i think paper wallet would be a great idea and its very similar to having documents of other investment ways that you have mentioned.
and i would put it in a secret place and do mention it on my last will.
problem solved.  Wink

I think i probably will buy a small amount for my two kids, and "forget" about it, and maybe in 15 years they will be worth quite a lot, and they can buy themselves a car, plastic boobs, diamond ear rings or whatever!

I, for one, I'll keep the bitcoins for myself. Let the children get their own bitcoins. They must work as well someday.

Like every other investment such as real estate, stocks and other forms of investment we know that you can invest in that kind of things and then you get something like say a Certificate or a Binding Document as a proof that you are part of that investment, now that of bitcoin all you have is just your address, your password, key and seeds as proof of the ownership of the wallet.

BTC

So now if one is considering buying bitcoins and saving for his/her children in the future is there any way to do that with bitcoins apart from having to write down your details somewhere. I'm asking because with that kind of stuff if no one knows your seeds or password no one can get the coins. Huh Huh Huh

To keep physical asset for your children is something easy, however, storing bitcoin for your children is more risky, the wallet where you save the bitcoin might be hacked even before your children grow and reach maturity stage so this needs a very high level of security.

Feel free to save some Bitcoins for your Children, just make sure that it is stored in a secured cold wallet, though for me its better to use it instead, like investing it to build a business for your family and grow it together, i mean its better to keep a physical asset than risking your money into a cryptocurrency you aren't sure of.

If you have an amount of bitcoin that is worth anything significant, you need a hardware wallet. Check out trezor.io I love their security and ease of use. Just make sure to keep the seed code in a safe place.

You can save some Bitcoins for children but it is hard to predict what the prices will be in future. It makes more sense to trade and book profits now.

It happened last week for a guy I used to know. He died and he had some coins left in his e-wallet. Fortunately a programmer managed to recover all his passwords from the dead guy's laptop and now his family has acces to his coins.

To Keep bitcoin for our next generation is a great idea we do not know where bitcoin will be in the coming years, however if it stays on the track with where it's going even few fractions of a bitcoin will worth a very huge amount. Always remember to keep the keys very safe and have a clear instructions on how your generation would get it should incase anything happen to you unexpectedly.

Saving bitcoins for your children is a good way in preparing your future, so you should better start buying bitcoin now as many as you can as long are able to work and earn so you can start buying bitcoins now... gradually those all bitcoins that you have bought will eventually increase its market value gradually and you will never know that all the bitcoins that you have saved will be worth many millions already when you will have your own children.

Saving Bitcoin is a great idea not only for our children, but also for ourselves, our families in general. The price after some years will become a lot higher than the actual price, most likely. So the holders will earn really big profit.

Well If your BItcoin IS really that High in numbers I suggest leave your password to some safe keep or leave it to your last will. Because who would benefit from your hard earned BItcoin if you just bring it down to your grave. GIve it to your children, Share it equally to your family, before you die teach them the basics and start their own account to transfer it. Be a responsible father/Mother, for your children are your treasure more than anything.

I do not think it's a good idea to leave bitcoin for children. It's like a stick of two ends, on the one hand, perhaps you are right, and if you postpone bitcoins for children, they will be very rich, and on the other hand, with time, bitcoin will be replaced by something else, and again everything will go round, and bitcoin will lose volatility.

I just keep them all with my other investments, and set aside some digital asset money for them.  I look at the prospect of owning a high-value digital asset in 10 years versus gifting them a bitcoin.  But yes, I'm using a Ledger Nano S with the associated paper wallet in order to keep everything safe.

That beign said, if you're holding coins and they get to the point of covering a college education, per say, then it could make sense to take some money off the table and put that into the college fund, and save the remaining "coin" portion as the cool gift to them.

Like, don't just hang on to 10 bitcoins if they're worth $100k each, maybe sell 1-2 and guarantee that they can go to any school they want for free, including room and board.

To me that is cooler than giving them a coin.

The idea is very good, I thought about it for a long time
Most likely I'll leave them a small amount of bitcoins, even if they fall because it is not known what will happen in the future
And so I have already prepared for complex and emergency situations

I will probably do the same. I'll prepare a portfolio which has little bitcoin and little alt coins. If one of those alt coin survive and grows then they will be happy otherwise I will try to leave them some stocks and maybe house if I can.
