Steven Gerard is really bad as a coach even though they at Al-Ettifaq have classy players, there are Henderson and Georginio Wijnaldum players and they have both been at Liverpool, plus Higg, Dembele and Gray. but Steven Gerard could not lift al-Ettifaq to be able to compete for the SPL championship, instead now they have to settle for being in eighth place in the SPL.
What's worse is that al-Ettifaq has never won in the last eight matches, of course this is a failure for Steven Gerard as a coach. I don't know why Al-Ettifaq still keeps him as coach. Do they still have hope in Steven Gerard? Or maybe Steven Gerard's failure was due to language problems, because every time he gave directions he always used a translator?
It seems that it is true that there has not been a big change in Al Ettihaq performance under the guidance of Steven Gerrard, where he was said to have failed in training Al Ettifaq. Because so far they have been easily beaten by other teams even though they have several top players who they bought in the summer transfer window.
I think Al Ettifaq management will give Steven Gerrard time until the end of this season because if Gerrard can't bring about changes this season then he might be fired at the end of the season. Indeed, in history as a player, Gerrard was quite successful, but in coaching he really couldn't show any change for the team he coached, even though the team had star players in their squad.
Al Ettifaq so far they have only recorded 6 win this season and of course this is not a good record considering they have high quality players in their squad. I think their weakness is their defense because so far I see they have conceded a lot of goals so they have to improve their defense by bringing in top players in the winter transfer window.
