Am against  hiding your seed and phrase keys from everyone.  They should be a trusted friend or family member that should be trusted with incase your misplace it. Even if you store offline it can still miss. No one can becareful enough. I once lost my wallet phrase and retrieve it from a cousin I once sent it to. But we must protect our keys by all means. Safe it online and offline to avoid story that touches. 

I have often heard on this forum that, Not your keys Not your Coins . Each of our members in this forum has their own wallet and has its own phase or seed phrase to protect that wallet. To keep those wallets safe and secure, seed phrases should be stored in a proper place so that no one can find them. Many of us want to save this wallet phase through online based device ie phone and google. Maybe it is not completely safe for them because online based devices are likely to be infected with malware.

What if Google cloud is compromised? Or what if your account is compromised? Anything can happen. To backup your seed phrase online is not safe and secure at all. Paper backup is better. If you think paper is too fragile, you can laminate it. If you think laminating it is still fragile to fire, you can get yourself a steel or titanium seed phrase backup sheet. But I prefer paper backup but no natural disaster before where I am staying.

You are forgetting that a paper can get damaged by a lot of things and can also be misplaced, saving them on your device might not be safe especially you screenshot them and save them in your gallery. To me the best way to save them is to put them in your electronic mail or Google account, no one can access your email but you expect you give out your password which is something no one can do. Your last point too is very reasonable, backing your seed phrase is also a good idea, when it comes to crypto you must be very careful.

Omo when e comes to seed phase matter I go still talk am again there is no one safe way to safe it, because if u talk say you go save an online for email or somewhere else it can get attack by hackers or have malware issues. To some extent I go even talk say email own de very dangerous pass because your phone fit enter anybody hand and humans de very smart especially wen it comes to money matter. And again you could loose your phone anytime or something could happen to your email.

And if you talks at you wan write am for paper, anything fit do the paper, another person fit see am where you write am, again the paper fit damage maybe water fit touch am or rat sef fit chop am. You never can tell. And again u fit need your seed phase make you no de where the paper de. Maybe you traveled and you urgently need your seed phase and since na paper you write am you no fit they carry am go everywhere.

There are so many things that can happen to your seed phase no matter where you choose to safe them. So me since I know say there is no one best way to safe your seed phase I de safe am for multiple places. I de save am for paper, for email, and even use the words as caption on different photos on my social media. So with this no matter where I de I feel I can have access to my seed phase anytime.

You emphasize more on the laptop. I just want to let you know that you can import your seed on any Wallet app, that allows import of seed phrase. Both on desktop or laptop. What I come to know of is that some people don't actually know that they can take the seed phrase generated by one wallet app and import to wallet app. It doesn't matter the device you had used to create the wallet, it will still show you your funds regardless.

Again, storing of seed phrase should be one of the thing that as a beginner, you should take very seriously. If you end up losing your seed, and probably got logged out of your wallet app or something, you can loss your coins for ever. avoid storing your seed online like some do in Google. Yes it might not necessarily mean that someone will just start chasing your seed immediately you add them to Google or other cloud  services, but then there is a probability of you losing your seed to hackers, without you even being aware.

Safe guard your seed phrase will not stop u not to learn cryptocurrency, it will open your eyes to see d reason u must write your seed phrase in a safe place u can fall back to take dem in case anything happen to your laptop. To me, I will advice newbies to have d idea on how to protect their seed phrase before leaning bitcoin and cryptocurrency, because it can pain when u loss your seed phrase and your laptop and it will be difficult for u to recover d bitcoin because d only thing u can use to recover d bitcoin is your seed phrase which u have loss, I can still remember what my mentor told me when he was about to put me through about bitcoin and cryptocurrency, he said I should make sure I write all my personal details in a safe place Incase I want to make use of dem in d future, and it will be easy for me to have access to dem again.

I heard a story of someone that lost 22 thousand dollars worth of Bitcoin because he forgot his seed phrase, most people don't know the difference between keeping their funds in an exchange and a wallet, when you are keeping your funds in a wallet you must set up a seed phrase that would be required when you want to access it. I had a conversation with my friends few days ago and we were talking about ways to save a seed phrase and we weren't able to come up with a conclusion on the best way to protect your seed phrase. When I started cryptocurrency investment newly I lost my seed phrase, I wrote it down and kept it in my room and some days later I couldn't see it anymore I searched everywhere but I couldn't find it and at that time I already had some money inside my account and that was how I lost everything.
For me I think the first thing we should learn about when it comes to cryptocurrency is how to secure your seed phrase and password, a lot of people have lost money through misuse of there seed phrase or password, if you don't secure this things very well someone can use it to withdraw all your funds in your account.
So one needs to safe guard his or her seed phrase and password to avoid losing money and account,
You need to keep all this things in a place you know you are the only one who can have access to, if you do this then you have safe guarded them.

I mostly write my private keys/seed phrase on a clean sheet of paper kept among my school documents, its safe there more than any other place I may think of, I've been a victim of key lost before in my phone notepad and I lost an asset worth something in my wallet, I learnt a lesson to always write it out in paper to avoid been reckless.

