JayJuanGee
I think that JayJuanGee, franky1 and nullius are the one person
This is very far from the truth. They cannot be one person. They are different people entirely and can be from different countries.
DannyHamilton is very knowledgeable. He is the type who can confuse you with his technical know-how and the way he explains things. He often writes lengthy walls of texts, but they are posts that are interesting to read.

He can convince and confuse the readers with his technical know-how. I enjoy reading his long wall whenever he does not agree with Franky1 in a particular topic. Whenever I see two of them clash, it will become more interesting to read and most times no one will end up to agree with the other, making you to think how controversial cryptocurrency can be.
I actually like them both, I had many merit sent to both of them and I had meaningful exchange with both.
This is true. You have had meaningful exchange of merits with both, especially JJG. And you also follow up Franky1, whenever he is explaining things in a controversial way, you chose to read alone and give merits  Grin

JAYJUANGEE(WinYoungGhee)

First of all. JJG is not an Unsung hero. He is a real hero of the forum. Many people have tried to be like him before and many will try in the future. Because of his writing style, I have tried to criticize him. Every time I mention him somewhere, I hear his keyboard sound from thousands of miles away. I called him a BOT many times. But, seems he doesn't care about it.

By the way. Where did you get the Title of the JJG? I am talking about WinYoungGhee. Did you get it from my post by any chance?

They don't call him "Jay 'Blob Server' Juan 'Postgress Slayer' Gee" for nothing.

I have Another definition of "JayJuanGee". In my Local Language "JayJuanGee" Means- "WinYoungGhee"  Grin Jay = Win,  Juan = Young, Gee = Ghee, = WinYoungGhee.
I know it doesn't make any sense. But it is what it is. Cheesy

Unsung heroes? Bullshit

In my local area. People don't respect me. Because of my shitty misbehave. I cannot tolerate any bullshit. Don't put bad words in my mouth. Otherwise, you will get fucked up. People know who is bullshit with too much negative trust.

Unsung heroes? Bullshit

That's not how it works. There are permanent DT members here that track the usefulness of each user's posts. And if you are a really useful user, then you are rewarded and praised in statistics. If not, then you are not a useful member of the community.

There is no such thing as unsung heroes. It's more like trying to beg and draw attention to yourself

As soon as I saw JayJuanGee troll here, I understood everything

P.S: And stop calling trolls anti-heroes. Anti-Hero title is a convenient excuse for trolls, scammers and abusers

DannyHamilton is very knowledgeable. He is the type who can confuse you with his technical know-how and the way he explains things. He often writes lengthy walls of texts, but they are posts that are interesting to read.

franky1, on the other hand, writes walls of text that are impossible to read. He doesn't respect anyone's opinion and is only interested in what he has to say. It takes a lot to be banned from posting in certain parts of a forum that is as free as Bitcointalk, and franky1 has managed to do exactly that. I wouldn't classify his as an unsung hero, but as an anti-hero as someone already suggested.

I can't say that I know much about JayJuanGee because we aren't active in the same subs. According to Ninjastic.space data, almost 90% of his posts are in the Speculation board.

Top-200 most active forum posters:

Code:
1. ChartBuddy [708]
2. franky1 [500]
133. JayJuanGee [197]

Franky1 is the second most active poster according to the data collected by Ratimov. Franky1 is the favorite for the anti hero award.
JayJuanGee is number 133 with 197 posts in January. philipma1957 [220] is also a active poster and is 98 on the list. I find it interesting that do not wear signature and are posting to complete sig post requirement but are very active in the forum.

I guess JJG @133 position vastly underestimate his commitment for the forum.
If ever a per character chart were possible, he surely would top that.

I doubt he and franky1 are the same person, for obvious consideration about the time spent on the forum.

I actually like them both, I had many merit sent to both of them and I had meaningful exchange with both.

I voted Franky1 as anti-hero precisely as he said “an anti-hero is not a villain”. And I like having a controversial user (from time to time).

an anti-hero is not the villain
im not a boyscout hero, i dont sit around campfires patting people on the back telling each other comforting stories when they get things wrong. and ill never change, i'll call out BS when needed. to any level. i dont fear giving the harsh truth when needed.

so is there anyone making utopian dream unachievable promises about things that need my harsh wording, anyone that needs to be corrected. any group that appears to be ass kissers that need putting in their place?

i think i need to earn top spot in this category, i dont even want the financial reward, i just like the avatar and want to earn it

Disclaimer: Everything written here is my personal opinion. I may be wrong or I may be right. So it should not be used for any official purpose.

These 3 people are:
Unsung heroes? I don't know how someone would interpret it because I'm sure everyone has a different opinion about them.

The 3 users you mentioned are posters who are very active in educating forum users about bitcoin and other things regardless of whether someone agrees or not. They are not a signature campaign poster so that is something that sets them apart from the rest. Honestly I don't know abount the three users, but I read some of their long posts to increase my knowledge. Something true can be adopted from them but you won't find someone perfect here because someone might still disagree with their opinion.

