ICO doing something good is not going to change the price of Ether. they are built on top of the platform but are somewhat separate. the only way an ICO has an effect on ether price is when they are accepting investors because people can only participate with ETH tokens and then afterwards it will have another effect as the ICO owner dumps those tokens.

When people said that ETH and ETC are going to have the same price (and even ETC surpassing ETH) I never expected ETH to come crashing down to ETC current price

Many ICOS are sprouting from the ETHEREUM platform so I doubt ETH will die any time soon. Maybe in the future other platforms like Ardor or Stratis might take some of the market share of businesses wanting to do ICOS but it will not die any time soon I do not think.

It doesn't really matter what you say about ether because for now ether has also got same popularity as bitcoin or lite coin do. Moreover, most of the ICO companies rely on ERC20 standard and it adds more value to ethereum as compared to other currencies. It has got all the reasons to stay up.
Luckily I didn't invest some of my money to eth.Yes I know that eth is better than bitcoin but I am a certified bitcoin user and investor.I feel sorry for those who invested some of their money and lost it in just a sweep. 
It's unfortunate but I guess volatility is part of the crypto space. No crypto is 100% safe, it's all purely speculative and there's always a chance prices can drop even 50-60% no matter how good the coin/system is.

I don't believe that to be true.
Some companies are studying the ethereum protocol with a view to making their own tokens. The plan is to use their own, improved and no doubt proprietary, technology at some point in the future.
None that I know has expressed any intention of being associated in any way with the ETH token.