Oh, Woow, this is a very clever way of safeguarding one's seed phrases. The way I wrote it in My book sef ehn, anybody can read that book and not have the thought that that's my secret seed phrase. I used My Poetic intuition carry package small Rhymes weyn sweet and funny. So, nobody go even reason My Secret.

Writing down your seed phrase can be an option but while writing it down you do not need to make things very obvious that you are writing a seed phrase so someone who knows what seed phrase looks like will not be easily able to tell. You can make it less conspicuous, and then keep it in a manner that does not attract attention. I think when storing it, it will be better to keep away from our other regular documents that can be easily accessed.

If your seed phrase is stored in a phone, it should not be a phone that you take to the public, or allow other people to use. It has to be a really private device, very private that other people barely know about it.

I won't advise you leave your seed phrase in a phone whether encrypted or not it's risky to make such move as much as you wouldn't also make a screenshot of it too. Any person with an idea that you are into cryptocurrency could have access to your phone and brute-force  your so-called encryption having access to your seeds phrase. Or what if you lose your phone accidentally your phone and keys all gone.

It's advisable also not to save your seed phrase in your notepad app, that's the major mistake someone do make also, many feel that saving up in notepad is somewhat easy and faster but it's dangerous because, all informations on your notepad are cleared out if you conduct to clear up your cache and storage on your notepad.

Never procrastinate to pen down seed phrase on paper immediately you are issued, it helps.

No decentralized wallet allows the option to screenshot seed phrase, it's never happened, except some cheap web wallet that doesn't know the rules.

Some newbies in crypto actually learned the hard the way because they were careless with their seed phrase, a lot of them think it's not something they would need again so they just abandon it.. I've done this when I started my crypto journey And I lost some funds due to this careless act
The best thing to do is to write them in a special book, save them in an encrypted note application on your phone, you might ask why not simply screenshot and save on gallery?? I don't advice you to do that especially if you are type that gives out your phone to other people

Even in your phone you fit save am, I know say some people Dey give their phone to their friends but for me people wey Dey give their phone to their friend and they have their seed phrase save in the phone are not wise, don’t get me wrong, what I’m trying to say is that as a person that knows he is hiding in his phone and you know that your friends fit see am if you give them phone is better to not give them your phone, I know some of the friends will see it as you don’t want to give them your phone if them collect your phone waiting them wan do if not be bad friends and thief wey them be, I no Dey trust anybody ooh even my friends that’s why I no Dey give them my phone.

Na true be say you fit write it down on a paper so that you can easily get your things back because even if you save it in your phone or email and your phone lost e fit Dey take time to get access to your wallet but writing it down is the best way you will get them back, but as person wey Dey hold bitcoin or any other cryptocurrency make you try Dey wise and no trust anybody, Na friends Dey teach person lesson.

That's a very good one to be highily noted as long we're into this crypto sphere using the blockchain.
Wallets would actually be useless if there's no fund in it but i to sounds ignorant to hear from beginners that their funds is more important to them than the wallets. It's noted that payments are made before buying bitcoin or any crypto coin but primarily, keep safe and privates of your wallets seed phrase is a valuable acknowledgement because without detailed to secure your seed phrases, you'd definitely have your funds at stake.
We should also be mindful of multiple places we stores our seed phrases so that we don't forget to take note of checking out of them if still intact because it could mean to be reachable to anyone if we're not concious enough because at times we might get loosed of some copies at the hidden places while some persons has in anyway or accidentally catch up with it and then steals our funds with the access of the seed phrsses.

Anybody that is into cryptocurrency, especially we that are on this forum must secure our seed phrase because it is our only access to import our original wallet into another device. Bitcoin is a decentralized currency and everybody accesses their coins through their wallets making them their own banks, the moment you lose your device where you have your wallet and also lose your seed phrase that means that your Bitcoin in that wallet is lost forever. That is the gravity of losing your private keys, it's your proof of ownership and when it's lost or stolen, the ownership is either transferred to a thief or is left in the blochchain as a donation to the Bitcoin community.

Everybody that has a wallet address should also be well informed not to save their seed phrase online because of hacks, the internet is a public space and people's devices can be hacked. The best practice is to write down your private keys and hide them in more than one place, so if one is lost or damaged you can still have access to your wallet in the case of lose or damage of your device.

There's no need for those deluded stuff or you need is a copy of you phrase written by you secretly when there's no one watching, now keeping it safe also depends on you but it shouldn't be associated with any form of Internet.. There're lot of ways to keep it safe  but you might want to carefully safe it where there won't be any form of water or fire getting near it and remember it must always remain  hidden always to only you .

Seed phrase is something very important to have a proper record of it because when you don't store them safe you stand the chance to lose complete access to your account and to the funds inside the wallet. That's why I always encourage people to store their seed phrase or private keys in written form where only them could have authority over there documents to access their funds when needed. That's why many people who complained about their funds missing is a result of not storing their seed phrase where only them could have access to it.
