many thanks for the tip(s). I did most of the tests you recommended and indeed all points towards PSU. Hashboard may have been unplugged or half connected when I was doing my ghetto diag posts. But when everything is plugged in... everything is groovy except for the short circuit message. Following  your advice with what I have and reseating everything/changing white cables around/making things look pretty etc

One interesting thing - each of the hash slots returns a unique but constant voltage on the short circuit. Sounds like something is toasty in the PSU? In this case slot 1 is .09, slot 2 comes up as .2x. This is my only S19Pro so I'm limited in terms of further testing. But I'm fairly sure i've ruled out everything - except for the PSU. I made the possibly unwise choice of buying an S17 to "play with" some. I'll experiment on it to see what kind of things braiins says when I fiddle with it.

Will definitely reach out to your guy. THanks a bunch for your time! Happy mining!

Ok heres some funky for ya's

Tested boards - they seem ok ... as best as I can test them.

Installed braains on this AML s19pro so I have logs from both factory and braains.

Here's the factory:

Sorry.. I should have probably pastbin'd all this?

I've cleaned everything. I've unplugged and replugged everything in. I'm not an expert - but the PCIe connector is producing a nice clean 12v on the needed areas. Likewise my multi gives normal readings...

which makes me think of something in a Bitmain article about a "clerk" and "voltage" which I think was a bad translation for a voltage regulator in the Psupply?

Any connection guys?

All green. Just 0 hash.

But in the first kernel log he posted it was not showing 0 asic for the bad hashboard, which is why we started talking about the EPROM, if shows 0 asic then that is a different story, it is likely the hashboard is dead and needs repair, in other words, it is unlikely to be software related.

Opppsss.... that was my mistake I didn't review the previous logs I thought that I saw it on the image but the image only shows that the first hashboard is abnormal.

I got my sd-card adapter. Apparently its USB 3.0 but luckily 3.0 is backwards compatible all the way down to 1.1.

I flashed the image onto the adapter, stuck it in, booted it up and nothing. I go to the ip address and its still the old firmware.

From my understanding, it should have auto-installed after boot-up...

You might did it wrong that is why the version didn't change and sometimes fake SD card have fake voluke that can turn some files corrupted so try to re place a SD card.

Also there is a detailed guide on how to flash this unit through OTG/SD card check this link below

If still didn't work then like other said and my previous post boot it with Braiins OS you can che the guide below how to boot or flash the miner with Braiins.

It could have flashed the firmware but just so happened that it is the same version, to confirm if it went through or not, you would check your pool settings (should go back to default settings) and the miner's ip settings (back to dhcp).

Try BraiinOS, it should boot from the sdcard without flashing to nand.

This shows that the 3rd chain is dead, in the op it was chain 0 ( labeled 1 in the GUI), did you swap these two hashboards?

Yes he did that was my suggestion on my previous post to know if the cable is damaged or the hashboard is dead.

Don't you find it strange that its defective yet no issue with my logs?

I am very unlucky. I dont have the sd-card version. I will order the adapter and load up Braiins OS and report back.

EDIT: Will this adapter work?

I don't see any strange logs except on the abandon mix board and 0 ASIC on the 3rd hashboard.
If we see these logs like the Abadon mix board the first thing that comes to my mind like Philipma1957 said that 3rd hashboard might be a replacement board which is why it stop mining due to the EEPROM compatibility issue.

About the OTG SanDisk, that thing might work but I'm not sure if the s19j pro USB port support USB 3.0 and it's a bit expensive why not just buy a Micro USB port to USB female connector which is cheaper if you already have a USB flash drive.

Wait, the new logs you posted is telling a different story from the one in the op

Code:
2023-06-16 22:31:38 Chain[2]: find 0 asic, times 2
2023-06-16 22:31:38 Chain 2 only find 0 asic, will power off hash

This shows that the 3rd chain is dead, in the op it was chain 0 ( labeled 1 in the GUI), did you swap these two hashboards?

The issue from logs still the same as from your previous logs removing the 3rd hashboard and keeping the two hashboards should run normally with decrease hashrate.

As suggested by mikeywith you can try Braiins OS to test if it is just an EEPROM issue but the problem is as you said before that it does not have the SD card slot have you checked the control board inside and maybe the SD card slot is hiding near Ethernet socket or beaglebone ?
Or if does not have an SD slot then your last hope is to use an OTG drive to micro USB to boot Braiins OS in your unit.

2023-06-16 22:31:38 ERROR_SOC_INIT: soc init failed!

ARE YOU USA BASED?

There are a few good repair guys that can turn your gear around fast.

If you deal directly with Bitmain they can be very slow.

You end up with all three boards turned off for a month or more.

Nope, Canada.

UPDATE: All 3 hash boards stopped working today. WTF?

Maybe now somebody will see something in my logs? I would be so grateful to anyone that could shine some light on this issue.

THANK-YOU!!!!

I pulled out the two good boards and now its telling me "No data yet! Data is currently unavailable".

This could very well be an EPROM related issue, it would have been very helpful if you were able to install custom firmware on this type of control board, there is probably a way to get in using SSH or something else, I'd try to contact BrianOS and Vnish folks (AwsomeMiner to ASIC.to) and ask if they have a way to burn their firmware on this weird control board.

Custom firmware ignores that voltage setting stored in the EPROM and can many times fix such issues, if there is no option, you are going to need a pro to fix it, they will probably start by copying the hex from a good board to the bad one.

ARE YOU USA BASED?

There are a few good repair guys that can turn your gear around fast.

If you deal directly with Bitmain they can be very slow.

You end up with all three boards turned off for a month or more.

Its hashing fine with the 2 good boards that are in there.

I posted here in an attempt to get the 3rd working.
I suggest check the hashboard physically to look for possible burnt parts that cause this issue if you found one you might need to hire a technician to replace it or do DIY.
If you found nothing there are some basic things that you can do without a technician like cleaning the hashboard pins and if you have a soldering iron you can resolder all pins including the terminals on the busbar. Look at the image below to get my point.

https://i.ibb.co/tLWDsw8/20230613-074512.jpg

Yeah, I looked closely and could not find any issues.

I may need to ship out my machine to have it repaired by a professional.

I don't think its right that the warranty on these start the day it was built, instead of the day it was purchased. I've only owned it for 3 months.

I attempted to install a single good board and same thing. I assume its not possible to run these machines on a single board.

Instead of installing the broken hashboard better remove it and try to run the two working hashboard it should be work but if not then you will need to install a custom firmware like Braiins OS as suggested above to be able to bypasss this issue.

If you don't know how to run the Braiins OS on the unit without SD card slot you can try OTG drive to boot Braiins OS check the link below.

Very odd and there's nothing about it in the log. Let's try this, run the machine with only the bad hashboard plugged in. Then let's see the logs.

I pulled out the two good boards and now its telling me "No data yet! Data is currently unavailable".

It does not matter if I have it in slot3 or slot1, it just will not display data at all in order to get access to logs.

Now we found the issue that the hashboard is broken it's not a software issue but a hardware issue.
You can replace it with a new one but if you still want to repair the hashboard and you have some repair tools there is a guide on how to repair this hashboard

I am not qualified to repair this board on my own.

UPDATE:

I moved the hash board to a different slot and now slot #3 is not working so its definitely an issue with the hash board itself. There is zero corrosion. Everything still looks brand new.

I currently use NiceHash but I moved to F2pool and it made no difference.