BTC is not green

Quote
Globally, Bitcoin’s power consumption has dire implications for climate change and achieving the goals of the Paris Accord because it translates into an estimated 22 to 22.9 million metric tons of CO2 emissions each year—equivalent to the CO2 emissions from the energy use of 2.6 to 2.7 billion homes for one year. One study warned that Bitcoin could push global warming beyond 2°C. Another estimated that bitcoin mining in China alone could generate 130 million metric tons of CO2 by 2024. With more mining moving to the U.S. and other countries, however, this amount could grow even larger unless more renewable energy is used.

Bitcoin isn’t getting greener: four environmental myths about cryptocurrency debunked

Myth one: bitcoin mining is becoming more efficient

Bitcoin’s carbon emissions are not the network’s only dirty secret. In 2011, competing miners could win the bitcoin bingo with an average laptop. Today, viable operations require investing in warehouses filled with specialised hardware known as Application Specific Integrated Circuits (ASIC). As the majority of mining costs come from energy to run these units, bitcoin miners are always careful to use the cheapest. To avoid wasting energy, the global arms race for bitcoin requires ASICs to be replaced for newer and more efficient models every year.

ASICs can’t be easily repurposed for general computing. Redundant units create around 11,500 tonnes of hazardous electronic waste each year, much of which is dumped on cities in the global south.

Myth two: bitcoin encourages investment in clean energy

Chinese hydroelectric power plants are popular spots for bitcoin mining. While China cracks down on the industry, 61% of bitcoin mining is powered by fossil fuels.

Cheap coal in Australia has found new buyers through bitcoin, as formerly redundant coal mines are reopened to power mining. Miners are willing to move anywhere for residual energy, increasing the profitability of natural gas in Siberia and supporting oil drilling in Texas.

In Virunga National Park in the Democratic Republic of Congo, bitcoin miners are getting special access to cheap, clean energy produced by an EU-funded hydroelectric plant. The plant was designed to help locals find livelihoods beyond poaching and stop them resorting to scouring parkland for wood fuel. Bitcoin miners employ armies of computer servers, not the ex-combatants the plant could help.

Myth three: bitcoin replaces the need for gold mining

Gold mining is one of the world’s most destructive industries. Bitcoin was originally intended as a digital replacement for gold that was also a deflationary means of exchange, capable of rendering wasteful banks and regulators redundant.

But for many institutional investors, gold is being bought to hedge against bitcoin’s volatility. Tesla poured US$1.5 billion into bitcoin, but also declared an interest in gold. While bitcoin is currently experiencing all-time price highs, gold hit one of its own in 2020.

Nor has bitcoin displaced traditional finance institutions. Major banks are vying to get very rich indeed on the back of it.

Myth four: corporate players will boost market for ‘green bitcoin’

Some argue that institutional investors can turn bitcoin green. Yves Bennaim, the founder of Swiss cryptocurrency think tank 2B4CH, claims that as investors like Tesla push prices up, “there will be more incentive to make investments in renewable sources of energy” for bitcoin mining. But miners will always use the cheapest option to maximise returns. It’s not possible to allocate additional rewards to miners using renewables, because it’s difficult to know exactly which bitcoin miners use renewables.

Unfortunately, there is currently no such thing as a “green bitcoin”.

Not all cryptocurrencies are as energy-intensive as bitcoin, though. There are alternatives to proof-of-work. The second biggest blockchain project, ethereum, is switching to proof-of-stake, a new system which is supposed to remove the need for data miners and perpetual hardware updates.

I have come across the name philipma1957 but I have never taken close look at the account. Then I have never seen or noticed El duderino_ in the forum.
philipma1957 is a very good poster, with the posts I have read about him, I am sure he is a miner, everything he is posting is like what is really happening. I like El duderino_ for his bitcoin giveaway, I think he has done it one or two times, he post most often on Wall Observer BTC/USDT about what is partaining to bitcoin price rise and what is related to bitcoin, also JayJuanGee and philipma1957 post on the thread too.

I am not agree with you. JayJuanGee is a merit-abuser who is ufairly distributing merits to shitposters
With what I have noticed about JayJuanGee, he prefers to be active on a long thread if the thread is active, but he merits good posters on the thread. He is presently active on El Salvador thread bitcoin adoption, with what I have noticed, he posts good and gives merit appropriately.

I think you only want to talk about people that do not join signature campaign, but there are some other members which I will not mention yet because they join signature campaign but they are highly contributing to this forum.
Three of them not wearing signatures was a mere coincidence. Signature is not my criterion here. It was just as if I categorised them. The major factors that made them my first pick is what they have in common:
  • They are old in the forum
  • Their similar typing style (long text)
  • Their logical reasoning
It is correct, we have many iconic members I have already grouped in my bookmark. But I didn't bring them all at once to keep the topic short and also I didn't picture if the community will accept the post or it would turn controversial. I then decided to start with this.

