Agree. He is already 38 years old, it is no longer an ideal age for a footballer. Yes, in this age, many footballers already retire from their career. Meanwhile Ronaldo still has a good ambition to be the best player in SPL and he still contributed well for Al Nassr. Scoring above 50 goals is something extraordinary for a 38 years old player. So, he actually already did good work for Al Nassr.
Sometimes I fold my arms and wonder how football will turn out to be without the presence of these big names. Al Nassr should be thanking their stars they signed Ronaldo and he single-handedly deliver the team in crucial moments, alot of things he has done, creating and breaking records which he's popularly known for. Cristiano Ronaldo is the top goal scorer for SPL and also lead in 2023 as top goal scorer on the leaderboard and in all this he's 38 years old. A genius in football weigh beyond the level of his teammates, infact they're learning from him in all games he featured.
Ronaldo is a living football legend. It's a privilege to play in the same team with him. These players have a lot to gain from it. He has great technical knowledge. He also knows how to work. He can easily continue in football as a coach or trainer. Look, he is almost 40 years old and still in great shape. He became the top scorer of 2023 and will almost be 38 years old. There is a lot to write about him, but in summary, Al Nassr players are very lucky.

Even SPL was very lucky to have him caused by ronaldo can reject it anytime but he was still accepting an offer from al nassr to join in the club. He lives in the luxury life. It is really paid off for him and he is really enjoying his life in saudi pro league.
Ronaldo was just a savior for the league. I do remember that how small SPL is compared with this time. Ronaldo has brought so many interests to play with him. He was bringing a very good development to the league.

The excitement within me is so immense that I cannot contain myself, eagerly awaiting his match against al Hilal, which promises to be an incredibly intriguing spectacle. Al Nassr found themselves on the losing end during the first leg of the league, but there is hope as Ronaldo is expected to make use of his possessions for the second leg. The club is trying so hard to be at the top place like al hilal. Im really happy when seeing ronaldo play against the strong team caused by it gives a different atmosphere.

Buying ronaldo was the best decision ever made by al nassr. It's caused by he was helping the league to develop it to be ranked in the higher tier of league.

However, this hope has the potential to be dashed for Ronaldo fans all over the world, if in the end Ronaldo is unable to bring Al Nassr to present the Saudi Pro League trophy plus the top scorer belongs to his rival Mitrovic. in this thread, it is very likely that almost most of them are Ronaldo fans, because Ronaldo is always the best-selling theme in every discussion in the Saudi Professional League thread. to be honest, I am a neutral supporter for this competition. the point is, I only enjoy matches that are interesting and crucial for me. the rest, I don't really follow the development of the lower middle teams. currently, the Saudi Pro League has presented 19 matches and Al Hilal is perched at the top of the standings.
meanwhile, Al Nassr is in the runner up position with a difference of seven points from Al Hilal. 7 points adrift of the top of the standings, this must be a strong motivation for Ronald and his colleagues to keep Al Nassr on the right track. apart from that, if Ronaldo cares about the competition for top scorers, Ronaldo automatically has to prove his capacity as a sharp player even though he is no longer young. after all, Ronaldo has a lot of support from his teammates. there are Sadio Mane, Talisca, Brozovic, and several other players. in terms of quality, Ronaldo gets special support from his teammates who have the ability to help him break into the opposing team's goal.

Apart from that, being 7 points behind doesn't have to discourage Ronaldo fans. after all, this competition still had a lot of matches left. and what is certain, overall Al Nassr will play on the right track. however, the rivals will not let their rivals get close to their points. which means, Jorge Jesus will try to ensure his squad stays on the winning track until they get closer to winning the trophy this season. likewise with Mitrovic, the Al Hilal center forward would be honored to compete with a star of Ronaldo's caliber. whether in terms of scoring goals, or bringing his team to win the League trophy. well, let's see how far these two teams compete and play their matches until the end of the season.
Ronaldo fans still want to hold up the argument on Ronaldo being the GOAT but I think it’ll be all over and crazy if our GOAT, Loses both the league and top scorer position. Which I don’t think he’ll lose both because it’ll be scary for us and a nightmare for us he fans. After about 19 matches, Ronaldo’s team’s still sitting far second on the log but what’s sweet is that him and his teammates are really fighting and supporting each other.

The competition is still far way to its end and Al-Hilal must be able to maintain their form till the very end because any slip in 2 matches would make Al-Nassr overtake them and that’s pretty possible because football is a game and has 90 minutes to play. I think the competition between both teams is really fierce and interesting and the fans loves this healthy competition, Al-Hilal shouldn't be too comfortable with their spot on the table cause they're just 2 loses away from losing their position. And any mistake could see that become a reality which is something the CR7 fans are really hoping for.

