It is indeed easier to join in hand drawing because there is no fee or qualification to get admitted to the contest. A person can just draw and take a picture of his art. The question would be, is the person who is mediocre in hand drawing can win? Unlike with digital art, a person must know how to use apps that enable him to draw, he also need a gadget for drawing and many more. So in a digital art contest, aside from having the skill in drawing, the person also need the skill to use the application and gadget in producing digital art. It is more complex than just the hand drawing.

The more complex it is the more better the outcome or results which is far more beautiful than on hand drawing which it is understandable but its good that they do gave out that kind of category winners on which
if you do really put side by side a handrawing and something that been made by some software or application then difference is big. Its a non fair i would say and this is why they do make out adjustments
according into choosing basing on category.

This is why we do really call that "SKILL" which it is really that normal for a competition to have. The better skilled the more chances of winning than to those who are mediocre but doesnt mean that this isnt for everyone. You could freely join but dont expect nor really that optimistic that you would get the winner spot considering that there are lots of talented artists here on this forum then competition is really that high.
You can join but you would really be having that feeling of being overwhelmed on the time you would see others entries. Grin

This could be the easy option but of course this is a competition and you should do your best if you really want to win as you need to be more creative and be more unique compare to the others. There’s a lot of talented participants in the art contest, and they really pick a good category on where they can excel, and if you think hand drawn is the best for you then go for it and make the best out of it.

I think participants can already do this by submitting the art under the animation category. If to be clearer then one can expect a YouTube video competition in which users would be making shorts about Roobet, and their world! That can also be done by most of the users and it wouldn't be called an artwork competition but more or less YouTube Shorts competition.

This can also do a good amount of publicity for @Roobet while spreading the word over YT and we will get to see amazing competition with creative YT makers from the forum.

So this should be more or less short animations, a video with Roobet's message to the world or maybe revealing logo etc. Sounds good.

they can, but short films usually take much more work than small animations
something like this could be weeks in the making...
if there's a bigger prize and if it's specific people may put up more effort to join

When many users submit good quality creative artworks in the content, the more contestants may get the share from the contest's prize pool. The current contest is also offering $5000 and I'm pretty sure that there will be many good artworks in the contest. Let's hope we'll get a chance to win if our artworks meet the requirements.

I think it's obvious that they are trying to keep as many people happy as possible and that's a good neat little trick that they are pulling. That way people would feel like they are doing fine and that's why it's not really a terrible idea. I know that people will act as if there is a problem with not winning single handedly, or this is just a marketing trick and shouldn't be done and all that, but the reality is that the solution that makes the most people happy is this one and I believe that it should be quite great that we are having this type of problems and would consider it as doable.

This is why I think it's quite important that if we can get it as further as we possibly could, then it will certainly be possible to make it happen.

They have been running their signature campaign on forum for more then 3 years and hosting lot of events out of which art contest have been constant one's like there is one currently ongoing with meta based theme.Talking about Twitter they have good engagement and frankly saying they will post majority of update there and on forum as well and Twitter is to have community set-up and for promotions.
