So far this year , a lot of scams have occurred in the crypto sphere ranging from projects scamming investors and as well as projects not paying hunters for their works.

What do you think can be done to counter this ill manner behaviours that have been painting cryptocurrency bad?
If you know how to identify scammers here in forum its better to report it immediately so that those scammers would learn from their mistakes, learn from what they are doing is wrong. I have encountered a member before whose posting a scam airdrop, they are asking to put your private keys on your ether wallet which I know that is not really required so in that way I already know that there is already a bad thing happening here in the forum.

If you want to fight then the thing you have to do is don't be carelessly investing (if you are an investor) and don't be carelessly promoting a project (if you are a bounty hunter) with that you will not be trapped in a fraudulent project. With that also investors will never know the project if you do not promote.

This ICO that are scams are out of hand and this is badly hurting cryptocurrency in general. People tend to lose trust and for that, it will result for them not to invest in such projects. It makes opportunity for investors to not have. I believe the best solution for this is for us to consider taking IEOs particularly in bigger markets.

they are able to walk because they are supported by investors. in my opinion right now it is best to be more vigilant before investing because more and more project teams are running away after the funds are collected. if you do not get funds from investors, the project will never run, that is the simple logic. because we all also know that the world of crypto has no legal basis.

can't fight scams it's just that we have to avoid scam projects. so far many scams through ICO there have been many people fooled by ICO. I think we should leave ICO. Then don't invest with low-volume coins that are very dangerous there are lots of low volume coins left by the developer

for now the fraudulent project is still in the development of crypto, they take advantage of this because there is not yet a strong regulation regarding the development of crypto especially for its purity. and for now the best way is to avoid fraudulent projects by doing research and avoiding some suspicious projects so that your funds remain safe

Even before the ICO days there were already scan though. Now its IEO days there are still scam. The one thing that always happen is that there are still victims and I was one of it too. the least you expect that would actually happen are happening, the team did a bounty campaign but postponed it. They are telling us there is no scam because the ICO was postponed.

There's nothing better than learning from experience and not giving up easily. There are many fraud projects, which makes the legit projects covered so that it seems that the employment of cryptocurrency is not promising. Yet if we want to try harder, analyze deeper, expand the network, then we will be able to find a project that is quite good and promising. We just need to try harder, spread positive information, give warnings to friends if there are projects that should be avoided, so we can give each other useful information.

Way forward is to continue the struggle, amongst 50 bounty you do in a month, 3 pays well, covers you for the next month or go for job hunting and exit bounty. But sincerely continue doing what you know how to do best in bounty, there are still good bounties to campaign for.
That is the importance of a strong mentality. Even though cryptocurrency is full of unimaginable things, we must remain realistic and not expect too high in this less conducive market.

It is not easy to know which of the ICO is a scam, because the one you think that it is not going to be successful will be successful, that is why crypto this days is by luck, even the bounty hunter has been working and promoting some ICO in vain, just last year people made it out of some campaign because they just work with the hope that it will be good and some are really good, and some are scam

I think we can't avoid ourselves from scam in the world of Crypto, because scammers are hard to guess, they are able to make us obsessed to joining them. We must be very careful when choosing an ICO / IEO project so that we can avoid scammers.

There isn't really much that we can do.

The media is painting these issues in a darker light than they should be, in my opinion. Most of these scams can be easily avoided through simply using your common sense and doing your due diligence. Most people who actually get scammed most likely didn't even research their ICOs, the teams behind the ICOs, and the actual purpose of the token.

It's the attitude towards crypto in general that needs to change. If one day there is a lack of demand for scam and crap tokens, they will slowly cease to exist.

If we will do a research on that project, how can we manage to know them? there is some project who has a great original white paper and real people on their team.
They manage to have a successful ICO but in the end they still scammed their investors and bounty participants.
What we can do now is not to trust the ICO anymore and let it die so scammers will not gain even a single cent.
We should now be focusing on an IEO in a great exchange if we want a good movement ahead! If a project is legit and a promising one then they will look on a platform that people will trust and put their money online! that is IEO!

yes, there were many incidents of project fraud in 2018 & 2019 and there were also some who did not pay their participants for several reasons, we are all being tested in this industry, but I don't think there is a right way to eliminate scamers in this crypto room, advice I am alert and always reconsider before making a decision.
This industry is indeed growing. but the factors of fraud continue to exist and are endless. as if they follow any trends in crypto and are able to camouflage when there are things or new investment models. the investors themselves are made confused so that they are careful in investing and are not fooled

This year since ICO or IEO were not that many than last year we can pick project that have potential knowing we're it is listed in exchange.

The problem is the Exchange that launching IEO is scam itself like P2PB2B and Coinbits. Many more exchage claiming to have huge fake volumes is launching their fake IEO to scam people. So knowing the exchange where the token to be listed is not guarantee that the project will not gonna runaway.
Absolutely true, i think most of the fake and fraud IEO's are launched from poor exchanges such as P2PB2B,Exmarkets and Latoken etc. Even those type of exchanges volume is highly manipulated in coinmarketcap and sometimes hits top ranking exchange though volume is fake. Yeah, which projects will never promising and worthy when it will list on those exchanges.

It is very usual nowadays considering the fact that the number of projects being introduced in the platform is increasing more and more each day. We cannot really take some legal action towards it since it is happening on a global scale meaning the scammers can be found all around the world. Let us just hope a system would be presented that would be anti scammers and may help us in choosing a better project so that we can avoid any possible frauds along the way.

Making crypto projects should be harder and more expensive, so there are no more many scam project because the scammers have to pay a lot of money or effort to make one.
Also the investors should be more care about their investation even they have a lot of money, they should not feed the scammers
How they can make it expensive ? right now its easy to make a token and hired developer to make them one.
They can also hired persons who can make them  whitepaper and that was real  happening right now you can see in this forum offer that kind of services.

Bounty hunters must stop being lazy to do a research about the projects, I see many bounty hunters that join an obviously scam project this might be the best way to stop those scam projects if we dont promote it they wont get any victims.
The problem is that not all bounty hunters are good at doing research on the projects they will promote, so in this case what needs to be improved is the science of researching a project, so that in the future there will be no more victims of fraud from the crypto project.

Educate "those" investors even more because they're just seemingly not knowledgeable enough how to make a simple research about legitimate projects . There's no literal counter to it that would fully eliminate these scams, because even outside crypto it still happens regardless. You can't just say that it should be regulated so that these scams would get away. This could apply the same for bounty hunters, but the root cause of these would be particularly for investors since bounty hunters don't really risk as much money as the investors.

Bounty hunters should learn to research into projects they want to promote or organize and get skilled volunteers to do the researching for them. The volunteers have to be rewarded once in a while.

Hope you don't expect the forum owners and moderators to do the research for you for free. It going to be time consuming.

Not every project is a scam. Some see everything as scam because they expect quick reward. This whole thing should not be seen as regular source of income

I agree, not everything is a scam, but because this is crypto and this is online, and because you are responsible for your own money in crypto, you are also responsible for making sure that everything is as it is said it is.

This means you must adopt a "everything is a scam until proven otherwise" attitude.

Crypto asked you not to trust anyone but yourself and maths. So remember this well!

There are really a lot of scam projects nowadays, that is why a lot of investors and bounty hunters doesn't have any interest in participating in these projects anymore. Increasing of illegal activities in cryptocurrency like scams is ruining the image of it that makes everyone hate crypto, so i think for us to counter and to reduce scammers in cryptocurrency is they should pay for a very big price before they enter in the market and for them to be allowed to promote their project.