Usually in the past years we saw some superstar players they join the Saudi League and they were not having good performances anymore because of their older age and they get retired from these Saudi and Arabian teams but Ronaldo changed the gem and he is even in his good form when he is near 40 years old.
Ronaldo, even scored more goals than before after he reached 30 years old and that's why I think it's pretty much normal to see Al Nassr extending his contract for a longer time.

It is really like beating a dead horse to talk about Ittihad as they aren't playing for anything this season. The gap between them and Al-Hilal is 25 points! If they want to make it into the AFC qualification, there is still Al-Nassr and they are 18 points away. In light of how many games are left to be played, absolutely no chance is left for Al-Ittihand to achieve anything meaningful this season. Every single game they now play is actually a waste of time. Unbelievable considering what people like Benzema earn as their salary and then perform like this.
Al Ittihad seems almost losses opportunity for qualifying to AFC Champion League next season because gap many points from 2nd teams standings Al Nassr, for defending their domestic league tittle almost impossible because they have 25 points left from Al Hilal and second half season left 17 matches not sure with Al Ittihad get opportunity to make miracle return back to first standings position.

Unbelievable with Al Ittihad performance in this season although signed many top european players but can't help more with current standing dropped many points left from top position, seems Al Ittihad realistic target in this season break out to the 3rd standings position because finish on AFC Champion League seems difficult with Al Nassr and Al Ittihad have well performance.

Seems like Al itihad still dont find the path, i dont know why, because they ahve two great coachs but seems like the players dont fit in the ideas of them. three loses in a row is so much for a team with mega stars, and that loses were against weak teams in the preview.

The early matches of the Saudi league year have finally rolled back and in today's opening match there will be Al-Taee against Al-Ittihad. As we know, Al-Ittihad was still in poor performance at the end of last year and until now their victory is still quite doubtful, especially against a weak team like Al-Taee, I think they will still encounter problems. Al-Ittihad are definitely favorites to win the away game, but if they draw it will add to their bad record.

In the last 5 matches, Al-Ittihad only won once and the rest ended in losses and draws. Karim Benzema, who is expected to be a goal machine this season, also seems to have yet to see his contribution to the club. I hope Al-Ittihad can win again and improve their current position in the standings. They have to do it because as defending champions it is not very good to have a bad season like this.

What do you think, will Al-Ittihad win?
Al-Ittihad experienced 3 defeats, 1 win and 1 draw and also Al-Ta'ee had 3 defeats and 2 wins.
From the results of the last 5 matches, it can be seen that Al-Ta'ee is still slightly superior because they were still able to get 2 wins, but this does not necessarily provide a guarantee that Al-Ta'ee will be able to beat Al-Ittihad, but to hold a draw that could happen, but I doubt that Al-Ittihad will only end the match with a draw because in the history of meetings between the two clubs I have seen Al-Ittihad always win and even though this match will be a sign match I am sure Al-Ittihad will win with a very narrow score.
There is only one hope for Al-Ittihad to rely on Benzema even though he has not made a great contribution but he is ready to finish all this to provide a winning score for Al-Ittihad.

In Week 20, Al Hilal will face Al Raed and it looks like they will get another win and extend their unbeaten run this season. Almost all the matches played by Al Hilal they will be the favorites, including in this match. Yes they are so impressive in maintaining their unbeaten record that makes them firmly at the top of the standings.
If the situation continues like this, then Al Nassr may have to remove their hopes of becoming champions this season, because their competitors are very difficult to beat even Al Nassr itself is difficult to beat them. In the first meeting of this season Al Nassr also had to recognize the superiority of Al Hilal by losing with a score that was quite striking also at this time. I think Al Nassr needs luck if they want to coup the position that Al Hilal is currently in.

It is very difficult when other strong teams have experienced coaches while Al-Ettifaq only has Steven Gerrard who has a big name as a former football player to boost their popularity. The results are as we can see now and Al-Ettifaq is sitting in 8th position in the standings and is still likely to drop again if they continue to suffer bad results in the next few matches. Al-Ettifaq also has not won again in the last 8 matches and all of them only ended in draws and defeats.

Obviously it is a bad result and I am not sure even if this January they bring in more players but as long as the coach is Steven Gerrard the results will remain the same and nothing will change. So the solution for Al-Ettifaq is to find a trainer who is competent in his field and of course quite experienced.

I agree that Steven Gerrard is not worthy of handling this team and competes with other teams he has a great squad but has not been able to give Al-Ettifaq a good performance for the team, luckily Al-Ettifaq is not alone there are also other teams like Al-Ittihad who experienced the same thing which is in position 7 so Steven Gerrard has a reason why he hasn't been able to bring Al-Ettifaq to the best position. In my opinion Al-Ettifaq will do something next season not for the transfer window this month, the owner will not let Al-Ettifaq fall down.

