Free publicizing I presume. He can do whatever he satisfies, yet that does not imply that he has harmed Bitcoin, indeed, he's assisting with the eye to the individuals who do not know Bitcoin. In spite of the very fact that China controls the tons of provisions, that does not mean it'll remain intrinsically . there's a chart online that shows the developing extension of bitcoin supply far and wide after a while .

They give this guy 21 mins of airtime, and he basically says that China "controls" the Bitcoin blockchain. Some other gems in there too.

He is the CEO of Ripple and one of his job requirements is to criticize his biggest competitor, unfortunately, his only competitor is Bitcoin.

Although there is no comparison between Bitcoin and Ripple, still he is trying to make his point by convincing them that Bitcoin is controlled by the Chinese.

Mainstream media has been against Bitcoin from the beginning and this interview shows their new tactics.

XRP is a joke cryptocurrency. They literally print money.

Ripple is not a real cryptocurrency in my opinion. It's a token, or like frequent flyer points from the airlines. Real cryptocurrencies are closely associated with decentralization, and permissionlessness.

This is more like a competition between bitcoin and ripple. This is how I perceive it from the view of the ripples CEO but bitcoin can't be pulled down just with trying to link bitcoin blockchain solely to China. People already know bitcoin is decentralized.

They're not competing. Ripple is a permissioned/centralized network/ledger for banks, Bitcoin is a permissionless/decentralized, censorship-resistant cryptocurrency for everyone. Cool

No support from the community, yet they get over 20 minutes on CNN. Did Ripple have systematic support from the start or are they simply good at reaching out to the big banks with their BS?

who said they dont have a support from a comunity . course they are mate but not as good as btc and other good coins  . ripple is still a good coin so they still attract some supporters   .  ripple is backed by banks as what ive heard so yep your right with your last sentence  . what i only  dont like is when he say that china controls bitcoin blockchain  , no one controlls it but if he mean the blockchain wallet then yes it is created by some team  and they control and operate it  .

Money. If you still do not know Ripple, let me introduce it to you. A few guys premine billions. And release it (aka dump it) whenever they want. The courts even already ruled against them,,, to limit their dumping.

Research also shows on Reddit and Twitter there is a huge XRP bot army just shilling every day. You think this does not cost money?

Money buys their fame. Do not fall for it.

true , theres no point of inform that bitcoin being centralized in terms of hash power to One Country. They can do it since they have the power and source to do it. While XRP just doing propaganda many years but still no happening from their latest BS which already felt by many late investors.

This basically has been the mentality of most of the people. They feel like china has most population and they might be ones who are mining most of the bitcoins and hence they are deeply rooted with bitcoins but this actually is not true. Bitcoins being decentralized does not give any authority the power to control them.

It is we (each holder) who might control bitcoins rather than just one country. This guy was trying to make XRP more dominant than Bitcoins which indeed would never be possible. XRP is just another corporate coins but how could they compare it with bitcoins? According to me, XRP is nothing in front of bitcoins and hence btc should be given vast importance.

Watch the part where she asked him if it's securities or going to be classified as such. He couldn't even answer a simple question with yes or no. All he said is  exactly what you hear from used car salesmen. They talk about the question, derail it and never answer straight. "we are going to be working with the US regulators..." what does that even mean? Probably that he doesn't know and also doesn't want to spook his cash cows.

I have come to learn that a lot of people thinks that China controls bitcoin because majority of the mining farms are in China. I really don’t believe that to be true. Bitcoin is not controlled by any country. The thing there is that China was too fast in adopting bitcoin and that’s why here are lots of mining farms there. If their government was into bitcoin then they wouldn’t have banned bitcoin in their country. The only thing that they couldn’t ban was bitcoin mining because there is no law there that states that mining of bitcoin is illegal.

So, they have decided to allow people to mine bitcoin. There are still lots of other countries that have strong mining farms and even if China drops out I believe that these other ones can definitely pick up.
The cost of hardware is comparatively much lower in china as compared to any other country and this might be a major benefit for the citizens of china to start bitcoin mining in minimum capital and fetch good returns. China is a producer of most of the graphic cards and computer peripherals and hence they do have a lot of tools to start their mining farms with.

