fake litecoin,

These are hacked accounts that are sold on dark markets, but some are sold on regular Russian sites.

There is a large hacking campaign going on.

https://decrypt.co/15931/youtubers-are-being-hijacked-for-crypto-scams

You would think that YouTube would put out a statement that they are at least aware of the problem. YouTube could end this in a day if they wanted to but choose not to.

Totally agree.. had i received an email or something I would not have donated 2.81 btc to this disgusting scam.
The video popped up on my youtube videos.. this video was recommended to me by youtube. In a sense they promoted the scam.

Worst of all I did it on Christmas eve morning thinking it was a Promo Coinbase was doing to promote the market.

Sorry to hear your loss. According to crypto lark, hackers have been using malicious software to gain access to youtubers channels in order to livestream these scams.
This is why channels with over a million subscribers have been affected, as well as why the videos end up promoted by youtube I imagine.
Hope that adds some insight into how these scams are occurring and spreading like a virus.
If you're a youtuber, be careful out there! Don't fall for their tricks of downloading software to review...

Thank you for reporting again.
I think that best we can do is to write email to Yotube support regarding this issue.
It's obvious that algo machine  is not doing it's job

It is crazy to see more and more new channels created for scamming people.
It is obvious that there is one source that keeps reproducing this, and it is time for Youtube algorithm to change and do something useful for a change   Undecided

Yeah, maybe we can categorically call those people behind as criminal syndicate because of the way they pop up as soon as the other channels are being shutdown by Youtube itself and then the criminals continue their bad ways scamming, specially newbie crypto enthusiast who might get a bad taste when entering the crypto space.

and as soon as one account gets terminated 4 more will appear. this will never stop as long as google allows hacked accounts to run this shit

we need to get a dozen of us online to report this stuff instantly in the hope of having the accounts terminated b4 the scammer make too much money

Best is to let people aware about such scam kind of giveaway scams. More they are aware less they will generate traffic and chances to fall for such. At the moment best is to keep reporting such streams (other than that I don't see any option).

Also takes time for Youtube staff to check and take necessary actions, so by the time they ban it is possible that there would be many innocents who got scammed.

Thank you.
This video and all other reported in this topic where reported and scammer channels have been terminated.

Be alert... they are opening new channels non-stop!

Thanks for creating this thread. Scammers will try and try again because there are a lot of gullible YT users.

Maybe the number of scam reports received by YouTube is increasing, the reason why they decided to delete crypto-related videos.
However, YT staffs should entirely watch the video before deleting them.
Because there are informational videos regarding bitcoin and other alts like talking about history, how to transact btc, etc.
And I believe they should not be deleted, as those videos will help newbies understand how crypto came into fruition and what it will do to their lives.

Perhaps they are doing a blanket ban on everything related to crypto videos. Of course, not all of them are scammers, but I guess at this time, they can't distinguished legit ones from scammers in the ecosystem that's why a full ban was implement. But I'm sure youtube will rectify this situation in the coming days. Just sad to see the the legit ones are very affected negatively.

Edit: Here's another one that needed to be reported:

{Warning}: Another Fake CZ Binance AMA Bitcoin Giveaway

Thanks for reporting one more... I lost track in counting them all...

As for Youtube, I don't think they are so stupid to distinguish between legit channels and obvious scams.
There are some rumors of big attack on crypto in 2020, and maybe this is just introduction to this.
Lets hope I am wrong about this, but we should all be ready and prepared.

This is the irony, they have been taking down hundreds of videos as they "might be illegitimate sale of good", whereas there are blatant scams that they completely ignore. Something weird is going on, that's for sure. I wouldn't be surprised to see some "price manipulation" to go with this yt move, given that many youtubers now can't speak out about what's going on under the surface... Just a thought. As you said, be prepared for anything to come in the near future...

Some whales want their $5K Bitcoin that they missed, and as they say, this might be about bringing the train back to the station instead of jumping on it at $6.5K.

this shit will never go away. youtube does not care that much. its amazing how much people have been scammed.  there is no end to the number of victims given how popular YouTube and crpyto are. by the time YouTube does anything the scammers will just make more videos, having already profited immensely.

It could be that this scam giveaways are the reason for this latest Youtube cleanup of many crypto Youtubers.
I saw so many of this scam youtube videos showing up every day, and I think people reported them for sure,  but why erasing normal videos as well?!?
