I can't remember when the last time I watch a TV, but that is one noting input from your side regarding the user experience. In another hand, to let users buy and keep NFT within their so-called smart TV, I wonder how the security aspect will look like. Not to mention they are aggregating across multiple marketplaces which it will increase the amount of, let's say user money on that. I guess there's might be a chance a scammer might try to deceive specifically on that, but that only concur if the device gains a userbase, so let's see.

for now, we don't know what possible bottlenecks they will be encountering here. but security is very important and they need to secure that it will not be infiltrated by scammers. somebody can imitate their gadget and make their own NFTs, so they need to publish all their authentic NFTs in order to identify which one is fake or not.
NFT market is indeed expanding and now popular companies are starting to get their hands on NFT market. expect there will be more of them in the coming days.
I actually refer to many users getting hack as overall and wonder about how the system protects its user since they said the user able to buy through the tv. But your point is another subject that is worth mentioning, fake digital arts seems like a whole lot of NFT problems that need to be addressed. In favour of NFT who claims to be a thing that represents verifiable digital ownership, it seems morally wrong if a lot of people are profiting by stealing other art and making fake NFTs.

Taking a few examples of Opensea, it seems like they will go into a centralized way since I believe their action concur with it. Feezing stolen assets and removing fake NFTs seems like an easy solution rather than somehow trying to find a solution to its root problem. So, I believe Samsung will also go that way.

I like how the idea of NFTs viewing will be part of the real world and a lot more people would probably have been exposed already to the concept of NFT. Then more people would learn about the blockchain, and development would be prosperous towards the betterment of everyone. I think a lot more dApps would come into fruition in this day and age. I know a lot of people would still be using TVs.

Not being pessimistic but who the heck will gonna use that kind of smart TV with a pain in the ass remote controller and with added useless feature? Even if you use their newly added NFT thingy, using remote control for choosing your NFT's would be so damn slow  Roll Eyes

Now people prefer to use smartphones while watching movies rather than watching TV...
But I'm sure Samsung put NFT on TV will have a positive impact.

I speculate we might see NFT marketplaces, games and tradables being available in other platforms like the Playstation, Xbox and Nintendo. I also speculate some of the largest mainstream game publishers to offer NFTs in their games.

Imho the main adoption will happen only after we have a decent working blockchain for it. Also there are ton of problems with current ones, every L2 scaling in eth still needs to be transferred between L1 to L2 to make any sense. Maybe eth 2.0 fixes this, but i don't see for example nightfall offering decent enough privacy solution for it eihter.

I think it’s just samsung trying out the NFT to their platform, I think samsung also have some kind of crypto wallet created by them but I don’t know if that’s really true.
However it seems in the long run if NFT seems to show positive feedbacks to their products lineup I think samsung will just eventually integrate NFT to their ecosystem.
Samsung’s ecosystem isn’t that much behind compared to Apple’s like home appliances, etc, just imagine if there is the use of NFT that could enhance productivity in their ecosystem.
But as many people here have said, having an NFT platform in a TV is kind of useless but I guess it’s just samsung’s beginning in the journey of making NFT integrated into their ecosystem.
I think at least if metaverse that uses NFT truly becomes the future, samsung already have the ground to stand up and continue further integrating the NFTs.

...Samsung Electronics announced Monday that its new smart TVs will allow users to purchase non-fungible tokens (NFTs)...

This is all a continuation of the hype around cryptocurrency and can serve as a further introduction into everyday life. But in my opinion, it is not necessary to use a TV at all, and soon an iron to buy an NFT, since everyone has access to a smartphone and a computer.

It's nice to see big names joining crypto, and I understand it's not necessary to use TV, but maybe Samsung is trying to draw some attention and make their TVs more desirable! Especially for youngsters, and I guess they realize that crypto is the future in many ways, so why not start earlier?! At least they are strong enough to do what they want, and I see this as a bold and good move from Samsung management, they think long term!

Everything here in crypto space is a bubble mate so we can't blamed them. Let's just be thankful if however NFTs is not a bubble or whatever it is that can make the project don't last. Cheesy but yeah NFT's is getting recognised nowadays because of some popular people as well that already in it and how NFT's explode afterwards and many people obtained good return from it or should i say how stable their income when it comes such projects, that's why it's not surprising why until now it's very optimistic or there are still some popular company that wants to involve in it.

I am imagining how that could happen using our TVs but nevertheless, I'm excited and can't wait to see that be reviewed by some of the people in the community.

It's a continuous development and yeah, NFTs might be a bubble in speculation but with real adoption from companies like this, we might see what really is the true status of it.

The NFT market is still not finished and is still in its early stages so it is possible that they will take advantage of this momentum to penetrate the crypto and virtual worlds.
On the other hand, the metaverse is still a reference so that many companies will take advantage of moments like this to explore in a better direction in the future.
on the other hand this is probably the first big company I know of at the moment to be in NFT, CMIIW.

Back then I was planning to buy a Samsung Smart TV but I guess back in the days it was hella expensive and it might not even worth it for me as just an ordinary guy watching TV at home. The extra features ain't worth the extra coins.
Seeing Samsung launching their own NFT platform makes me wonder if it will be even worth it as if many are requesting it. NFT launchers seems to pop up from many popular companies now these days without the community asking it like Ubisoft in their games.

It's gonna be interesting when big brand companies are started to join the hype of cryptocurrency, starting from NFT there are already many big company adopted this technology and a lot of world celebrities shouting NFT to their social media.
And the current trends is metaverse, Adidas which is one of the biggest sport and fashion brands already invest on one of metaverse projects.
This year crypto is no joke, there must be something positive news upcoming in near future, mainstream FUDS will be no longer affected the market i'm sure

I think this could be the main reason why many millenials as of now are heavily invested to the idea of NFT and metaverse, aside from it’s interesting from their point of view but it’s also because the big companies like samsung that are trying to get into metaverse.
NFT could be a bubble but I think metaverse will become a huge thing in the next decades if big companies decided that it’s worth the investment.
I think in the future NFT that are in game lands gonna be big since you could literally rent some space for advertisements if the game is getting bigger and bigger, I think it makes sense since even nowadays many games are already having some kind of advertisement inside their games. Apple and google will be also joining into the metaverse. it seems like expansion from the major companies are happening right now

Cant wait when I can start earn cryptocurrency and get NFT just for watching TV. We had PCU/GPU mining for a long time, HDD mining was intrudes last year. Now TV mining will start. I will share an idea that will make developer rich - not every TV has a smart tv option and manufactures invented smart tv sticks, adaptors, boxes. Develop, produce tv mining usb stick and you, your kids and your family next century will need nothing to worry about for the rest of their days.

We All Can Make It
With Samsung's introduction of NFT platform within its new smart TVs, we should expect rivals to also introduce the feature so that they can stay competitive.
Although I am not expecting a perfect rollout as there might be some challenges that users will experience at first but eventually there will be updates that will improve user experience. Time to find a good metaverse project to invest in as it is gradually becoming mainstream.

Its very clear to see that 2022 for metaverse project won't be that big because 99% of metaverse projects are not finished yet they are all hanging in their beta version till today so not until we see real metaverse in action the hype won't be big

NFT world and metaverse in 2022 I'm sure it will go to moon, now in crypto there are many metaverses appearing following predecessors like (Mana).. hopefully this year will be the year of NFT and metaverse.
Its already year of nft and metaverse but the booming in my opinion will seen on 2023. Right now every preparations are taken in place. Like most projects are gonna release on middle and end of this year. So expect 2023 a full grown metaverse hype and ecosystem. Even Zuckerberg definitely will roll out meta.
