However as a passive gambler I need to play a lot so I decided to convert my alts into btc and play but then the fees is a pain in the bum.

the bitcoin transaction fees are not high at all. in fact they are the lowest possible. I just made a 1 satoshi/byte transaction and another with 0.4 satoshi/byte and they both got confirmed within 2 blocks.

He's right, now the transaction costs are so cheap even though bitcoin is experiencing a revival. So you do not have to hesitate to keep playing, but I will not change my altcoin.
I will not think much about gambling, gamblers need high concentration.
If you continue to be in high cost you will not focus on betting and end up losing too.
Its such waste on using up our potential altcoins on playing gambling if we do compare past fees in bitcoin then its not ideal on making use of it but as of now it just really very minimal and do have fast confirmation which is the perfect recipe on playing out gambling actively but still we should know how to play moderately because the faster we can deposit can potentially the faster we do lose up money if luck isnt on our side on that day.

Because of the bitcoin users are finding another way to transaction with using another cryptocurrency, the transaction fees are stable and thats the opportunity for a gambler like us to gamble more efficient.

at the moment bitcoin fees are very less. But it may shoot up once the bitcoin price increases.  I feel Ethereum will be a good choice...

I agree with the people posting above me especially the one with the lower transaction fees. I recently transacted Bitcoin and it was relatively low and transactions fee but I don't know when it still high with gambling houses because I have not been gambling a lot. Well if you have lots of coins to gamble with why not?
If you have lot's of coin why don't you instead trade those coins or spend on goods or just hold on more funds doesn't mean higher bankroll for gambling it means more savings for the future or more ways of investing in other altcoins
Regarding withdrawal fees on gambling site I'm also not sure about other sites but yolodice has a fees of 0.0002 , it is still lot but they did change it when the fees had reduced recently

I don't worry much about the price of bitcoin and alts when i'm gambling because that'll just add more stress to my day. I only start to care for the rates when i'm about to withdraw.

Everyone is right that fees are indeed small but when you play on a casino then after you've made enough money calling it a day and planning to withdraw your bitcoin you'll notice that they are charging fixed fees. On nitrogensports they still charge 0.0005 btc for miner fee which is not okay since the recommended amount is less than that.

And you're complaining about high fees  Huh

what? it's a lot of money and he only pays the fees $1? I hope that in the future, when I have much of bitcoin like him, I want to pay the fee for only $1. I think we don't have to complain about the fee as we can set how much fees that we want to pay and if we want to receive fast confirming, then we need to use more than $1.

If you have some altcoin convert it and hold as Bitcoin might soon surpass $15k mark again if it does you will make over 50% in profit which is might be more than what you could earn by gambling. So just hold your Bitcoin right now rather than lossing it in gambling.
Only if they know all these things, but surprisingly, people will rather look for knowledge elsewhere rather than using their head to think of what is right for them. Trading is always the best way to always earn more and with a very good knowledge, it remains the easiest form.

However, some people still take the gambling world into trading and they end up flopping until they realize the level at which they have been doing it wrong.

OP, if your fingers are been itchy to play at any price, then that means you don't have a gambling limitation. Most times we make the mistake of letting the game to control us instead of we controlling the game. Though, I think the fees are a bit lower now than how it was before but even if its high, its wise you wait till its lower before playing. Considering the fact that gambling is risky; you lossing more before winning.
Grin Itchy fingers can end up turning to burning fingers in the long run. With those that have been in this community for a while now, I believe they should have been able to learn from other people's experience to always learn how to control themselves.

However, in the OP's shoe, I am sure that is not even a problem for him, except for the transaction fees in btc, but you just have to deal with one and get the other, and ordinarily, we cannot always eat our cake and have it.

I am not sure about most of the other online gambling, but for freebitco.in, it has been pretty low, and in fact, annoyingly low Grin … I remember paying as low as 600sats recently for a high transaction. This is a site that even without gambling, I just prefer putting some little bit of funds I may want to transact in there. It saves me a lot in fees even when there is congestion.

