Well, hashrate for ETH depends mostly of memory vendor. On 8GB versions you'll probably get samsung chips. I think it's the best deal, 'coz you can hit 30 mhs very easy with modded bios ofc. 4gb versions have elpida, samsung and hynix. These another two can hit 28-28,5-29mhs max. Depends of luck.

So, for now 8gb versus 4gb dont have big differences. I have mixed 4 and 8gb versions so i know what I'm saying.

ZEC, you can hit 300-310 sols max for now.
Pascal ~ 750 mh/s
Monero ~ 800+ mhs (didn't tested yet, I'll post results in day or two)

Does anyone know the current hash rates for Sapphire Nitro+ 480 4GB and 8GB for ZEC, PASC and XMR? I would greatly appreciate it!

I'm looking into selling my GTX 1080 (got it for free) and purchase two Nitro 480 8GB or three Nitro 480 4GB. There's about €50 in price difference between the two, but I am also going to use this PC for gaming as well. I'm pretty sure the 4GB version is "good enough" (I know I'll be losing a lot of gaming performance compared to the GTX 1080, but I'll be able to use Freesync instead, so it compensates somewhat) but if the 8GB version has vastly higher hash rate, then I might go for two of those instead.

After all, I'll be looking to sell these eventually and perhaps upgrade to an RX 490 whenever it's released, or shortly after.

Thanks!

Can you post the link?

Red Devil model or?

Anyways, I'd rather go on sapphire instead of powercolor.

I've see on Newegg the Powercolor 8GB comes with a higher effective memory clock of 8Gbps. This is higher than the Sapphires and MSI brands. Check it out for yourself! Just do a side by side comparison on Newegg. The faster the memory the faster the mining, not to mention the BIOS mods.

It's strange that Mindfactory doesn't send to Croatia, and with caseking there is no UPS service for Croatia so the postage is quite high.
There are currently rx 480 Nitro+ 8 GB on caseking for 269: https://www.caseking.de/sapphire-radeon-rx-480-nitro-8g-8192-mb-gddr5-gcsp-151.html

well crap, then maybe is better for me to buy good rx470 model because 480 sapphire nitro+ is little bit over budget

on that online shop (its cheapest online shop in EU that ship to Croatia - i think? please correct me if I'm wrong) I can get Sapphire NITRO+ Radeon RX 470 8.0 GB OC  for same price as stock sapphire 480 nitro that I posted on previous page. Or maybe ASUS STRIX RX470 8.0 GB - i don't have experience with this card

Guys, look carefully about nitro models. They have alot of versions, suck as stock one, + and OC.

I'm taling about + version. The basic one dont have dual bios, lower memory and cheaper chips, they also have different design(8 pin pus on the top) and different vents.

what about this one?
I plan to buy 3-4 more, it's not nitro +, but... what's difference?  it's about 274 $

https://www.computeruniverse.net/en/products/90681939/sapphire-radeon-rx-480-nitro.asp

You have those even cheaper on Mindfactory: http://www.mindfactory.de/product_info.php/8GB-Sapphire-Radeon-RX-480-Nitro-8G-D5-OC-Aktiv-PCIe-3-0-x16--Retail-_1139653.html
But the lack of Second bios and low speed memory isn't worth it.

1 BIOS vs 2 bios Nitro+
7000MHz memory vs 8000MHz Nitro+

8Gb memory with speed of 4Gb cards. Thats why it have this prize.

Yap, im going for Sapphire RX 480 Nitro+ 8GB.
Costs almost the same as the XFX GTR anyways.

But, its a very expensive card, can't get them lower as 270e each and that hurts  Cool

Go for the Sapphire Nitro. It's the best quality price ratio you can get.

Well Nitro+ is the best in the class for sure.

You also need to consider that you need a dual BIOS switch. Flashing BIOS on Polaris cards are very common nowadays. Why omit free 15-20% boost with just replace the BIOS.

Nitro+ has also unlocked voltage control, 1x8 pin (I would bypass the 6 pin versions), nice cooling VRM, good support from Sapphire, etc.

For mining cards:
masive cooler!
VRM cooler to cool it down under 75C at all times
memory cooler!!!!!!!

So far about AMD RX crap, I only know that Nitro + have main cooler on both memory and VRM, MSI is crap and most other also, there are many cases of blow VRM!

you can not put small plate over VRM and call it a cooler for sure not for mining!

Who has the XFX RX 480 GTR Black Edition 8Gb? How it's memory overclocking?

I'm selecting 480 with 8Gb... And now my choise is Sapphire RX 480 Nitro+ 8Gb (11260-07-20G) or XFX RX 480 GTR Black Edition 8Gb.

Any help with choise? Most important criteries is low temperature, 24/7 work in mining, long life...

P.S. Who knows difference between XFX 480 GTR Black Edition and XFX 480 GTR TripleX?

The Gigabyte G1 RX 480 is one of the shittiest RX 480 you can get.
It's the pinnacle of crap VRMs on a modern-day GPU (worse than reference), only slightly better than the Powercolor Red Devil which is even crappier.
Get the cheapest XFX or Sapphire you can find, those are the highest quality implementations. (slightly behind Asus Strix but that is expensive)

XFX RS has even crappier VRMs than Gigabyte, only the GTR has good VRMs.
https://www.reddit.com/r/Amd/comments/565e70/xfx_radeon_rx_480_rs_pcb_photos/

MSI Gaming and reference (if noise is a non issue) are good as well.

I would recommend XFX 8GB RX480 GTR Black Edition. They are extremely overclocked, have dual bios and a good cooling system with their black metal plate at the backside. I am happy with these cards.
