A company did an interesting social media experiment on people's acceptance of cryptocurrency as a method of payment for salary.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-vcGUeDlnLU&t=30s

Looks as though it could possibly have been staged by the company (I don't think so??), but the results seemed similar to what I would expect if it was genuine. And I think it is actually a clever way of promoting their token sale, more potential to go viral than other promotional videos I've seen. Anyway, personally I think I would be happy to take cryptocurrency as at least part payment for salary, and depending on circumstances, the whole amount.

Being paid using crypto currency is good and innovative but in terms of value of crypto this is not good because of the huge down to its value in just a couple of days. This is so risky because if your salary is 500dollars and paid with crypto that time then after an hour your 500 dollars became 300 dollars then that is a huge lost.

I think it's really hard to do that because not all people are doing bitcoin so it's hard to give them a paid in bitcoin. Then the value of bitcoin is not stable.

No, I think it is not a good idea. many people dont know about bitcoin and every country has currency. It is imposible, we cannt to fulfill our needs with it.

Why is it not a good idea? It's not like you're forced to accept it in cryptocurrencies anyway. Companies/sites/organizations would probably just make it an option anyway; it's very unlikely for them to make you accept bitcoin mandatorily. If you didn't want to accept crypto then you're pretty much unaffected anyway.

I don't think I can accept bitcoin as a salary unless I have another stable job, because bitcoin is unstable and risky. And companies paying bitcoin should atleast done it legally because I don't think government will allow that.

if in your country you are applying bitcoin as a legitimate payment tool then it does not matter and you should get approval from employees who work with you whether they accept payment using bitcoin if they accept then it is not a problem.

That is a foresight for a 21st century working salary. The integration of bitcoin in order to pay the goods and services can be achieved right now and in the near future. But I think it will do by a lot of firms and companies if the bitcoin will become stable and workers can access in cryptocurrency.

I don't think I will.
Because the price of bitcoin fluctuates, I don't like the sharp drop in my salary.

like the work done in this forum is by following the campaign signature activity of course our payment can be through the payment method with bitcoin so I think all can be done such a method as long as there is agreement agreed from the workers and employers. but on the other hand I think the work done in the real world obviously differs no deal and follows the campaign signature activity and I think the method of payment with crypto done on the job in the real world can be done during payment time should follow the ever-changing crypto price movement.

if someone get paid their salary in bitcoin, its more likely you get paid with assets invesment. simply you just directly invest what you have done in the company and what you get from the company. after I watch the whole video, it can be seen that almost all of the respondents already know cryptocurrency, this is a good sign. and a 36% percentage that says yes simply indicates that the longer cryptocurrency is getting accepted.

Maybe if I already have enough money for my daily needs because If I my salary now is being paid by bitcoin it will become volatile so I dont want to spend it because I will just be saving it and will just convert it when the value increases.Specially when the value drop down I will never spend it and will just hold it as much as I can.

Yes that's the thing mate, the genuiness of the crypto currency in terms of government views would bring the revolution. The thing is we can't accept it as long it's not legal tender in our country. On the other hand neither companies can pay in terms of bitcoin if that's not legal. I mean actions might be taken on such organisations.

However, considering the bright side of the bitcoin and if it is made legal by government then I am sure I will be the first one to run to my employer and ask him to pay me in the bitcoin form. That would be just amazing to see salary in terms of the bitcoin.

Apart from this, this will push the economy to next level and government will do understand this in the time that yet to come.

Using Bitcoin for payment salary is not a good idea, it would be very risky because of unstable cryptocurrency prices. Currently crypto is only suitable for investment and and other transactions but not for payment of salary.

salary payments using bitcoin actually does not matter if there is agreement and approval from the salary is not a problem because I think it is more profitable if the pay using bitcoin.

No,i won't doing a salary paid in bitcoin. Because bitcoin price is not stable and bitcoin can't be use for our daily needs, you can't buy a groceries using bitcoin and not all countries accept bitcoin already. Actually bitcoin as a salary has  an advantages and disadvantages. If someone recieved bitcoin as a salary during the time bitcoin price are lower it is good if one day bitcoin price increased but if someone recieved bitcoin at a lower price and it won't recover instead continue declining then it is not fair.

Personally, if I had the chance to be paid with crypto, I'd only accept bitcoin. Though I wouldn't want it to be 100% in bitcoin as I really just cant use bitcoin for purchases in the country I'm in as pretty much no one accepts it. Hopefully in the future though. I'd probably accept 50% in bitcoin and 50% in fiat; but this also completely depends on how much the salary is.

No, Bitcoin and alt coins are a good currencies and investments but salary in crypto is not convincing for me, the market fluctuate a lot and sometimes the price could fall down severely, so no, and it will be hard to buy things using cryto, for salary we need something stable so we can manage our financial in a better way, and some guys in the interview is really bold by ready to accept salary in crypto, seems like guys are more willing to take the risk of accepting crypto

I watched the video and its so funny and interesting how people react on their situations, only 36% of them are interested and willing to get their salary on cryptocurrency and I see some of them are shocked and have no idea about crypto.

If I am the one in that situation I cant really choose a crypto as a whole salary because as of now the value of the coins are very sensitive and too easy to change so I going to choose to get a part of my salary in crypto maybe 20-30% of the salary will go to cryptocurrency.

getting paid in cryptocurrencies in general specially in a token is not the same as getting paid in bitcoin!

altcoins and worst of all tokens are not at all good for payment because everything you think is the reason why you don't want to accept bitcoin as your salary is even worse when it  comes to them including volatile price and lack of acceptance my merchants.
on top of it, the tokens are not a stand alone cryptocurrency. they rely on another platform which then can add a lot of problems to the equation.
