"Bitcoin Unlimited" and "Bitcoin ABC" as their trademarks? Mike Hearn and Gavin Andresen in the "extended debate"? Another person claims to be Satoshi Nakamoto.

Only Satoshi has access. They want just a better paypal, where the fee still goes to a centralized figure. Kua Maria also claims ownership of many domain names associated with the BCH. How about your Ronald Keala Kua Maria?

It is becoming like the story of "Grand Duchess Anastasia Nikolaevna of Russia". Dont these guys have anything else to do apart from impersonating Satoshi Nakamoto.?
Also Trademark war and domain wars are getting serious these days.

If satoshi wanted his/her personality to be revealed then the very moment that he created blockchain,i see no reason why needed to hide for this long and will claimed after 10 years,no logic at all.this is a sure craziness that dont deserved attention

Satoshi Nakamoto has faked and scammed so many people with various tricks, you should be careful with this name.

Wants to charge 2% royalties for transactions over $800
He is asking for "voluntary" royalties.
Because I suspect that as soon as he demands money they can potentially charge him with fraud.

The creative commons would override his copyright registration if he tried to enforce it.

Trademarking Bitcoin Cash would effectively not affect Bitcoin but would affect Bitcoin Cash or Bcash as some people prefer to call it.

The real Satoshi would know that someone else designed the artwork and that the code was a collaborative effort with other developers.

If it were a credible claim (which it is not) then Ronald defrauded everyone who worked on it for free.

In my opinion his claims are so blatantly false and so unlike Satoshi. He is denigrating and maligning the character of Satoshi.

Qualities that I believe describes the real Satoshi would be: Calm, honest, humble, intelligent, dedicated, private and altruistic.

So far everyone who has claimed to be Satoshi is a fraud.
Satoshi doesn't want to be found.
He is too smart and has nothing to gain and everything to lose.
If you read Satoshis posts and letters he values privacy over money.
Why would he go through all the OpSec to reveal himself ?
Why would he be altruistic and then suddenly want to be greedy ?

Even a fake Satoshi can profit from that. He can claim to be an "alt"

Trademark Bitcoin cash applied for May 18, 2018 so new news.

The 2 year old copyright registration is less relevant. Copyright is lodged and not inspected. Trademarks are examined and if granted are hard to challenge.

If Bitcoin will grow, one day he can earn some profit, but most possible it is just wasted money. From crypto it is very hard to imagine the brand name, which can earn some money on T shirts etc.

It's not going to affect Bitcoin because no one will take it seriously. No one will believe any claim without solid evidence, considering what's at stake. His life will be altered somewhat because no one will take him seriously anymore. I'm not sure how it will affect his family, but I'm guessing some of them feel a little shame for him lol.

People would not claim to be Satoshi Nakamoto, if they knew what shitstorm is waiting for them. When the real Satoshi Nakamoto are identified, it would be one of the biggest media circus that we would see, next to the Lady Di death in Paris.

Every law enforcement agency in the world are hunting for him and would be on his doorstep to arrest him or her for some trumped up charges. They will also try to get their hands on the 1 000 000+ bitcoins that Satoshi owns.

If hes really satoshi nakamoto,theres no need to wait for conviction regarding fraud before claiming to be the man,since this name has been on the whole forum for how many years,this has been in deep search since all of us wanna know for whom we will dedicate the thankful feelings from the beneficiaries of hes legacy

Even people who are more credible than him.in terms of character have tried to lay claim to elthings related to crypto and more importantly claim to be Satoshi but it still didn't fly. What I see here is someone trying to get attention because how can you lay claim to an open source software that does not have anything to do with you in the first place couple with ridiculous claim of wanting a cut out of $800 and above transaction.

Everyone loves a conspiracy theory!  That is why it is in the news!  I think that it is fascinating, there is a guy out there with control of 1,000,000 BTC

I'm sure that quite a few governments around the world want to know who he is.  Imagine the spectacle if  someone could actually prove they were in possession of a Million BTC

i wonder why people ar bringing up old out of date crap that does not affect the code.
usually this occurs as a distraction from something that does matter that people dont want people talking about..

CW is a fraud and not even a coder. so have no clue why people even talk about him. but every time there is a big consensus conference or some new bip that core wants to be trojaned in.. social drama about things unrelated to new code is brought up to distract the community.

all i can guess is that people have lost desire for the CW social distraction and now a new foe has to emerge as the distraction.....

As far as i know this trademark is connect with bitcoin cash. That’s why they register this project. Now wait and see what will happen.

I can only wonder how long this has to go on? Why all these guys want to claim Satoshi Nakamoto as their pseudoname? What actually would happen when the actual Satoshi surface? So much confusion really going on here.
