I think Ronaldo performed well to give his best for Al Nassr, he won't have the intention to prove that he is the best player in the world now. He must realize that he no longer played at the top leagues in the world. He only can be the best player in Saudi Pro League.

It was just meant to be as there was no other player in that league that was making the kind of wave and impact he was bringing in the month of February to his club and league entirely. He scored hat trick after hat trick and projected his team to the top of the table. Also contributed to goals through assist when he wasn't scoring. Ronaldo alone is a brand, with all he has achieved he's capable of using that influence to win him any individual trophy but yet at the age of 38, he's still putting in works and winning all awards on merit.
The Saudi professional league are blessed to have Ronaldo playing for them and they shouldn't underrate that as the English premier league did by giving the player horrible media coverage and making him look like the bad guy when he isn't. I just hope he's able to keep up this momentum that he's on and get himself 30-40 goals this season so he can return to a more professional league and get some season before he officially retires.

It is all about the money. A young and very talented player at the age of maybe 25 won't go to the Saudi Professional League only to play with Ronaldo. If the Saudis offer 100 million per year and a European club offers 30 million per year, that is when even the young talented players will thoroughly think about their next step.
What Ronaldo does is he attracts the global audience, which makes it less of a bad and hard decision for the 25 year old to agree to sign a contract with a Saudi professional club because at least he doesn't disappear from the global soccer stage.
For now there is only the FIFA club world cup, but if there ever will be a league or tournament where Saudi teams face more often European teams, I think that would be the start for a wave of younger highly talented players to go to Saudi clubs as well.
