Ronaldo is a great player,an idol to many, but going to Saudi Arabia was not the wisest of decision, but one could say it was because of money,on the other hand for someone who have lived with so much desire and passion for the game for more than a decade you could argue why he would choose money over individual honours and accolades..his goals will not count as much, neither will his trophies over there as was the case with xavi .

We already had this discussion infinite times. My question is why should anyone else decide on which is the "wisest" decision to take for Ronaldo? I believe that he is completely capable of taking any such decision. And his decision is to leave European clubs and move to Al Nassr. And I am not too sure whether money alone played a deciding role in this decision. There maybe other factors as well. Anyway, it is his career and he has complete freedom to take whatever decision he want. For an athlete, his prime is quite limited in duration. And for Ronaldo, he is well past his prime. Now let him have the opportunity to wind down his career in a respectful way.

Actually, I'm not really interested anymore to discuss Ronaldo. but let's continue, the fact is, the big clubs of the Europa League do not want Ronaldo even though Mendes has offered him to many big clubs including being willing to reduce his salary by 30%. which in the end, Ronaldo was willing to play at Al Nassr. also, before Ronaldo came to the arab league. he was interviewed by Piers Morgan, that he was not like other players, not forgetting, he mentioned the name Xavi who played in the Qatari league. Ronaldo said that he could still play in Europe's top leagues and was not at all interested in playing in the Arab league. and that's a fact.

but at least now he has joined his new club. as a football lover, I am happy if in the end Ronaldo can lower his ego and play well with Al Nassr. and hopefully Ronaldo can create his new record in this competition with All Nassr.

Like you ajve written mate, Ronaldo is the main reason for this thread since Ronaldo was transferred to the Arab League, there was interest to discuss about what is happening there and how the league is faring. I know.some persons some persons that are never Ronaldo fans might see it as no reason to open a thread like this but the main reason for this thread just like it is boldly written is to have a grasp of what is happening in the Arab league and here we can discuss about the content of the league which there is more contraction on Ronaldo has an outlook player.
There was no Saudi Arabian professional thread here. We didn't know well what football clubs in Saudi Arabia are. I deserve credit for opening this thread. But there is a lot of discussion going on in this thread now. Saudi clubs are the most talked about especially since Ronaldo arrived. But those who are not fans of Ronaldo never mind opening such threads. However, due to the opening of this thread, we are able to know all the information about the Saudi club and all the information about Ronaldo from here.

Well, you are right, although I think that now the focus of Saudi football will be different, they are interested in improving their football, and one of the ways is to attract world stars, in this case like CR7, but there has been a lot of speculation that they could bring Sergio Ramos and several players who have been very important in Europe, and it's not bad either because of the amount of money they are going to receive, but also in my personal opinion I prefer players of this style to go to the Saudi league than to the MLS It seems to me that they do burn out there and it is the end of their careers, because that has been done by some outstanding players, such as Pibe Valderrama, David Beckham, among others. If the Saudis manage to take Messi, then I take my hat off. Cheesy

Of course, there may be a possibility that Messi will go to the Saudi league. I thought the odds of Cristiano Ronaldo going to the Saudi Arabian league were low, but they managed to sign him. They can also give an astronomical price to Lionel Messi and transfer him. We are talking about a country with a lot of money. They are trying to be one of the brand countries in football. We may see more star players after Cristiano.
I won't be surprised if Lionel Messi is signed to Saudi league because he has already achieved everything he wants and Saudi league can do anything with money to bring big star player like Messi just to gain more recognition and more fans. Won't be bad if Messi join Ronaldo in the league.

It is not one of us who does not get emotional while watching Ronaldo. Smiley In the El İttifak match, he did his signature classic dribbling move. Those who love Ronaldo have made a great video edit (https://twitter.com/utdmotion/status/1627245552747393025).

Ronaldo is still very good. The Saudis made a great transfer. It doesn't matter how much they pay Ronaldo. They brought "a real world star" to their country. Football history will remember them with this. I hope they manage to keep him there until the end of his contract.
That is the whole transfer is about, I mean he is still providing, he still scored goals, he still assisted, like him as a "player" is definitely great transfer, there is no doubt about that, he is much bigger than Saudi Arabia league level, is he good enough to keep playing in United? Maybe not, I do not know, they look better without him BUT he is definitely much better talent than this team deserves.

However, that's not the point, that's not why he was transferred, the reason why he was bought was the fact that he is a world famous player, possibly the greatest football player of all time, either him or Messi, that's %100 sure, and they got him! That's amazing for them. Just look at this topic, didn't existed before Ronaldo, getting to 40 pages soon in less than 2 months.

