I think we are derailing this thread from the original discussion and it's enough on the security matter and those scams pretending to be some celebrity to scam you of funds and focus on Rollbit related discussion for which the thread is intended for and continue it some other time on other board if we are interested in this discussion. So let's focus on Rollbit now to see the new updates and games discussion.

This is what attracts most of the people and scammers find it easy way to scam people but they need to realise some of them don't have links with crypto even so why would they be involved in these kind of giveaways but greed is the what takes them into these scams and at last they loose their funds as well.

Yeah you certainly need to join and follow the official twitter account of team on twitter to follow any updates as there might be scammers trying to impersonate themselves as real team but the actual risk will arise if they ask you to click on some links or ask to connect wallet in any case so be sure to avoid such things as much you can for fund safety and participate in these contest with fun manner.
There are many funny people who end up with something like acting as if they are Elon Musk, or Jeff Bezos or whoever under the tweets with "we are giving away free ETH" and make you click phishing links. The same happens for companies too, they end up with putting links under the replies of rollbit and they may try to trick you as well.

So it is a lot better if you end up being more careful, if you are careful enough then they will not be a problem, but that doesn't mean that it would really is fine, it’s a terrible thing but it works well for them and it shouldn't really be a big deal at all, it’s going to be something annoying at worst.

the sad part of it all is that people fall for these scams because they are greedy, for example the person arrives on twitter and sees an ad saying: "elon musk is making a donation, send 0.01 BTC to this address: xxxxxxxxx and you will receive 0.05 BTC " . if it's a donation, why the hell would the person have to send bitcoin? it doesn't make sense, that's the first question people have to ask before falling for these scams and then they have to ask themselves: why would a billionaire say he's making donations and ask for money for people to receive the donations? it makes no sense. I don't understand how people still fall for this kind of scam.

What happens is that when observing that in a twitter the official account of a celebrity usually attracts the attention of any person, and if he sees that it is associated with money, he will not hesitate to participate and if one of their famous offers to do something to In exchange for a lot of money, some people will not hesitate to do so, but it is for lack of being a little more incredulous, a person who really sees that a very large thing hardly has to pay much attention to it, because someone always gives something away it is very rare, very strange and that many things can be taken as false, this is very common, to earn something you must do many things or work hard at it.

It is usually better to ask for support from the staff, but then also write to their social media and here to get attention, I do not support that because it creates a lot of workload for the people who are already looking into the problem, there is no reason to pressure them like that, but at the end of the day there is a reasonable approach if you are not getting responses fast enough, that added pressure will make sure that you would get your responses quicker.

Just don't do it after a few hours, because that’s normal, if you don't hear from anyone over 48 hours, you could start writing here and on social media to make it faster and quicker response.
They usually have setup social media for updates and promotions to the audience but yes you can still try to contact them through this way also but it will be directed towards support to open up a ticket and then issue will be resolved. They take 24-48 hours atleast if withdrawal issue is there or more in some cases also but if not responding they can definitely share it here to help them out of the problem.
That's the idea, if there are no answers after 48 hours, you could also put your ticket number to social media to get attention, or write here to get attention but you should always do that after waiting for 48 hours because it may take that long. There is a 99.99% chance it will get a response in under 48 hours for sure, I once got it after 7 minutes, that was a record pace to be fair Cheesy.

I mean who responds after 7 minutes, I legit thought it was just confirmation like "we received your ticket" type of mail, turns out it was the response. But if by some miracle something happens and they don't respond after 48 hours? Twitter and bitcointalk will make sure you get it.
If there are many probabilities that they respond, I don't think they will reach 48 hours, it seems too long to me, unless it is a very difficult problem to escalate and the person who has to answer it has to do many things to be able to do it, Rollbit has characterized by being a very good casino, and it will have immediate attention, I also think that many questions have been made to the support about the NFTs that they have launched that are very successful and that they have a lot to offer, I particularly feel that this is one of the ways that we have to trust NFTs again, and if so, then it is worth being able to do so, for this reason the support must be as fast as possible.

There are many such instances and can't understand how people believe in them that Elon musk is giving away free coins to some lucky holders and even ask them to deposit some coins in first hand to get more from him and it seems to funny and stupid who fall in this trap but you should always check everything you see on internet as you know hackers these days are very smart to fool you so be sure to follow legit sources only.
Unfortunately, there are a lot of people who do, last time I checked there was a guy who made 200k+ dollars from one of the examples, he kept on putting it under vitalik's tweets for example and they just got fooled about it.