JayJuanGee is a very good member on this forum, he as been active since he joined, since I have known him, he never joined a campaign but very active and distribute merit appropriately. I can say he is a an iconic member on this forum because of his quality activeness.

I know franky1 and DannyHamilton too, both of them are good posters too and post more on development and technical discussion, they are also good. FRANKY1 discuss better also on bitcoin discussion and discuss more about bitcoin.

But maybe you will still discussed further about this iconic members because they are still more, but if to talk of the ones that do not join signature campaign, I have known philipma1957 to also be among them but many people may not know him as he post more in mining, many people do not visit mining boards often, but he post often, he got almost 39000 quality posts on this forum and he has the highest number of posts.

People like El duderino_ are also iconic too.

I think you only want to talk about people that do not join signature campaign, but there are some other members which I will not mention yet because they join signature campaign but they are highly contributing to this forum.

Disclaimer: Everything written here is my personal opinion. I may be wrong or I may be right. So it should not be used for any official purpose.

These 3 people are:

FRANKY1
Registration
Franky1 registered on this forum on 3rd September, 2012.
He does not wear signature of any company, still he contributes daily in the forum. If there is statistics, he should be one of the most active users. From 2012 till date, almost 10 years and he is not tired. I can call him a genuine lover of bitcointalk. I wonder where he draws his motivation.
Trust
As old as he is in the forum, he is not trusted by a single DT member, -3. But he has been tagged for spreading FUD and trolling by Achow101 (2019). He was also tagged by gmaxwell(2018) for dishonesty and anti-bitcoin shilling, could be the reason why he is banned from the technical board. This year BlackHatCoiner tagged him for spreading FUD about Lightening network and he eventually called for Franky1's ban https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/m.58910999
His Strength
  • He is logical, uses real life examples to express his believes or opinions. He is known also for typing a very long wall of text when he wants to prove a point. Franky1 can decide not to be wrong even if he is wrong because he has so many ways to make his opinions stand out, see for long text https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/m.59331440
  • He has the ability to perform even under pressure.  He can stand alone even when the whole world is at the other end https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/m.58919861
  • He is an economist and also a mathematician,  he combines both skills as his unconquered armour

I don't know if he is a merit source. But he recieves merits frequently for his quality works. He does not issue merits always, but when he does, he will definitely change your merit history by issuing 50merits.
My personal opinion about Franky1
He is very intelligent. A verse thinker. I enjoy sleeping in his profile to learn but he is not aware of this. I wish he can reply and tell us his driving principles.

Registration
Danny registered three months earlier than Franky1, on 25th June 2012. 10 years down he is not tired of providing solutions in the technical board. He also does not wear signature yet he is active in the forum.
Trust
He is well trusted +10 by DTs.  He has done a 7btc transaction in this forum (2014). Many trust him for his knowledge, smartest and also for his professional escrow services.
His Strength
  • He is logical, uses real life examples to express his believes or opinions. He is known also for typing a very long wall of text when he wants to prove a point. Danny can be correct and will like to be more correct so that it will be very clear to everyone that he is correct
  • I was thrilled when he used himself, myself and Pooya87 to write a play in order to explain how a pool operator can coordinate with scammer to manipulate a transaction in the blockchain https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/m.58868794
  • He is an analyst and a strategicthinker,  I wish he can sometimes visit Beginners and Help board to help new people with his knowledge
Meriting style
I don't know if he is a merit source. But he recieves merits for his quality works. Just like Franky1 he does not issue out merits frequently but when he does expect them in tens.
My personal opinion about DannyHamilton
He is just like Franky1 but not Franky1. He is so intelligent that he will stop at nothing to convince you about a particular matter. No wonder he agrees and disagrees with Franky1 most cases. I wish he can reply and tell us his driving principles.

JAYJUANGEE(WinYoungGhee)
Registration
Jay came two years after Danny and Franky1. He registered on 17th February, 2014.
8 years down he is not tired. He also does not wear signature of any company, yet he contributes much in the forum.
Trust
He is trusted +4 by DTs.  Vod (2019) said he fights against forum corruption. He is also trusted for the time he spends in the forum giving advice and explanations in a detailed way - Poker player (2021).

His Strength
  • He is a great spectator. No wonder his favourite board is speculation and his favourite thread is Wall Observer
  • Just like Danny and Franky1,  he can type from Ukraine to Russia in order to explain or express himself completely https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/m.59368244
  • Very intelligent and I also believe he is financially intelligent.  Who knows if he works with a finance company in his country
Meriting style
It seems Jay is a merit source because he sends out merit daily. Unlike Franky1 and Danny, he sends just 1 merit to everyone. Unless you are lucky, on his birthday he can issue 3 merits at once 😅. He believes in spreading the merit across everyone.
My personal opinion about JayJuanGee
He is intelligent and has enough knowledge to dish out. But he is also a good listener. He most times listens to what people say and use it to compare to what he has and then give out the best.

I respect three of you, who knows I may make similar review for other deserving members of this forum in the future.

Sorry for a long read.
