I'd also like to congratulate all winners!
Chapeau!I thank to icopress for his determination in (1) creating this event, (2) reiterating it in the second year, no matter the struggles his country faces and (3) managing to hold the event for the third consecutive year! Those who did not create topics with complex BBCodes have no idea how much it takes just to create the topics he created for the contest. Even to modify them takes a lot...
I thank to everybody which was involved by any mean in organizing the event. I also thank to all which showed their support and asked if we need help. Much appreciated!
I thank to all participants and, as a consolation for those which were not able to participate due to eligibility rules I will say this as encouragement: there is enough time to earn 50 merits until next iteration of the event! Bo good forum contributors and I am sure that many of you will be eligible. One example which just comes in my mind now is the case of
Gladitorcomeback, which had less than 50 merits when he voted (he had 16 merits). Yet, in just two months, when the topic was locked, he managed to earn no less than
62 merits, thus his vote became eligible! See? It's possible!
I also thank to all which came with suggestions and feedback. Their thoughts were very valuable and improved the event from year to year.
I see we have some winners again from the same category as the previous year, maybe we should have an award for two-time bitcointalk award winners
That's an interesting idea. Maybe we can make a nomination for those which succeeded that, like there is a position inside some companies named
Honorary Chairman... Like a sign of recognition.
last year’s award had the most unbiased voting process since three years. Everything went smoothly.
I am very glad to hear that. It means the new (and enforced :p) rules enhanced the process.
I hope we can see some new people in the future because the same names are on there from last years. Maybe a way of not removing votes for these members but only counting 1/2 of a point for each vote? We might get some new members that were runners up and unlucky because of popularity.
There was a debate inside Discussion topic, from

We were also curious about how users feel about implementing a rule which would give chances to more people to win. What we were thinking about is the following: to arrange things thus the winner of a category cannot be the same person from previous contests. Or he can be, as this does not mean a ban -- but he can be with more efforts. To be more precise, all previous winners could start with a coefficient of 0.8. Attention! -- this happens only regarding the previously won category!
For example: Alice won last year in the ScamBuster category.
- For other categories, her vote strength is 1.
- For the ScamBuster category, the power of the votes given for it is 0.8.
If even with this 0.8 vote strength Alice is still this year's winner of ScamBuster category, then she will be declared winner again, no matter what.
This rule, if it'll be adopted, may add some variety. Please let us know your opinions.
The outcome was this:
absolutely all which offered their feedback were against this idea Oo
is this event really going to happen every year?
Hopefully
So far it was held three years in a row
But there was one that made me smile when I saw Foxpup who was selected in the Miss Bitcointalk category. Really interesting.
Why is that?
I can imagine it's a lot of work for team GazetaBitcoin and icopress. They deserve applaud, perhaps some recognition too only because hosting the event and volunteering for it.
Thank you for the kind words. One mention though, you should have phrased "
team icopress and GazetaBitcoin". icopress made the master plan and he recruited me :p
The forum has really become a second family for me
So now you have two families
And, as
BitcoinGirl.Club anticipated, now you have even more kids
I think you had a premonition when you created your account and you wrote the plural of "family"
Congrats for the triple winning!
Wow, 3 second prizes
It instantly reminded me of
Seinfeld Looooooooool! I remember that scene, I laughed like crazy!
Now how am I going to change my personal text?
I think that any choice would suit you well