It was not even worthed to recruit him as a coach even when there was not an agreement with it about the first contract, i had ever talked to myself regarding the decision took by al ettifaq to recruit him. I said to the myself if that was the worst decision has ever made by the club.
This club having some money but the main problem if the club was not winning to cooperated with PSG soon. Ettifaq has two choices for now.

1. Sack him
2. Keep him

Any of these choices have their own consequences. firstly, ettifaq may be losing a coach but this is greatly impact the performance from the club. This shall become the main concern here. There is also a good thing from sack him caused by ettifaq will able to recruit a good coach to handle the club.
Secondly, keep him in the club can be considered as a bit blunder from ettifaq. Gerrarad was never helping the club to play better. It's just playing even poorly. That totally depends on what decision is going to be chosen by ettifaq regarding the future of him in the club.

I would prefer to see ettfaq to sack him caused by gerrard has been bringing club to the bottom position. I shall give him applause about this.
I never saw someone like gerrard which was failed in everything as a coach. he is just once again destroying his career as a manager. Gerrard will become jobless ver foosn.

I really miss Al-Nassr playing again against the Saudi Arabian League again but unfortunately it's still quite a long time to see Al-Nassr playing again and the first opponent that Al-Nassr will face is Al-fateh and in my opinion Al-fateh cannot be taken lightly by Al-nassr Even though Al-Fateh is ranked 6th, of course I'm sure Al-Nassr will appear confident against Al-Fateh, but I'm sure Al-Fateh will also appear confident because I saw Al-Fateh compete. against Al-taawon at that time Al-fateh won with a score of 1-3 and I am sure Al-nassr and Al-fateh will compete for points.

but before the match with Al-fateh Al-nassr will play against inter miami as a friendly match, I think this is the match that the audience is waiting for and I also hope Messi is there and plays and I can't wait to do see the appearance of Cristiano Ronaldo and Messi.

Of course, from the results of this match we will see whether Al-Nassr will win or not and of course this is a rare moment that we will encounter, namely the meeting of Cristiano Ronaldo and Messi and of course we will see whether Cristiano Ronaldo will win. score a goal or not and whether Messi will also score a goal or not. I am sure the Inter Miami coach will prepare his players well because I believe Al-Nassr is a strong team and I am sure Inter Miami will not underestimate Al-Nassr because Al-Nassr is currently ranked 2nd in the standings. while currently Inter Miami in the MLS league is ranked 14th.
The Riyadh Season Cup will be a historic competition even though it is only a friendly match between Al Nassr versus Inter Miami. It was a match that brought together football legends Messi and Ronaldo. It could be that this match will be the last in Messi and Ronaldo's rivalry, after we have seen it in European competition for a long time. Saudi continues to boost the image of its homeland football in international eyes, I think the Riyadh Season Cup will get the attention of many fans in the world.

The Saudi Pro League will only be held again in mid-February, while the round of 16 of the AFC Champions League will be held in the same month but slightly earlier. So I think this friendly match could be the right place to fill the gap in official competitions, I see the strength of the two teams is quite balanced, but we also have to wait until February to watch it too.

In my opinion Al-Ettifaq will do something next season not for the transfer window this month, the owner will not let Al-Ettifaq fall down.

In fact, from the composition of players currently owned by Al Ettifaq, it is natural that Gerard has difficulty finding a good strategy for his team, so it is very natural that Al Ettifaq is in 8th position at the moment (Al Ettifaq's performance is not much different from last season)
Steven Gerrard has a big name because of his experience as a football star, but not all great former players can become great coaches, Al Ettifaq will definitely give Gerrard time to help improve Al Ettifaq's performance.

Currently Al Hilal is the strongest team in the Saudi Arabian league, the Al Hilal coach is truly a brilliant man, even Al Nassr is having difficulty catching up with the points they are behind.
Talking about the composition of Al Ettifaq's players, in my opinion the players still have good potential but unfortunately Steven Gerarrd cannot build the club's performance as a whole because even though he had good experience when he was a player, in fact players and coaches are different and I don't think this is his field. We can see when he was fired while coaching Aston Villa because he worked very badly, he was even fired because he was only able to make Aston Villa achieve 2 wins from 12 matches, so I don't think there is any other reason to keep Steven Gerarrd if the club doesn't change.

And in the last 10 matches that Ettifaq played this season, he was only able to achieve 1 win, this shows how bad Steven Gerarrd is at coaching clubs, coaching the Saudi league and the European league is clearly different because Steven Gerarrd has no experience and has never even played here, so according to I understand that Ettifaq did not achieve the expected results with this coach.

