Making a global rank/activity/merit amount reset will be a nice joke. Imagine that you cant really tell who is newbie and who was a legendary yesterday.
Any actual prank would most likely not work out as the community would be prepared for it, so instead that opportunity can be used to implement a new system, which limits any user that has not earned a single merit from wearing signatures or avatars regardless of their amount if airdropped merits