Without CR7, the Arab League, I'm sure the world will never even glance at this forum. the saudi arabia league gets the world spotlight because they succeeded with the transfer of CR7 to one of the richest clubs in arabia (al nassr)
It is true that it has even been published in many media that Ronaldo's presence has increased the exposure of the Saudi Pro League https://frontofficesports.com/ronaldo-boosts-saudi-pro-league-exposure-across-europe/ from Portugal as his birthplace and also several European countries because Ronaldo has a big fan base and surely his fans will really want to see him play so this is seen as opportunity so that TV stations will broadcast the Saudi Pro League, especially when Al Nassr is playing
That an interesting article. CR7 would not have thought that he would shift to an arab country and would have a lasting impact on the  history of soccer
ROnaldo is a champion and he will remain champion for ever. I have read the article you have mentioned in the link and it is interesting that presence of CR7 has ignite the interest of the fans in the league.

I think Saudi football is developing quite nicely in the last years and not only in Saudi but on most of the countries from the golf area.

The real struggle they have right now is to sell their league games for international TV's and a move with Ronaldo just made this possible as in Romania ,my country , they already have a deal with them from next weekend to see live at least 2 games from Saudi Arabia league and if they will have a great benchmark for viewers , they might extend is as long as Ronaldo or new stars will stay there.

I think many of the countries like Romania,or which are near it,respectively the Western Balkan may start following the same track and sign a deal to see only the games of the club where Ronaldo plays as he is very well known in all the world and of course in Western Balkan too where he continue to be praised.

Saudi football is only going to improve if they keep buying players of his caliber and I think they will start doing it,buying big players who are near the end of the their career but that in the Saudi league they can have a real impact.
I have a feeler they will get Messi too - since he is near his retirement too.
The fame and money they got after having Ronaldo might have brought to their mind they should get big players as well.

They are going to host the club football this year - they have got the fame by have CR7
Their next mission is to host the next world cup and they are particular about it. After Qatar did it - Saudia too is a rich state and they can do it even better.

True. I will never see any match of Saudi Pro League if there is no Ronaldo there. The only match I saw there is when Al Nassr playing. It is obvious that we have the same reason to see Saudi Pro League match, it is because of Ronaldo factor.  Cheesy

Messi to play at Saudi Pro League is a rumor only, I doubt he will move to Saudi. But it will be very interesting if we can see Ronaldo and Messi play in the same league. Once again, we will see the rivalry/competition between Ronaldo and Messi.

I have heard in new that bids are place for  Manchester United and Qatir amer and Ineos owner has made the bit.
The arabs are rich people and they can spend a lot of money to get what they want. The way they have got CR7 in the Saudi Arab team

I also heard the news about this if it is true this will happen it will be easier for them to get a player without obstacles, they have money and power
Other news, next season Al Nasr is also eyeing several other top players like Mauro Icardi, Sergio Busquets and Sergio Ramos but this news has not been confirmed
If this news is true next season then we will see a new PSG of course the Saudi version  Cheesy and who knows in the intercontinental world cup the two teams face each other.

For this one is not something that is impossible because the club owners have connections with each other so any time an agreement can occur like what happened to Ronaldo
You may know the owner of PSG, Manchester City and Newcastle so if they really want to do it obviously it's not difficult let's just wait for the news next season.

Today's match is quite interesting;

al wehda managed to hold al raed to a draw
al fateh won 2-0 over al batin and

Al-Raed was unlucky, after they scored the second goal in second half, they incapable to maintain that score advantage so the home team succeeded to make this match results with a draw. It's a really bad for Al-Raed could only get one point in this match. While for match Al-Fateh, this team is very capable of winning the match vs Al-Batin because Al-Batin so far very difficult to get a win in the SPL, they are the worst in the league right now.

When referring to the statistics in this match, it is only natural that in the end Al Wehda was able to equalize to a score of 2-2 over Al Read. considering the course of the match, the home team controlled 56% ball possession. in fact, Al Wehda has more opportunities than Al Read. they had a total of 15 shots attempted, and 5 of them were on target, and 2 goals equalized the match.

In contrast to Al Read, after taking the lead in 34 and 53 minutes, they were unable to maintain their advantage and had to be willing to share points with the home team. but yes, Al Read should have been able to maintain their advantage and make it a win in this fight. because, Al Wehda's performance was really bad in the previous three matches without a win.

But by the way, we had a little trouble predicting this competition. and it seems, we have to dig up more knowledge and insights regarding the Saudi Professional League.
