Scammers are becoming more smarter everyday, they are now capable of spending more money on good looking website to confuse some newbies, I lost 600$ to a new metaverse project this way last week, before I know what's going on the team block comments on telegram and now their website is offline, the thing is I can't sell the token on pancakeswap after buying, be extremely careful fams.

Right from my time I don't accept any telegram channels that is all about new project because so many tend to be fake , am trying to avoid what may make me to give a try on what they are talking about. Before I must join a telegram channel I must make sure that the project is real and much research have been done about it. After joining some of this scam project telegram group some members of it comes into your pm to do advertisements about the project, that's to tell how desperate this scammers are.

There are too many projects today using the name of Doge and Meta, wait ✋have you checked out the new projects on coinmarketcap today? They are full of meme coins, metaverse coins and Play2earn games.

Before you end up becoming a victim you should start taking research so serious, scammers aren't playing around, they aren't here to waste their time, get serious with your money.

Not just on Coinmarketcap, these scammers are also scattered on different social media platforms... Facebook, Twitter, specially Telegram, there are lots of scam. Research(studying) is indeed one of our strongest weapon against this frauds. In my case, I learned from experience, I was once scammed in telegram of a user that owns a bot, called dodge mining factory, at first it allows you to cash out your earnings, but since they had more and more investors, they disappeared. Telegram account deleted. I did not lose much, and the money was just free from different groups and bots I joined when I was very new in crypto.

Indeed we need to be wise as well otherwise, they will take advantage of that. Perhaps, we have to deal with them and so taking serious doing research is much helpful to make them minimize and spread awareness to the community.
But OP is right, we can't rid of them totally especially if we keep supporting them. They come growing instead as many people were still blind not see fake and scam projects.

Its getting even more difficult to differentiate a real project from a scam project, there are few scam projects this year that was well spent on in terms of the website details and also information about upcoming roadmaps, I think I might just end up giving up on new projects totally.

When we talk about crypto projects then it is no secret that at least 90% of all such projects are created with malicious intent, and mostly it is done by the same people who have been doing it for years. If we look at our forum and the number of bounty campaigns, and how many of them end up without participants being paid for their work - then all these scammers have virtually free advertising, with minimal investment in each project, because they use the same schemes with minor changes.

The average beginner who has no or very limited knowledge of the crypto world is easily convinced that a project is good just because it has its own website, white paper, and social media accounts - and mostly doesn't care who is behind the project. Figuratively speaking, finding a good project is like going through a minefield blindfolded, and I think you're right if you say you don't want to do it.

Seriously scammers are really looking for new techniques just to scam people of their money which is very bad, I believe we all have to be very careful in coins which we invest in because scammers are just after the money which they will make, they will push you to invest in a coin then after investing your money is gone, some coins are very real which you won't believe they are created just to scam but at the end they run away with our money so we just have to be very careful not to fall victim.
I personally see that their techniques are actually not much different and they are all almost the same but there is indeed a slight update as in the trend or which is currently hype in the objects they offer. The techniques and strategies they use are still pretty much the same as luring something with investment and profit illogically or distributing dusting to our wallets like Minerium, TheEver or TheVera.

Their way is always the same but the execution is slightly different but there are still many people who are still deceived by this.

i think who are still deceived because the are new in crypto and we know that after this covid many of them WFH and them didn't know abaut crypto and them started learning crypto and this is target of scammers is cyrpto beginners

If you say this, you could say that I also belong to the new group of people because indeed I started to be in crypto even when the world was caught by the virus.
But what makes the difference is that many people still don't want to learn but want to have an instant profit.
systematically this is something that is very impossible to happen that's why a lot of beginners are still trapped by the seduction of these scammers.

Goodnight, o_e_l_e_o 🌹
Research is one key part in any investment option. Scammers are bunch of researchers too who make their victim pay for the information the neglected or the research the failed to make.

It's simple if an investor fail to do their research the have no other option than to pay for their ignorance. Scammers aren't playing at all so investors needs to get serious with their fund as op stated to avoid paying for ignorance
I like that statement.  "Scammers are bunch of researchers".
Because of the crime they are into we tend to underrate them. But these guys are too smart and dynamics. They know the latest trend, first they know the best way to do them rightly and then they chose the dubious way. Since they know the two edge of the sword, they will bait you with the right process and when you fall for it, they will transfer you to the dubious way and scam you.
It's best to be skeptical about everything and then be smart.

Nowadays is very difficult to differentiate a legit project from a scam project due to the number of new altcoins that come into existence in the cryptosphere.
Investors are always advised to carry out their research before investing in a project but still, many investors are falling for a scam project. Crypto is no longer safe for anyone, both the wise investors fall into a crypto scam project. This is a big problem facing us all, pray to get lucky not to invest in a scam project. Scammers are strategizing their moves on projects to look promising and legit

True.

And the reason why everyone is reminding everyone to DYOR. It's going to be what you need to figure out if a project is a scam and just hiding into a hype trend like metaverse or nft.

They'll never stop until they're busted and I think even if they're busted and not yet behind the bars, they'll continue what they've been doing no matter what the trend is.

The ways Scammers are bringing new strategies that seems to be real everyday is increasing. One thing about scamming as far as the internet is concerned people will always want to use it to make money by all means . To avoid being scam is to be extra careful with things that we can't really tell how reliable it is. Am happy for OP he was not gotten by the scammers.
True, the thing is every projects needs to upgrade their servers from time to time, we see crypto exchanges do this to avoid hackers penetrating through their secured platform, also this is why we need to update our phones to latest patches even windows OS do release updates to stay secured for the better, scammers means business.

Before you end up becoming a victim you should start taking research so serious, scammers aren't playing around, they aren't here to waste their time, get serious with your money.
"DYOR" has always been an indispensable factor for investors who understand the network pretty well, mind you also that investors who invest in altcoins/new projects have more research to do cause there are a lot of shitcoins and pump and coins amongst the many projects, with little or no good ones to pick from.
the reason why these scammers are successful with their plans is newbies lack of patience, this is what give birth to not having time to do research at first before making a decision.
Many investors want to "get rich quick" and as such they can't differentiate between what is too good to be true, and what is actually true, so they keep on making bad decisions regarding their investments.

I think it's not because of investors not being severe, but it's about the lack of education for security purposes.

Imagine someone investing in crypto because of a referral, and he has money to lose, and then he is just off to buy one of the things he sees, with great marketing. Then he tries to the hype and sees that he could "earn," and then next thing you know, the curiosity and the lack of orientation on how people get scammed in the crypto space happens to him. He is then discouraged because he didn't know he was falling into a trap.

The best way is to spread security options and attacks and be aware of the possible approaches of scammers/hackers.
