Al Ittihad was performing much better than we could ever imagine to see from this team and they were even better than Al Hilal so far however I think Al Ittihad doesn't have the enough potential and the same good teamwork as they have got in Al Hilal and that's why I don't think if they will ever remain in the top of the Saud league and in the first place like they are right now.
However, I guess one reason for Al Ittihad to have all these good performances is their superstar player Karim Benzema who performed much better than last season. Blanc is also happy in Al Ittihad after failing in Lyon.

The reason Ronaldo keeps playing is about his ambition to get more awards, it seems unreasonable if Ronaldo does not have big ambitions but chooses to continue playing at his old age. Not that they can ever do anything at UCL anyways. So there is nothing to gain, but everything to lose if he ever did that, too much of a risk. He is obviously happy at Al Nassr, making hundreds of millions a year, he should do that until he retires and fill his bag.

What is a big obstacle for Al-Nassr in winning the title this season is because teams like Al-ittihad and Al-hilal still have better performance than Al-Nassr at the moment. In terms of consistency. Because Al-Nassr may currently look better, but we saw that at the start of the season, AL-Nassr played quite badly and mostly got draws which made Al-Hilal and Al-ittihad even further away.

And soon Al-Nassr will compete against Damac. And actually Damac is a club that can sometimes surprise strong teams. And that has been the case since last season.
