I have a few questions regarding running a Bitcoin gambling website online.

I am located in Canada. So I'm not sure if it's legal for me run a site like this online from within Canada.

If it is legal for me to host the site else where, where is it possible for me to host it and do I need to get it licensed or it's okay to operate without a license since it's crypto.

Perhaps, you can check the hosting provider from the old gambling site so you know where you can host your website, and you can understand if that gambling site needed a license or not. Or you can ask or find out in your country if you make a gambling site gambling, is it illegal or not. I think if you can get the hosting provider that supports gambling, you can host your gambling site to them, and the other things that you need to do are searching the license.
no doubt of the gambling site would be real and will be under legal authorities then you will feel much safer than other. People get attract towards transparent system than the complicated one so be real and get facilitation for gamblers. If you really want to get money and become rich with your casino you will have to spend money at beginning.

You could possibly have the option to build to types of gambling or online casino website, the first one is to build a centralized casino where everyone is will be free to play as long as they have the funds with them but needs a strong regulation where you need to contact government first for you to run it, or to try to build a casino where the system is completely decentralized, people isn't needed to KYC and you as well will be completely anonymous, though it is risky, because you will not be conformed to the regulation of your country if any, but the best way is to find a country there online casino is legal, then, there, you're free to create it knowing that there's no rules or law that you might break.

In the majority of countries, at least in the first world, there are strict regulations when it comes to starting your own online casino. As others have stated, I'd highly suggest that you don't take specific advice from people here as most to all, including me, have no experience in the legal field and even if one did, it is very unlikely to apply to your scenario since the jurisdiction could be entirely different.

I expect that if you want to do this successfully you would have to definitely be moving your business offshore, if you aren't willing to obtain a license within your own jurisdiction.

That process can be complicated and very troublesome. You could avoid all of this trouble by just investing in a dice site's bankroll, though that comes with its own risks.
I would prefer this way if im to say to avoid the hassle and all things for you to comply when you tend to make one overseas but
well this will vary if you do pursue it and ready for the things needed.

I agree that it would better for op to seek for professional legal advice near his place rather than looking for comments on here and as you
say where majority arent expert when it comes to legal aspects which means it is unsure.

Crypto is not a free pass. You cannot just say to the government where you are operating that because your gambling site is using crypto it is already exempted from licenses and other legal requirements.

I am not from Canada and I am not into law so I cannot give you definite specific legal advice. What I know is that there is no business that can run legally without passing through licensing processes.
In every country, the laws and regulation are different to each other and I do not have enough idea about the laws in Canada. If you want to create a gambling sites, you should first consult for those professional persons in terms of laws. They can give you an idea about the requirements that you should comply. The gambling sites havw stiff competition, you should have huge capital in order to attract gamblers. There are many new gambling exchanges that been closed because they cannot survive in competition in the market.

Since you are from Canada this article can help you it includes Canada on the list of websites that operate gambling based on blockchain,
there a line there that says
Quote
All legal online gambling businesses must be registered and in compliance in at least one jurisdiction. The most common jurisdictions that online gambling businesses register in are Caribbean nations such as Antigua and Barbuda, Costa Rica, and Curaçao and European nations such as Malta and the UK.

But it's better that you be guided by a legal expert to avoid compliancy.

A lot of gambling websites business encounter a lot of problems when it comes to money if you are already sure that this is the business you wanted you should make sure that it is legally operating in Canada.

I don't know a lot about Canada but I think it will be a great if you are going for a Casino. It would be difficult to start a business so create your business plan, choose your location register it in your city, etc.

I think talking to a lawyer could really help you. Here in our country, Philippines, as far as I know, online gambking is restricted. Owning one here in our country is an illegal act so better put an exemption to our country. Other countries would be good though, as long as you talk to a lawyer.
Yes they need to consult to the lawyer to know the law to their country if they be able to create a gambling website but Im pretty much sure lawyer wants to have permit but lawyer know how his gambling site will become legit. Im from Philippines too and creating gambling here in my country needs permit or license feom the government before you operate because possible for the founders to banned if they notice that you operate without any permit I think licenses is not big so you can apply if you want.

Don't do it we know that gambling websites only circulate funds in their websites in order to gain profit, Im not negative to what you want but in my opinion, a gambling website is not a great investment to earn a profit for long term we could see a lot of gambling websites that are already closing and bankrupt because of lack of users in the websites. Also, I heard that taxes in Canada are really expensive so I think it is going to be difficult for you to execute this or operate in Canada.

I do not know law of what is Canada have because Im from the others country but if the Canadian government needs License apply all the needs to become legit your online gambling I think it easy to get license as long as you pay that every month or you need to renew it so the government will not banned your site.

But if not necessarily to have licenses for your plan to have online gambling you can do that but better if you review if it's safe so you will not having trouble but if you build gambling traditionally ofcourse you need a license for that.

As long it is legal to run a gambling site in your country which you are located in Canada, it is possible for you to run it. But you really need to have a licensed to host the gambling site, so that you could gained trust from people who are interested to play in the gambling site that you are in.

If you are going to operate without a license you better don't do it in your home country. Find some other country which allows you to do stuff like that or if it is hard to get a license in Canada, move your business to either Montenegro or Curaçao like everybody else. (these are handing out casino licenses like you get it from a candy shop)

I have seen anonymous people running gambling website without any license. There are few on steemit, magicdice was the first to start the trend and later lead person exit scammed, since he was anonymous, no one could do anything.

For that, those who tested the site are the ones to blame. Why they risk their money for an unregulated gambling site.

This is the problem for some gamblers, adding risks to their gambling experience by testing random sites.

You should your local authorities if it is legal since it is based here in Canada it's important that you address this first and also ask if a license is also needed the most important thing here is, compliancy, so you will not run a problem, running your online casinos, it's better for a casinos to have a license since you are dealing with funds here.

No website runs from the actual nation they are based in you know that right? Like %99 of the places here have a license from some weird place coracao or whatever that nobody really cares about, all it does is give information of the owners to that place and if they ever scam people you can try to get their personal information and make a difference, otherwise there is literally nothing you can do about it.

If you are in Canada and open a casino, all you have to do is open one in that nation or any other nation that allows online gambling, then go back to Canada and run the website of things there. Sure you may need to deal with some paperwork for a while and time to time they may need it again but that's about it, all of the rest of the times you can stay in Canada without a problem.

Sorry, mate. As per updated law regarding the regulations of online gambling, it was already prohibited. Mind check this out:

It says it is considered as illegal. Your plan of developing and creating gambling website is indeed illegal in your prestigous country. Drop the plan, bro. Before getting into troubles. You can DYOR for confirmations about the existing gambling laws in your country.

Agree. Not worth it. You could probably get away with it for a while, but as soon as someone reports you and I bet this forum itself there are such people, your government would hunt you down. Tax money and fines? They also will want to set an example. Don't let us read about you in the news section please;)
