Would you say they are selective scamming customers or simply scamming anybody they could get hold of?

This is a stupid behaviour, soo if you were to try to participate into Binance ico or what they call it now, you would face even bigger issues, like you stay with hope to get some coins while those was over after 70 seconds and you keep with hope to get some coins since you see the coins being sold.(Around 10-20 minutes last the sales usually, the progress because sale is already over)

Guess what binance didnt refund anyone, neither compensated because they had some issue wich logged out all people atleast sounds it had to all... soo this isnt different at all, mistakes happens, now call scam because you havent lucky to participate, if the ico went x12 lower you wouldnt complaint at all.

Bugs happens even at top exchanges, soo yes binance, bitmax, soo what they are doing their best to list good projects, soo no one is investing anymore into all shitty Ico as before, im sorry for the opportunity loss at bitmax, but i had lost twice at binance, and you dont see me complaning here at all.. grow up.

I looked carefully yesterday into the case and I don't think its a scam accusation since the exchange didn't scammed you money actually. There is no way to verify how much weight of truth they have in their statement that they experienced some problems while in the swapping process. But I agree that this sounds wierd that your account was locked from suspicious activity which could be possibly an internal plan after you threatened.

Only thing I can say that it is better to avoid using such exchanges which acknowledges that they had a problem and don't care to rectify it.

Shocked,as you say he threatened the CEO, sure if he had locked the account not the right behaviour as well.  Binance has and still have issues and this makes no sense acusation of scam when nothing was taken, besides a bug wich gaved hope... it happens...

i agree, i also run some online bussines, not crypto related, and when i registered at competition, they banned me, and forbid me to register, despite the fact my online bussiness is 0 compared to them, and core bussines is 3mio turnover, and needs that online exchange, but they refuse to enter me in even after 10 years, they still refuse, but here at crypto bussiness, anybody can regsiter anywhere and do what they can, steal the knowledge etc...like i said hard ot be objective.

thank you for your assessment  Grin

I studied the subject in detail and realized that Bitmax is an unreliable exchange. I had some money locked up on this exchange, but after this, I'm leaving here to never come back. Scam!

Thank you for your support mate, I hope everyone should see these and take caution.

First red flag for me was the rip off name. Bitmax? Trying to get people to get confused with Bitmex is a bad way to start a business.

The chat also clearly shows a lack of professional attitude, I didn't read all of it, to be fair, too long for me.

But to be fair also, I don't think you really have a case. They didn't seem to have cheated you. The system crashed, lots of sales happen like that, you got your money back right?

I have to agree with this. If the system crashed and they did not (were unable to) process your trade then maybe they can claim it was not their fault but in future stat away from suspicious exchanges. I mean why use an exchange called "Bitmax" when "Bitmex" exists and the name seems a complete rip-off?
bitmex is a scam of the century, not bitmax,...try both and u will know why i said that.

nope, as i see you have also an exchange, and maybe there is a conflict of interests involved, .... its hard to be objective if a competiion exchange claims promotion, and not get it, and goes public.

if you cant be able to do competition.. basically, you dont. but if you did it no matter what,  you have to embrace your faults, thats it.

i will tell you my story, Poloniex is a scam by not offering /usd bets, bitfinex is a scam by sending 3.5K mails per month about positions getting close to liqudation (if you have 5 position, u receive for 5) , bitmex not bitmax is a scam by their liqudation and really to high leverage,...binance is a scam by offering shitty icos, and then delisted, etc...now ill go and ready what was the problem with this 300 buks ... i havent had any problem with them so far.

Maybe you havent had any problem so far but, as you can see, this exchange is totally unreliable.

It's good that you are trying to warn the community but always add scammer's profile link or their thread so that DT members can place their warning. You can do this by searching their service name in bitcoinfuck.

In this case here is the thread of Bitmax.io : https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/ann-bitmaxio-transaction-mining-reverse-mining-5066589

EDIT: Original poster is not a part of Bitmax team (Disclaimer present in the main post). Though I would still like to hear his comment regarding this and what action he will take regarding their thread.

I had a really bad experience. Thank you for your advice, I did it.

A happy family is but an earlier heaven!
This Crypto world is too primitive, full of scams, like the American Wild West when I was old, I really wanted to have a law born to protect investors.
