I don't even think that samsung galaxy s10 will be willing to just support the ethereum because of every ethereum user actually also uses bitcoin.

We can only speculate why Bitcoin is not included by Samsung. I have a hunch that because there could be some regulatory pressures from them not to include it in their wallet. But this news could really be welcoming for crypto enthusiast specially who loves Samsung phones, but it will be good if they're going to have Bitcoin as well because we all know that it is the number one crypto in the market and no doubt that it will be a win-win situation if ever they are going to add it in their wallet.

This is a very good move. But I am surprised to see that Samsung could not integrate bitcoin wallet in the first instance. ETH wallet is a good starting point too.

Even if Samsung don't support bitcoin it is not going to effect any level in bitcoin because crypto currency users know the level of bitcoin and ethereum, maybe they starts their service with ethereum and erc20 tokens later they may get elaborate their services.

This doesn't actually matter as long as their is a kick start, certainly everything will fall into their own place at the right time. As of now cryptocurrency has yet to be known anywhere from all walks of life. And by doing so it will be made more known and it could not be a problem anymore to feed the idea of another cryptocurrency be it bitcoin or any major cryptocurrency. What is popular will always be popular and time will come that it phones will eventually hold more cryptocurrency that it will be for now.

Still samsung don't have much knowledge about crypto currencies that why they ignored bitcoin.

And don't even worry about Samsung launching their wallet, because we already have lot of better wallets here.
and maybe bitcoin is not the most indicated coin for that.
It's honestly ridiculous.Bitcoin is the most suitable coin.Apparently here the situation is quite different. And specifically, what we all need to figure out. It's not casual.Top 1 coin and the price of which is the highest can not be unnoticeable.Samsung company is very pragmatic and competent. This decision is in any case something justified.

I thought it was obvious, that this wallet will support only ETH transactions and this is one more sign for BTC lovers. Ethereum should be at the top of this market and big companies are showing their opinion through such things.

This is just confusing. Sometime ago the news was about Bitcoin not Ethereum and now it's Ethereum. I remember seeing a tweet about the ethereum dev asking for Eth to be integrated and getting a negative response. Or was that not Samsung involved. I do not quit remember anyway but which ever one. The news should bring improvement in the market. That's the greatest concern.

It doesn't matter because we don't care about the Samsung Wallet! We have many options for the good wallet. But It is good that Samsung is involving in cryptocurrency gradually! And, it is strange to me, they ignored bitcoin? maybe they wanted to make a hype or discussions about it to make the wallet known with every crypto people! Who knows!  Wink

that's really strange.
Maybe they think that crypto is only a way to pay/buy something, and maybe bitcoin is not the most indicated coin for that.

I'm not ironic, i really find hard to believe their choise

So? People can still download a mobile btc wallet if they wanted to, plus you still need to download the wallet app since it's not pre-installed so can choose to download both the ETH wallet from the galaxy store and a btc wallet. But I wouldn't discard the posibility of an update in the future so that the wallet can also accept BTC.

As for only accepting ETH. Not surprising, ETH is still a major crypto in the market, plus having the option to also accept any ECR20 token is a great feature.

I think it's not so important, you can see all other crypto wallets, exchanges or platforms prioritize top BTC. Maybe Samsung hasn't integrated BTC yet, but I think they will have to add it in the nearly future.

The electronics bull, Samsung has officially declared that the blockchain and cryptocurrency wallet for its Galaxy S10 phone is at this time compatible only with Ethereum (ETH) and Ethereum-derived ERC20 coins. Bitcoin (BTC) and other major cryptocurrencies are not yet supported, regardless of the BTC logo surfacing on previous pre-release presentation pictures.
