Like every other investment such as real estate, stocks and other forms of investment we know that you can invest in that kind of things and then you get something like say a Certificate or a Binding Document as a proof that you are part of that investment, now that of bitcoin all you have is just your address, your password, key and seeds as proof of the ownership of the wallet.

BTC

So now if one is considering buying bitcoins and saving for his/her children in the future is there any way to do that with bitcoins apart from having to write down your details somewhere. I'm asking because with that kind of stuff if no one knows your seeds or password no one can get the coins. Huh Huh Huh
Its nice idea to store BTC for our future genertion but its highly risky to store amount in your wallet as one may loose his/her private key and password it turns your wallet unaccesible and you loose your amount but at the same time it it will make children aware about Bitcoin and then price of BTC will go to moon
Go to the moon and when the price of Bitcoin reached this target Roll Eyes? I just understand "the moon" is the words for pump coin, it not to uses for a coin is dumping the price more than 50% in the value within one month.

The bitcoin is so volatile. Saving it for your children for me is not a good idea. we dont know the status of btc after 20 years it could be better or worse.
Perhaps there's new coin/token that take the place of btc after 10-20 years.

Mutual fund is good to invest if you kids' future.

I agree. We cannot even predict tomorrow, how can we leave legacy for 20-30 years later. I will be preparing my legacy in different forms like stock exchange, usd, little btc and little alt coins. whatever grows is good.
This is not a big deal because it will save your bitcoin form wasting and sharing with family is not risk at all. they are owners of your properties and if you will share your bitcoin wallet with them then in any kind of misshape your bitcoin will not be wasted and your savings will help your children and your family so just be happy for your bitcoin wallets sharing with your children and tell them how much you have saved for them.

I made a paper wallet for my son and I deposit a smaller amount of Bitcoins there every month. I kept it in a secret place that only me and another person knows.
Every month I save a small amount for my kids for there future. Me and wife know this. I make this because I want my kids to become secure in coming future.

It's a good opportunity to accumulate for the future of our children but think first because the value of bitcoin is not very stable or profitable.

Yes,that's a great idea to save bitcoins for our children. As quite time bitcoin price is upwards if we hold and save bitcoin in future bitcoin will helps our children to maintain their life.So we can start earning and saving bitcoin just from now for a bright future of our children.
All parents are working day and night just to secure the future of their children and if they are investing their hard earned money into bitcoin, what else their children need? Parents cannot do anything better than this for their children. We all know that bitcoin prices will increase further in the upcoming years and by the time, children are able to use bitcoin; bitcoin has already made them millionaires.

that's a nice and smart move from you, props to you.
Saving something every months (fiat, btc) for our childrens it's the best way to give them something to start with, you never know what's the future holds and if now we are able to save something that's something that everyone should do, think about our childrens!

I would buy an hardware wallet in a security box in a bank (or hidden somewhere safe aka fireproof, waterproof, dustproof, etc.etc.) with the instructions and give all the details to another trusted person, that's it.

Yes that's a great idea mate..saving bitcoins for our children is the best way to give for their future..i only wait for the right time to introduce and teach them the goodness of bitcoin..but for now i let them do what they wanted to do because at their young age you can not force them to know something which is not interested to them.

Any kind of investment with your children in mind is a good one in my opinion. Bitcoin is very risky, so for a 10+ year investment i wouldnt put too many eggs in that basket, unless you're going to actively track it and maybe sell/rebuy along the way.

Just leave all the important details in a safe place and tell it to your wife or relatives that can be trusted.  But for me,  I will just tell it to my wife because she will take care of my children.

Since I was a child, it has been taught to me that saving is important, and in this case seeing the behavior of the BTC market in the last year is enough to convince us to save on it.

Saving Bitcoins for the future is of utmost importance right now when they are still relatively cheap - someday they'll be worth $1,000,000 or more each.

Keep your coins in a Hardware wallet and make the seed accessible to your children when the time comes.

Storing bitcoin for a child's future has a big enough risk, because we do not know in the future when a child grows up whether the bitcoin value is the same as it is now, plus it rises, or even the price breaks. I still prefer to sell bitcoin now and make it as another asset like buying land, home and building a restaurant business.

As for my experience Crypto-currency is a high risk, high profit business in a way. Anyway when considering the price change throughout 2017, anyone can catch a huge variance. As per my research fuel of crypto-currency is nothing but psychology of mankind. We all know how unstable is the human psychology. So think again can you allow to depend your children's future in such a risk.

I dont think it's a nice idea to store BTC for our future genertion because its highly risky to store in your wallet as one may loose his/her private key and password it turns your wallet unaccesible and you loose your amount and the price of bitcoin may also go down in future... but at the same time it will make children aware about Bitcoin.
Ya im also thinking the same. Why not turn your bitcoin into cash and secure it real in the banks or buy an educational insurance or time deposite your money for your children? I think that would also be good and a surer one than storing bitcoin for them. We dont know where will be bitcoins tomorrow in the line.

Cash? Banks? Really?  Tongue What happens when we experience hyperinflation in a few years?

Maybe buy some real estate if you have enough...

Otherwise, bitcoin seems to be a decent solution, at least in the medium-term.
