For those of you who know Russian, this is the news report of Pavel Krymov's arrest (on youtube):
Pavel is the alleged founder of yobit scam exchange

Im not a russian but at least i have tried to make that youtube video to convert into english might not be accurate but atleast i do get some points which this is just a totally misleading video since theres no arrest or involvement but rather a report or news about those forex brokers or other companies which do involved into swindling.

I've said that before and I will say it again:

Trading on yobit is like playing Russian Roulette; you never know when pulling the trigger (withdraw or deposit) will actually kill you (stuck transaction forever) but the more you play it, the more it's likely to happen.
Lol, is that true the owner of yobit got arrested? Well, no doubt on this I saw it many complaints regarding their services on how their exchange works. The transactions process was a too lousy freezing fund of the transaction on withdrawal the most issues. We better avoid this exchange site and find a better one.

A lot of accusation in yobit i think the transaction there is really not good idea still if you look in their site this is good so if someone copy there site or looks like yobit that's good they only need to be trusted with fast communication to every users not like yobit
Any clone copy of a certain exchange wont really be good even if it do looks yobit but do have different or much better service given it doesnt mean that it would be easily trusted.
People would just be curious if they are already experiencing problems. Rumor would still be a rumor because the site is still operating which means the owner or founder havent been arrested yet.

This won't surprise me one bit.
Accusations against yobit can fill volumes
Just look at list of stuck coins:

https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/yobit-stucked-coins-list-add-yours-1499017

They have actually kept 10btc from a guy since Dec 17:

https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/yobit-scam-withholding-10btc-2718718

And they have scammed me as well:

Since this thread seems to be getting some attention, I'm going to post some of the topics posted about YoBit being a scam, so that more users are aware. Just as a reference, just because you haven't had any bad experiences with this exchange should not make it any more reputable or trustworthy. I truly believe that it is just a matter of time before the collapse of this exchange.

I could go on and on and on. But DYOR and don't become one of those unlucky people that gets targeted by this shitty exchange. I'm one of them, and I've still got thousands of dollars worth of crypto stuck in an account that I've been trying to access for over a year.
What happened to your account in where you are not able to access your funds?
As far as I know they don't have any verification process for their customers.

I'm still not able to access those funds, or my account for that matter, and the last message that I have from YoBit is from November 25, 2016. I've sent 8 replies since then, the last one being on June 9, 2017. I still have not received an reply, and I'm definitely not hopeful Roll Eyes

I will say that I never took YoBit serious as an exchange. Why? First of all, dice. Currency exchange and a dice game on the dashboard/portal? Lol.

Yobit was never meant to be a serious exchange in the first place. It was clear from the very beginning that Yobit aimed at the noobs as being their main user target, and that later got more confirmed by having Yobit add all types of gimmick features to trap in even more noobs. It's nothing more than a money making machine for the operator behind Yobit. If you look at how insanely easy it is to get your shitcoin listed there, and how many coins have been listed throughout the years, I am sure that he made millions of dollars just from that aspect alone. In easy terms, the only winner is the operator behind Yobit, and everyone using Yobit is a loser by default. It's like playing Russian roulette with your crypto funds....
Same thoughts on here which I have never tried to convinced myself that Yobit is a serious exchange from the very first place. This is why I'm not surprised if they would gone in an instant any time of the day and if this news is true then the owner do really deserve such thing to be arrested.Reading above more information about this guy it is already involve into some serious issues and now its payback time for all the bullshit that he have done. Following this thread for more serious proofs towards this.
But this is just reported as a rumor and it might not be true but i always find yobit as shady as always where there is a lot of complaints about of their services. If were them i would rather take away all of my coins on that exchanges, it is just about time before that exchanges will going to take down by the government.

+7 being Russia’s country code I was tempted to think this might be them trying to quickly find a way to liquidate all those coins behind the countless unresolved tickets they are accused of ignoring:

https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/we-sell-bitcoin-in-europe-for-cash-or-by-wire-transfer-235-3057451

But then again this mght be just another scammer posting delusional btc figures, hoping to filch 2k euros from the gullible here.

Never store your coins on any exchange wallet. It’s risky and fraught with uncertainty. A paper wallet, securely duplicated and kept in safe locations, is the safest cold storage wallet. Anything exposed online, even if secured with passwords and 2FA, is prone to theft and scams.

the next days will be very interesting
It certainly is.

I want to know if those "direct proofs" that was mentioned on that thread if it will be disclosed too. But the best thing to do now for someone that has big funds on their exchange better watch out and ready to withdraw your funds so if something bad happens, you're totally safe.

And the sad reality about them, even this arrest never existed they have the worst support.  Undecided

Many thanks for warning. I will try to withdraw the majority of my funds there. As mentioned in many threads and posts here on forum, it is always better not to entrust the whole trading funds to just one exchanger. But although yobit is known for its bad support and suspicious schemes on investbox, I never had bad experiences there.
Update: Withdraw was nearly instant like all my previous withdrawals (mostly doge)

I can't say I'm surprised. This would also explain very bad running of business that Yobit had. Still this doesn't have to mean that Yobit will stop existing, some new leader could overtake it or it could be sold.
Nevertheless I quit doing business with Yobit a long time ago because of very poor service they were providing and because of many scam accusations.
People who trading with common sense would avoid yobit once they have experienced to trade there , too much strange coins with overpriced listed there , too much suspicious services run there. I have experienced to wait my withdrawal pending more than 4 weeks, crazy and I leave them right after I received the funds.

Wow thats bad news for YoBit users. Fortunately, I am not having any funds in it.
Same for me but I used to trade there before.

Luckily I only have few YOVI token there which I might never be able to exchange out if the platform will be shut down after this arrest. But I think this news is just a rumor and he might not have any association with yobit.

This made me check their website if it's still running and it is. The guy is involved with other fraud schemes and there is one existing scheme on yobit which called the "investbox".
With all that said, I don't believe that Krymov owns YoBit, and I think that it will continue operating without him. Even more reason to gtfo. I hope if anyone from these forums takes anything away from this, it's that YoBit cannot be trusted. Be cautious.
I don't care whether he is the owner or not but I believe it is compose of a group and a single person that will gone out of share will not stop them from operating.
