I've given more than enough time for this to be straightened out. Looks like it's time to take matters into my own hands.

The sequence of events that is going to follow will not be pleasant.

Ahhh, this warms the cockles of my heart. Actually, not just the cockles; the whole thing.

I'm completely mind fucked. If someone did this in real life they would be sued, taken to court, and probably beat up

If not for the large expanse of ocean between him and I, much of this would have already happened.

Still banned. The ops that were "sickened" by his actions have all seemed to stop caring. I even extended him an olive branch to apologize and reverse the ban and i would forgive him, he didnt even have the courage to respond.

I've given more than enough time for this to be straightened out. Looks like it's time to take matters into my own hands.

I certainly hope the ban you gave me for leaving an honest distrust of you in WOT was worth it to you Jay. The sequence of events that is going to follow will not be pleasant.

Coinabul was surely one of the last ways to maintain anonymity and cashout large amounts, no?

i'm chronicling everything here, hope you guys dont mind. the new accusation from him is defamation (which i will post the definition of below so everyone is clear).still banned on otc, and not too many people seem willing to help. did a session in that bitcoin-court, but it was just me. I was basically told that i was hosed and he can do whatever he wants. One ops spoke up and said he didnt like what happened, another said he would pursue it further. Certainly is a wake up call. And here i thought i was using the Web of Trust properly (downrating someone i dont trust) - isnt that it's purpose? You'll notice my WOT is squeaky clean, then again i'm not a scammer.

Defamation—also called calumny, vilification, or traducement—is the communication of a false statement that harms the reputation of an individual, business, product, group, government, religion, or nation. Most jurisdictions allow legal action to deter various kinds of defamation and retaliate against groundless criticism.

I guess he noticed my rating from 2-3 days ago. Bans me out of the blue from otc with the message "defamation is not ok" (mind you i hadn't said a word all day). he then bans another user in the channel with the message 'ban evasion, rawted' to try and cover his tracks. i have never had another account on otc or these forums, so i look forward to him being proven the liar that he is.

Rawted> coingenuity has kicked Rawted (Defamation is not ok)
now in the channel: gribble has kicked theboos (Ban evasion, rawted)

yes, he has been known to kick people out of chans and ban them. he had attacked me more than once. not a guy i would ever trust with my money.
Confirmation from 3 separate ops now that it wasnt me, and i wasnt ban evading. in fact the 'geosignature' that was so close to mine that he banned me for was a user from san diego, with roadrunner internet. Im in florida, with comcast internet.

Coinabul is one of the companies getting subpoenad by the NY regulators.

In addition to BitInstant, Dwolla and Coinsetter, the regulator sent subpoenas to the following service providers: BitPay, Coinabul, Coinbase Inc., CoinLab, eCoin Cashier, Payward, Inc., TrustCash Holdings Inc. and ZipZap, the person said.

I'll give it 2 weeks before Con-a-bul closes for good.

Maybe interesting to note that the others are all fiat exchanges, is this PM=fiat in the gov's eyes?

I'm not quite sure what the uproar is about: Nearly 5 months ago I tried to open the door with him as far as my willingness to cover some, if not all, of the cost of his failed insurance claim.

This is the bit you just don't get.
It isn't his failed insurance claim, it is your failed insurance claim.

Through all of this, I was happy to communicate with you, but it quickly became obvious you were attempting to bully us into replacing the cost of your items out-of-pocket with the attitude that it was an obligation, as opposed to a kindness.

It is an obligation.
The customer paid for an insured delivery.
If you failed to provide correct insurance coverage, that is your fault, not the customer's.

I just checked this out. Wow. In this thread he had at least thinly veiled his accusations that I'm scamming him. In that link he just comes right out and says it. And his logic is awesome: I'm a scammer because it was the first time that I bought from him and I am from across the ocean. He should apply to Mensa.

And you guys are all obviously retards, coz apparently I'm an "obvious scammer". So don't any of you apply to Mensa.

"2. "you never sent anything to me/it never showed up" when i have delivery confirmation". He has delivery confirmation? Would be a slam dunk and shut me right up if he had said that before and produced it, don't ya think?

Then: "even with my insurance company saying "lol no thats fraud"." No, your insurance company said: "In looking at my notes, we spoke over the phone about this on 10/25/2012. At that time, I explained that the shipment exceeded your per parcel limit for USPS First Class International packages." (Paraphrase: You under-insured, you twit). That's a quote from https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/m.1588984. Can't even keep his own damn story straight.

"and i'm nice enough to VOLUNTARILY send an obvious scammer a double-shipment, just in case he ISNT full of shit. and then i get shit for it?"

If by:

VOLUNTARILY - he means "reluctantly, after being brow beaten into it by everyone in this thread"
obvious - he means "not"
get shit for it - he means "get called out for shitty customer service, then sending nothing that was ordered, packed so terribly the contents are damaged"

Then he is spot on.

And he calls me a scammy fuck. Get a mirror, dude.

Rawted, thanks for posting this. Lets me know that he knows about the destroyed crap that I received, but he hasn't bothered to respond to my email or show his face here.

I'm sure i'll catch some backlash in OTC for it, but i've gone ahead and left a detailed negative feedback for coingenuity and informed the people in charge of ops of his shady behavior. I can no longer sit by and watch an OP openly scam members of a community i care about.

I have good experience with Amagi Metals as well. Used International shipping, and it took a while, but this was at a time when there was a shortage in coins.

I've heard Agora Commodities have cheaper shipping rates, but I've never bought anything from them: http://agoracommodities.com/