So when you are checking rollbit, maybe it’s not as common as Elon or vitalik, but you will 100% see someone trying to put something like "rillbit" or "rollbitt" or whatever close they can get as domain, as we all know not all ones are available but they will end up with finding something as close as possible and try to trick you, it’s better to not click on any link you see on twitter, just to make sure you do not get fooled.
Not with this one as if you search for Rollbit on twitter you would found the original account only with verified mark although there might be different accounts in the name of Rollbit from which you should be aware of and not click on the links provided by them for your safety.Don't get fooled under anyone's name.
Surprisingly it is really still can be seen nowadays about those site name urls or any services which do really make look a like or completely the same when you dont really pay up that attention and this is where

people do really end up on getting scammed or really end up on getting mistakes on sending out their funds and believing that they are dealing with the right site which it isnt really that right
if you do tend to make a second check.
So we should really be that careful and always double check yet it doesnt really consume up too much time. Grin
The impact of scamming has increased a lot these days. They create copy by following different sites and bring that phishing site to customers in different ways. Scammers gain access to steal the user's assets when he or she logs into the site, often without realizing it. In this case there is no other way out of this situation except awareness of the users.
Yes, its phishing and its a very common way on hacking someones account since they do able to get those information and its true that it would be totally be depending on someones awareness on how he would be

dealing up with these things once they do able to encounter it.Common sense and self awareness isnt something that hard for you to apply with not only on this matter but in all
things that you would really be experiencing in life.
Make another check when you are in doubt. Its really impossible that you would really be making direct actions if you do see somethings suspicious.
Well the old tricks are not something that one can get away with, any system is strong enough to detect it, in the case of us as players, if we have to be careful, we must always verify that it is the correct URL, it has been a good time , regarding the whole issue of phishing, a user of the forum had put, that in order not to suffer from any problem of this style, he had the URLs of each casino site, and of exchanges in a .txt file and that there the only thing that does is copy and paste, which is the safest way to enter, you just have to open the tx and search for the site you want and that's it.
Unfortunately, there are a lot of people who do, last time I checked there was a guy who made 200k+ dollars from one of the examples, he kept on putting it under vitalik's tweets for example and they just got fooled about it.

Yeah there were many cases of these scams where they portray themselves as real account or even hack the original account and then make these tweets to scam people. From casino point also they can post fake links giving away hundred of dollars and ask you to click on the links which can be phissing attempts. So yes it's important to check for the original site and don't fall for greed with these giveaways.
I remember there was a moment when someone found a weakness in twitter and they ended up portraying all the rich people and tweeted out of their accounts, jeff bezos, elon musk, bill gates, cz, vitalik, all of their accounts were hacked and someone put an address to it and started a rumor that they were giving out their money.

First of all, how would anyone believe that these rich people would give out money, they didn't become this rich by just giving money to random people, sure maybe donate to charities that's fine, but not giving out to random strangers. Secondly, that dude got away with hundreds of thousands of dollars in mater of an hour, because people believed it for some reason. Be careful when clicking on any link.

Well, it has already been shown that on many occasions people who have hacked into large accounts, specifically those of celebrities, and the most incredible thing is that sometimes they make them believe that it is them and that they actually tell them to deposit a money in a wallet. amount in BTC and then they make a monumental amount in BTC to those deposit wallets, it is incredible what they can do and the masses that celebrities move, the bad thing is that I do not understand how people fall for it, and the most important it is that they are people with so much money that they allow themselves to be deceived, it is something even painful, and they are people with a lot of money.

The scammers are finding new ways to fool people because they have seen lot of people entering into this crypto space and many don't have full knowledge about the market working of which they took advantage of and hack you of funds from your wallets but you don't need to give them any chance like this and read some threads on how to be safe from it.

But the problem is they can't gain access without our negligence as we click on some fake links or giving them access our account but at this we are talking about some hackers who try to take advantage of these situations and make you prey through these false accounts pretending to be original from which you need to be safe and there's only one account of Rollbit and I have not heard any scamming case on their site.
Yes there's a negligence in your part if you fell victim of these phishing sites. It's quite common and a way of scammers to get potential victim, hence we should be aware of these tactics to prevent ourselves becoming a victim. Always verify if the site or the account that you're dealing with is the legitimate one and not fake.

Some people didn't do any precautions upon dealing something or someone online that's why some of them easily believe when there's some message, mails or anything which they think legit coming from the platform they are playing on. Maybe its good practice for anyone to verify always what they are seeing since they should remember that if they get scam there money will never return to them so proper checking is what we need to avoid scamming issue that we might encounter.

Not with this one as if you search for Rollbit on twitter you would found the original account only with verified mark although there might be different accounts in the name of Rollbit from which you should be aware of and not click on the links provided by them for your safety.Don't get fooled under anyone's name.

The power of famous people makes fraudsters do this and in the online world there are many people who are less knowledgeable or lazy to verify first before participating in the such event like giveaway or airdrops because for them the focus is only on money.
BTW, does anyone keep staking RLB to enter the Lottery?
Quite curious if any of the members in this forum have ever won the prize even in a small amount
