Satoshi is like santa.  Everyone believes at the start but eventually reality kicks in and the magic disappears.

It's very inspiring that he created something that's amassed him a personal fortune of 100m+ and he chooses instead to stay anonymous and prolong the longevity of the cryptocurrency rather than give into greed.

Personally, I want him to stay anonymous.

I'm pretty sure that if he comes back he'll be using a different 'nym.  "Satoshi Nakamoto" is absolutely the hottest nym in the whole world right now; using it again would be insane.

anyway...satoshi has forgot to do one thing: spreading his coins, to fast forward the adoption phase...
And how will that happen? If he would have spread the coins the price now would have been a lot smaller because most of the people would have just dumped them.
Known Satoshi's bitcoin wasn't moved since the early days of bitcoin. And thats is a good sign, because it shows that he is not a greedy person. And what do you mean by 'spreading the coins' Do you want him to give out his bitcoins for free to random people? Why would he do that. I think these coins are his reward for creating this whole mess - as we know it - crypto revolution!

I think satoshi has shifted his focus elsewhere but still lurks around, it didn't take him long to post that he was not Dorian last year.

maybe he is still active on the forum. but he knows that bitcoin doesn't need him anymore.
the community took it over and brought bitcoin to the next level.

he is working on bitcoin 2.0, is still behind me why he stopped posting here, unless he/they is/are dead
We don't need bitcoin 2.0 right now, maybe in the future when bitcoin will be more established. And Satoshi posted one message in 2014, when media suspected some innocent man of being Satoshi.
So he is not dead as people may think. I think he likes his godly status...

for bitcoin 2.0 i mean this curent version of bitcoin, but out of the beta state

sorf of a final release

anyway...satoshi has forgot to do one thing: spreading his coins, to fast forward the adoption phase...

call him how many times you want, he's never going to show up.  Roll Eyes
The legend says that if you repeat five times "Candyman" while facing a mirror, Satoshi will come back.  Cheesy

he is working on bitcoin 2.0

That wouldn't make sense. If he was working on that, he would be committing his changes to the Bitcoin Core repo. Why keep it secret?

like the above poster said, maybe he's doesn't want to work with in public because he's afraid that he might be tracked. besides, he could be using a different name for all we know.

Posting as a different account makes sense, but “might be tracked”... well... he could have been tracked before. There's nothing different in this regard.

yes, but bitcoin wasn't very well known back then.
the risk of being tracked is a lot higher now than it was four years ago. now I wasn't here back then, but I don't think that (some) people worshiped/cursed him like they do these days.

So if it's satoshis profile http://p2pfoundation.ning.com/profile/SatoshiNakamoto

Is this real info?

 Satoshi Nakamoto

    39, Male
    Japan

Doubtful in the extreme. There are loads of clues that point to some type of identity - British spelling, slightly odd grammar, mainly active during US East coast time - but they could well be totally deliberate attempts to put people off the scent.

I thought the fact that it was satoshi or someone else that hacked into his account is still being questioned?

People generally agree that this was real Satoshi and he just cut discussion of Dorian Nakamoto being Satoshi there. Whether it was real it is not we would never know.

Wasn't this account hacked? http://p2pfoundation.ning.com/forum/topics/bitcoin-open-source?commentId=2003008%3AComment%3A55276

If I had $250 million in Bitcoins I would want to stay anonymous for the rest of my life. I doubt we will be hearing from him again.
Yeah, it's generally a bad idea to be famous when you have THAT much money. What do you have to gain from it? absolutely ntohing.

People generally agree that this was real Satoshi

Only people that have no idea about signed/unsigned messages and hacked email accounts "generally" agree with that.
