official statement and force anyone not to use crypto, especially BTC in a financial transaction.
However, the good news is, several days ago, their President, Jokowi is trying to look for the possibilities around this new technology. So, I guest there are will be some opportunities in Indonesia, so please stop spreading this FUD since the facts is they're *not* banning it. So, some local crypto exchange is still growing and health.

this is all they can do. they can close the restaurant but they can not stop blockchain technology. they can not stop blockchain technology to raise and become the main currency of the future. The governments will bitterly repent in the future because they of their actions against this technology.

I see if the restaurant in bali has violated the rules in the country of Indonesia about the ban bitcoin. the country of Indonesia has issued a statement if bitcoin can not for means of payment directly but bitcoin can be for trading and exchange it with rupiah. so it is reasonable because the restaurant violates the rules that have been set.

Let's make money on bitcoins together? Can someone share their experiences. I'm very interested in listening to others
If you intend to make money with the help of bitcoin, the best option is to join a signature campaign. It won’t ask you any sort of investment. After that, I would like you to diversify your collection of coins and start day trading in altcoins. During this, understand all facts and strategies about trading.

Then shift it to bitcoin trading. That is the most profitable profession on the face of Earth at the present moment.  I hope this is what you were asking. By the way, I told you the path I followed but let just skip my profits.

i think they were closed not only because bitcoin forbidden in indonesia as payment tool because if this is the main cause then all they have to do is only switching payment method from bitcoin to indonesia local currency so in my opinion the cause why they were closed because this restaurant had lack of interest and people does not liked their foods

They closed it because the Indonesian government has implemented a full ban on bitcoin and cryptos. And it says that Bali has been the center of bitcoin exchanges, well it doesn't surprise me because that's a haven for tourist. And they brought bitcoins with them, exchange it to local fiat.

Its really hard to question their intentions. But just like any governments around the world that bans bitcoin, they only look at the bad side of bitcoin (used by criminals). I think that restaurant was closed because of that same (illogical) reason. Really sad to hear it though, but bitcoin is unstoppable. Their will be still trades going underground in Bali or in Indonesia.

Well, it is great that more people are discovering the bitcoin, and it far greater that they actually use it in such projects. Sadly, the government should always follow the flow of money, therefore , all transactions. With bitcoin, which is untraceable, it is impossible to do it. if such projects become allowed, people can see this as an opportunity for money laundering which of course, will  hurt the economy. I am pretty sure that is why they closed it.

I guess they closed the restaurant because bitcoin is not legal in Indonesia. Otherwise they should accept it as a payment method no matter where you use it