PIF made a very wise move through Al-Nassr by bringing Cristiano Ronaldo to Arab football. What makes Arab football get more attention from world football fans. And all of that is because of the big name that Cristiano Ronaldo has in the world of football. He is already 38 years old and will almost be 39 years old in the next month. And yes, thanks to the name Cristiano Ronaldo, many other top European players are also attracted to the Arab league. So this season we can see more top European players in the SPL. In fact, next season there may be even more.

Cristiano Ronaldo continues to contribute well even though he is no longer young. And yes, he is the top scorer this season. This season in the SPL Cristiano Ronaldo has scored 20 goals in half the season and I am sure he will score more goals in the second half of the season.

What if the opposite happened, Al Nassr slipped in his two matches. moreover, in the 19 matches they played, Al Nassr suffered three defeats. meanwhile, Al Hilal remained consistent without losing even though of the 19 matches they played, 2 of them ended in a draw. in terms of consistency, Al Hilal is superior to its competitors. after all, in football it is unique, the situation could happen otherwise. in the upcoming match, Al Nassr has the potential to slip when playing his game. especially, when these two teams meet again. if Al Nassr falls again, that means making Al Hilal more comfortable in his position.

So, so far we have only talked based on assumptions and speculation, we will really find out after these two teams play match after match. plus, the match between these two teams. from a player's perspective, Ronaldo will definitely always try to score as many goals as he can. on Al Hilal's side, Mitrovic will be increasingly challenged to stick closely to Ronaldo in terms of scoring goals. even, if Al Hilal continues to play its best game. it is possible that Mitrovic will take over the top scorer. well, the point is that we don't know anything other than waiting as these two teams play match after match. and what is certain, to reduce Al Hilal's points, Al Nassr must overthrow him at the next meeting. the rest, if Al Hilal slips in the match they are playing. in this way, Al Nassr's chances are getting bigger to overtake the position of its rival team. however, Al Hilal is well aware that they cannot relax their performance if they want to win this competition trophy.

~
I doubt that team results (by the way, the number of goals scored also largely depends on the team) can be transferred to a discussion about individual qualities. This is the first thing. Secondly, no matter how Ronaldo performs in the Saudi League, fans will argue about who is the GOAT based clearly not on his achievements here. All the most important things are already in the past - the Champions League. Of course, there are still games of national teams where Ronaldo is going to continue, but this will be, so to speak, “additional material” for discussion.
I mean isn't it logical that when you are making assumptions on who is the greatest, you should probably not put in the league that is not even in top ten, and probably not a great league at all. Okay, I am not saying they are at San Marino level, but I would not put them anywhere near top 10, and would have trouble positioning them at top 20 just because they had one great year with many great players, maybe in a few years when we see more, we may, but not now.

So all in all, I think if we are talking about "Messi vs Ronaldo", that ended a few years ago, when Ronaldo was at United and Messi was at PSG, that was the last year they had, last season and this season is not considered for me, they are just done, see the past to compare them, not anymore.

Team results and individual quality is a difficult topic as I know that there are pros and cons here. The best example to begin with is national teams and how it paves players' ways as to whether or not they can ever win a World Cup title. It was often said that Messi would not be a complete GOAT if he doesn't win the World Cup. But how would we handle the case for Haaland then? Can he never become a GOAT because he was born in Norway and will never win a World Cup for the foreseeable future?

But at the same time I agree that considering Ronaldo's goals in the Saudi League makes no sense. It just doesn't add up when we want to compare the best Messi vs. the best Ronaldo and we count the goals he is scoring in Saudi Arabia when there is so much more to look at that has significant meaning in soccer.

Cristiano Ronaldo has a good lifestyle as an athlete, even though he is 38 years old, he still performs quite consistently and is the top scorer this year with a collection of 54 goals. Its not problem for him when raising age 38 years old keep consistency performance regarding other players on his age have been retired or playing with lower level competition. Must be inspiring for other players how most important with good lifestyle as athlete and keep take care with their physical condition.

It is not easy to win SPL title because there are some strong teams now. AL Nassr may have some top players, but they won't win the title if they can't play as a solid team. Ronaldo also can't make Al Nassr to win the title if he works alone. Al Hilal showed that they are a solid team, that's why they are difficult to be defeated. Al Nassr must follow what Al Nassr applied in their game if Al Nassr wants to win the title.
Talking about possibility of not for Al Nassr win Saudi Pro League tittle in this season seems bit difficult although not close yet, remaining 7 points behind Al Hilal with impressive performance this season and first meeting Al Nassr have defeated not has many choose if can't beat them on second half match.
