I think there is no any strong reason to support who think for killing bitcoin. They must be working for their personal benefit. Bitcoin is undoubtedly the king of the crypto market. Bitcoin is widely accepted around the world, its lovers are more than its haters so the people who think of killing BTC should remain out of the globe. Bitcoin transactions are faster, cheap and secure. Being decentralize in nature it can be done w/o any central agency control so why one shall hate it. I hope someday BTC will be accepted by most of the merchants around the globe.

If you guys think that your coin is much better than Bitcoin on both demand and supply then why not just promote your coins and make them useful.
