There is risk attached to every investment and not crypto alone. Have this first in mind and remember that the crypto market is volatile as it is influenced by a lot of factors majority coming from the actors on the market and governments.
The highest risk attached to crypto is to enter crypto investment without any knowledge on cryptocurrency or how its market operate. You can end up throwing your money to a worthless coin.

The biggest risk point in crypto currency is that you will get stuck with no liquidity.

What this means is that you can get stuck with a coin that you literally can not sell for anything or even less than one cent.
A lot of the crypto market value has been built on speculation and created a bubble economy.
That has popped and this entire year we have seen the market struggle.

If you end up putting a vast majority of your investment in a coin that is valued because of hype or speculation, the value of that coin can crash hard and fast.
So fast in fact, that it can get to the point where you can't even sell it to make back little money.

The entire market isn't over, we have got more bull runs ahead of us.
As the market takes off (which will happen eventually) you have to be very careful with the coins you choose.
You also have to be willing to let it go and sell it when you meet your financial goals instead of holding on to it forever wishing to become a millionare.

Risks are abound everywhere in cryptocurrency. You can not totally eliminate such risks, but minimizing the risks is very possible. Your first step to minimizing the risks is by protecting your crypto wallets the same way you may protect your life.

Go watch youtube videos and check out those people who lost a lot from investing in cryptocurrency, you should only invest what you can afford to lose, many made the big mistakes of investing their retirement earnings, thinking that they can made two or three times profit from buying altcoins and participating in ICO.
