The best way one can avoid scam ICOs is by doing thouriugh research and also follow up team to know how genuine and authentic they are if not, we may end up failing inside pit always. I also tell people to follow there minds by investigating rather than going by news from people as news fly's everywhere and people pick without cross checking. Know what you are going in by yourself so as not to miss out.
Doing a research should not be done for a day only, it should take time, so for me maybe less than a week or a week will do as you need to be involved and ask everything that is not clear to you in their whitepaper, and it is so important how they are going to fulfill it. SCAM ICO's are very clever too, so let's always check how are we going to make the kind of investigation we need.

I don't think ICO at this time is a good choice. ICOs have been dead since 2018, with too many scam projects, money outages from investors and bounty hunters. IEO in 2019 has brought a revival of new coins, you should think about it.
only a handful of ico projects have survived to date and continue to run their roadmap.
I've seen enough shitcoin, even now I don't fully follow that IEO. I will only trust coins that already have a large community
Unfortunately, investors did not have a lot of protection when it came to the abundance of scams that proliferated the crypto sphere in 2017 and 2018 but a lot of that has changed now as the market matures and more regulation is put into place to protect investors and ensure offerings are legitimate
because in the past there were no regulations issued by several countries for investment or ICO projects. but now some countries have made regulations for the IEO project and that is more protective for investors. not directly, but with the regulations that must be met by new projects that will make a sale, it certainly makes investors more confident with the investment that will be made.even if it doesn't help reduce the project scam, I think now investors can analyze projects that are missing or not. take a look at many projects that are not serious about promoting they will not get funding from investors. they are not scams but fail to get investors when they are not serious about developing projects. assessment from investors is certainly an indication of a scam from a project that is not serious in a promotion.

Of course we do not want to get a scam and this is not something we are waiting for. But we cannot provide penalties for projects that have scam us. Indeed, this is certainly very detrimental for those of us who invest in it, so I think when we get a project scam, this can be an experience and learning for us to share with others so we don't experience the same things as we have experienced.Is there anything what we can do to punish them? Seriously speaking we need regulation in blockchain if not innocent users would keep buying from fake ICOs but still good for one to do proper research before buying any ICO.
Well there is nothing we can do if already got scammed. We can prevent it by choosing wisely a good project. But i know its super hard task but ill will worth if you find a good one. I hope the interest of investor to cryptocurrency never reduce.
I think it's better to just to stay away from new projects today, especially for those projects that are too good to be true because it would definitely be a scam. It is the reason why i stop participating in new projects nowadays because i already learned from those mistakes trying to invest my money in scam projects.

I think if we have face that scammer & get loss big or small amounts. Then we should be aware & telling about that project who gives us too loss & bycot neccesarily for people.
There is no point of making an issue if investment was done in some IEO that was not even listed in trustworthy exchanges. This does not make any sense to me at all. First of all, the investor chooses an exchange that is not a renowned one, then he goes for IEO, which finding a good one is hard. Binance fully understands its popularity and would not risk it by conducting all sort of projects, without any checks.
unfortunately there is nothing we can do. You are a deceived investor or an unpaid bounty hunter, we cannot demand anything. Because it is clear that the operation of ICO is not based on national law, so any form of fraud or theft that occurs, there is no guarantee of return. or a very low exchange value after the launch of the token which makes investors lose heavily.
When this happens often, it's because ICO still receives full support from investors. what we can do now is to sort out between the good ico or the scam.
Investors have been trying for years to tell good projects apart from scam projects and we can say they have failed miserably in their mission, we must admit the reality right in front of us, there is no way to determine if a project is good or not before it starts, investing in icos is a mistake and the only way this is going to stop is if investors stop being so gullible and believe everything that a developer tells them, believe me I do not like we have come to this but it is the only solution I see to this problem.
