Ripple has passed Ethereum and with ease. Just the market cap alone shows how powerful Ripple can be. Its only a matter of time to see the market value of Ripple and Bitcoin quite close to eachother.
Ripple is officially the 2nd best coin in the market, its market value is higher than ever but i believe it won't stop there. Time will tell how far Ripple can go.

Whoa there I'm pretty sure XRP wont surpass Eth . Ripple has a long way to go before that happens. Although I don't think Ripple will outdo Eth I do think it's a great investment for crypto portfolios.

Ripple is good currency and the price stay in 0.15-0.2$ for really long time. Then Ripple price suddenly grow to 2$ in less than a month, i think this growth is not stable and can push Ripple price back to 0.5-1$ anytime.
altcoins altcoins so many different altcoin as many investors have here and many buy in this coin, so the ripple does not increase when no one else is investing it.
It passed Ether on marketcap but not on value. I still believe it will go cross in the value of 5$ soon but still Ether is the queen to Bitcoin.

even if you said it is not a reliable ranking but it still gives joy to all xrp holders because it sounds like there are many investor invested on it and good sign to rise its value. So I think to those xrp holder much better to hold it until it rises to its highest.A big profit in the future.

If you think of XRP as a crypto - it's not of course, but as a coin to trade, for me it was very profitable last year. So, I don't understand... whenever you can hold or trade and get profit - nothing else matters)
Ripple has passed Ethereum to occupy the number 2 spot in overall market cap, it has been in the top 5 for some time probably largely helped by the large quantities of the supply. I think it will continue to grow in value especially as its primary use is with the Banking industry for money transfers. 2018 is likely to be another year of growth for XRP.
Ethereum market cap is very close to ripple today. There is only 4 billion USD difference. I think ethereum will be again #2 soon in coinmarketcap. But we all witnessed that high p&d potential of xrp once again 
It looks crazy when ethereum and ripple were pumping at the same time. even the marketcap of ethereum close to the ripple and then the community gives a reaction to pump ripple to another level again and we will see the bitcoin dominance will be less and less anytime. It looks difficult if this scenario will still run.

Ripple Altcoin was in the great performance last days, but it is time for ripple to have a rest, and btc and eth will begin its performance.
Haha you didn't buy in and your upset at that? I had a bunch of Ripple at 20 cents and sold at a slight loss at about 18 cents. It would have been a sick ride up for me had I held, goes to show the power of holding.
I was in this position too and I really gave up on XRP. I do not regret it anyway as I only wanted to trade it anyway and have some few profits on it as it seems a project that I have never been comfortable with. Nevertheless, it is always good to hold anyway most especially for a coin that you believe in and probably that could have been a reason I failed to hold XRP anyway. 
I don't understand how a coin with a huge number issue can have such a high price. 
Six months ago I wanted to buy ripple but changed my mind due to public opinion. Unfortunately I could't assess its potential. Now I do not want to buy becouse Ripple has reached its limit.

I kind help but agree that Ripple is close to or not already at its limit in terms of price. Whereas I feel ethereum can grow much more. Ripple being in second place will be short-lived in my opinion and we will soon see ethereum reclaim this place, 1k ethereum will surely happen before long.