In fact, it is a whole lot of question to ask him if he has really been in the system for a while to not have known how ridiculously cheap the fees have been and most especially with segwit transactions such as this one. However, that is a huge amount of money with a very low fee and people are still here complaining about how high the fees are, then I wonder if they have really been making transactions at all.
People always need something to talk about. They want some tasteful discussions that will end for nothing, useless. Like you have said, right now, as the transaction fees are not that much high as before, so people need to understand everything will be good. But that will take time. Nothing is so immediate as to blink an eye. This is such lease given by the developing teams to all users of bitcoins around the globe.

Do you'll think considering the fees and being optimistic about a rally we should hold before we play, or continue going forward without being bothered, my fingers are itching to play at any rates.
So what are the other gamblers feeling, itchy or taking a break.
What fees are you taking about, the transaction charges for bitcoin have come down a lot and you are able to send the coins for less than a dollar but some exchanges and sites have not reduced the fees like that and i am sure they will do that in the future,if you think that the price of bitcoin could rally,it is your choice to gamble with it for not.

It's been nothing less than a roller coaster for the crypto market from highs to low and back to the 10k mark we have seen it all. Now I'm anticipating a good rally coming in the crypto market hence I'm holding back play later on.

good for covering all your altcoin to bitcoin. I feel it too. but from the beginning the price increase then fell and until now I continue to gamble without thinking about the cost and bitcoin price, because if we keep thinking so we will continue to be disturbed for my gambling.
If you want to play long games, then you need to plan your bitcoin purchases in the right way. Although bitcoin prices may change rapidly in just one day, it is important to remember that your strategy is not to trade or trade cryptocurrencies daily. Just because you see the price drop does not mean that you should automatically place a new buy order on the exchange exchange. If you are going to place a bitcoin purchase for long-term speculation, then you should place your order in regular intervals.

The price should not really be a problem if you just convert fiat to crypto then play then just cash out and convert back to fiat, that would not need to take into account the price of crypto. But that's really an expensive way to gamble, however there are a lot of gamblers that don't really care about the price of crypto and they just compute everything in the crypto they are using. So if you say you want to gamble 1 BTC per session and you grow or lose it then you just only look at it at the amount of crypto you are holding.
Yeah, sometimes there are people like that no matter how much they cover the transaction fee as long as they can play in gambling.
But that's a good idea covered the transaction fees of your altcoins to the bitcoin, this strategy will lessen you fee during transaction either withdrawal of deposit fee. But those who really want to gamble they never mind that.
Gambling with altcoins and bitcoins, no other big mistake it would be from any sensible person who is living on this planet earth. I am much depressed and wonder why people are so much blind that they don’t see how amazing and golden these coins are, so hard to buy, still this foolish lobby is buying and gambling with them. Losing them after a game and then regretting on it.

I actually don't like the idea of converting your alt coin into bitcoin especially of it intends for gambling purposes because I believe time will come those alts will appreciate the same way bitcoin did. When I gamble I see to it I have enough capital out of my investment and not sacrificing those long term one. I am always optimistic with bitcoin as well as alts.

we're already talking about high fees of bitcoin several times ago while bitcoin price was very high but today bitcoin fees was pretty cheap and speed of confirmations for every transactions was increase too so i think although if someday bitcoin price will reach to all time high again but the fees still low such as now then people still use bitcoin to gamble rather than their altcoins

Just holy shit. LOL.

That is a lot of bitcoins! Damn. Don't even know what to do with my life with that much money. Funny to see though that this got through with just 0.0001 BTC as fees, guess the problem with the memory pool is disappearing.
Don’t find shit in it, go and trade with this big money that you have. Trade or invest it in any asset that can help you to provide some output in form of money or anything else. Don’t waste it in useless things like gambling and betting rather find some innovation or business idea that can be implemented using this money and ultimate results are positive in your account. Be attentive and wise for your future.

I reckon he could have even spent less, 5 sats per byte usually gets through the next block as well.
Good to see that more and more people are using Segwit, it really saves you a lot in transaction fees and more services are starting to support it.

Let's hope it stays this way as the transaction volume increases again.