Moreover, their own country producing the hardware miners does not even make them pay the import taxes which makes is more cheaper for them to buy some miners and start their own mining farm. This might be the reason why china has most number of mining farms. They might even get 100% ROI in 2 to 3 months so why would they not enlarge their mining farm?

I guess it's probably not a paid exposure by the CEP of Ripple, as the media company could really create a conversation about this topic, and probably to increase the awareness of people that blockchain and bitcoin dominance is strong in China which indeed for me, is a complete information manipulation to control people.

On the other hand, if this is a paid exposure, I am certain that the CEO of ripple does really have an intention to attack bitcoin in some sense.

The lady keeps nodding her head. I just really hope she did understood it all.  Grin
Yet he owns bitcoin?!  Cheesy
Conclusion: So if you are a CEO of one of the top centralized coins in crypto currencies you get to be interviewed by a large media company.
How much did he pay for this? I bet it will be huge chunk of his savings.
Maybe he could sell his bitcoin now to pay for them. Good part is he will keep his (C)Ripple.  Cheesy

PS: Sorry I don't have sMerits anymore. Would love to share some for the effort.

Look look who's talking about controlling the coin  Grin .
Ripple has been releasing new coins out of thin air for a long time now. This basically proves they are the ones who are controlling their platform.
Bitcoin is decentralized with limited supply and hence, it's way better than XRP.

And don't forget about theprofits they are taking from it. The whole Ripple foundation and their board of directors is earning millions of dollars by dumpingtheir shitcoin on the market.
They were promissing people deals with banks, XRP being accepted as a value transfer coin of centralized fiat banking. It was to allow banks to use the benefits of cheap crypto transactions without the anarchistic views of decentralized crypto.
Years later - nothing. No deals, no banks using it and the price at 10% of what it used to be Wink

It's pretty obvious that he's trying to shill his shitcoin to the masses but one thing for sure is that his coin will never beat Bitcoin. It's pretty ironic that they guy trying to trash bitcoin actually owns some coins  Grin

The CNN chaps are of course all about money, so i would be surprised if he never spent a single cent to get all those minutes of Airtime.
I agree with those seeing it as a positive thing for Bitcoin. IMO this move by the CEO signifies Ripple's agony. Ripple was an ambitious project, seemingly it was not supposed to face the challenges Bitcoin did. I mean, Bitcoin is a threat to banks, it's decentralized and has limited supply. Ripple embraces working with banks and authorities, it is centralized and pretty much like fiat in terms of its supply, right? Despite of all that, turns out banks aren't eager to collaborate, and Ripple suffered a huge loss with its price dropping 10 times, basically.

nothings new?this has been same attack they are using since then, that Chinese  has a majority control of Bitcoin but yet what does Chinese stands for Bitcoin?
and Giving "full 21 minutes" of airtime?for what?just for this?they are just proving the desperation of making Bitcoin has negative feedbacks to the people but even how hard they try achieving nothing because people now are mature to believe such accusation while they are promoting their own currencies.

Lmao, Brad Garlinghouse is a joke, they dump XRP on OTC desks and cause investors to lose money, but then say that Bitcoin is controlled by a foreign entity?

Brah, XRP is 100% centralized and controlled by Ripple.

If XRP is only supposed to be used to provide liquidity to banks and other financial institutions, then why the F is it trading on public exchanges?

There is no excuse to dump XRP in the way they have, such huge chunks at once with a discount too.

STOP HURTING THE COMMUNITY BRAD YOU BASTARD.

This is good for bitcoin
Bitcoin is on CNN,  for free

New people are now going to search about it on google.

I think "all publicity is good publicity" isn't true for every case, and Bitcoin might seriously lack good publicity in the eyes of regular people - think about it, they usually hear about Bitcoin when something bad happens - the market crashes, it being demanded to pay a ransom, darknet markets and so on. Now we have shitcoiners spreading FUD against BTC on mainstream television.

One of the most popular transaction today is with the use of bitcoin and according to the previous news that the china already supports the use of bitcoin and most of the population of the people in the china are using crypto currency, and one of the sources of mining of bitcoin is in China. Because of the popularity, it gains many people all around the world, getting more curious about what crypto is all about and how do the people make more earning because of that investment and trading that contributes to the blockchain.

One of the most popular to the bitcoin is on its use because some of the people before it is just for the black market but now we are using this for sending funds because it is more faster and at the same time has a less transaction fee.
