depending on what kind of cryptocurrency you want to store on these wallets and how much. The most reliable wallets for major cryptocurrencies are Trezor cold wallets. I use it. if you have any shitcoins, then for them only bad wallets

The safety depends largely on how you use the wallet. Any form of wallet that has no control to your private keys are safer from third party risks. Paper wallet maybe safe from third parties but keeping the paper safe and keeping privacy during printing and claiming your coins back would have a degree of risks. Similar are the risks with hardware wallets. Online wallets can be safer for a person who uses the coins often as they have multiple verification system but your funds would be at the mercy of third party.

Cryptocurrencies can be kept online or offline. If the cryptos are kept on the exchange platforms or other online platforms, it can be lost due to hacks.

So it is important to choose the best wallets that are safe and secure. Please help me in choosing the safest cryptocurrency wallets

At least it's good you have some bit of knowledge on some basic wallets and how they function.  That's a basic place to start.  But if you are a newbie investor, you need to know more about some safest wallets to use.  App wallets are safe to some extent.  For big investors, they make use of hard wallets.

I recommend using a hardware wallet, if it is for long term storage. But if it's only for the short term, online wallets are great too and I recommend Trustwallet.

Just try to make sure if you are using the wallets that have already developed by the trusted platform like binance with its trustwallet or MEW when you wanna try to store ERCtoken.

YOu can also use another wallet like imtoken, exodus and many more.

Just choose the wallet that can give you the private key, I believe those are the safest options. Also you can use Trust wallet, I have been using it for many years and have not had any problems with it.

Paper wallets are the most secured, if you plan to lock your coins away for a very long time please consider using paper wallet and keep your recovery seed safe, that's all, using online wallets like mobile wallets constantly is more risky and more exposure than paper wallet

offline wallets are the most secure cryptocurrencies hardware wallets.
These devices store your coins in a very safe space, and they support a wide verity of cryptocurrencies
I think the best one for beginners is : Ledger

At least state your needs. Do you need a mobile wallet? Can you afford a HW? Or you just need to store your coins and then hold it for years?

There's no one solution for everyone. Somebody might not have a computer but can afford a smartphone, or they have a second smartphone that has not been used for years but still run properly. The latter might not need to buy any HW and can just use the second phone as a semi cold-wallet if necessary.

I feel comfortable and safe storing my money in a blockchain wallet, but you can choose from other friends here, I've been saving my money for more than 4 years and it's not really a problem while using a blockchain wallet
Me as well! I'm aware that blockchain wallet can be a target for hackers. However, I believe in their security system. Some people choose to store their capital in a different method, though, I prefer to use blockchain wallet. Furthermore, it will not be a big deal if you don't store your capital in a place for too long!

just write down your privkey to a paper and never make it connected to online otherwise it still prone against hacking but the existing desktop wallet are already safe enough that the hacking case only occur 1 between millions of users maybe. If you never did anything phishy to your computer or to your privatekey the existing wallet like desktop is pretty much enough security wise

Paper wallet are the safest on my own point of view because it's total offline wallet and also hardware wallet are very good too.
You need to be careful when to set up paper wallet, if you don't set up properly... you can lost all of your coins.

Storing in an exchange is dangerous because it is prone to be hacked. Maybe it is good only  to store coins on an exchange that is popular in the market and you must enrolled your account on 2FA just to make your account secure.
You're contradict your own statement. 2FA, email verification, strong password, special question etc doesn't make your coins safe if you put in exchanges after got hacked. This only make your account secure on exchanges, not for hackers. Store your coins on an exchanges is bad idea, not your keys... not your coins.

Every crypto currency has its own wallet ready to download they are running from different chain so you need to also have different wallet for every crypto currency you own.
That's not really accurate, you can use multi-cryptocurrency wallet (e.g. Exodus) so you can have multiple cryptocurrency in single wallet only

The safest is hardware wallet (e.g. trezor [2], ledger [3])

As said 1000 times before, the safest is the cold storage if one knows how to properly set it up and properly use it. On the same line are the correctly and safely generated paper wallets.
Then there are the hardware wallets. Then the properly installed proper wallets. Then the non-custodial web wallets (since you still own your private key). Then the custodial web wallets (which are just accounts on websites).

But as said, OP should start with reading more (including threads like https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/general-bitcoin-wallets-which-what-why-1631151 ) before attempting to give incorrectly written "advises".

Any wallet that gives you your private keys or Mnemonic seed are the safest, some popular wallets like free wallet, coinbase and others don't give users their private keys as big as they are, these are example of online wallets to me, I use trust wallet and copay wallet

Cryptos are stored in the blockchain network, not in online or offline and the wallets are just the interactive tool for blockchain network and it comes in different features. But wallets which gives you private key are the safest one.

For better understanding about wallets please read the sticky threads on beginners section.
