Bitcoin signature campaigns normally follow stricter rules as they're based fully on this forum. A lot of altcoin things are based on other forums.

Typically speaking, it's the same rules for both but mods are different so might take different approaches. Can you bring up examples though?
Usually bounty managers that allowing their users to spam in the forum were not bitcoin bounty or the fix rated bounties that pays BTC. Most of it are those altcoins or tokens being awarded to the spammer for a project that has been running in the forum. Most of good bounty managers will not allow spamming and even remind bounty hunters to always do the right thing but other bounty managers that are not considering the spamming of bounty hunters just did not mind to any possible outcomes to the forum for their accepted users spamming. Thus bounty manager should be reminded or the forum should give a new set of rules set for this kind of bounty managers.

What exactly is your concern? I’ve seen you post in a number of stake related threads, and I’m not quite sure what your beef is.

Stake opened a thread for reporting them and is dealing quickly with it.
So where is the issue?
Quickly? Stake has been encouraging spam for four months... These issues were raised back in February... The response from from the campaign? Nothing... even though Steve and the Stake team were made aware of the community's concerns at that time.

So, we're supposed to be thankful that they are finally attempting to do something about it? Roll Eyes

Not to go too off topic here but how many reports have you done?

What he made a thread about is no different then the report to moderator button. I'm not taking Steves side i'm just saying, everyone who reports a post or thread to the moderator is doing the exact same thing for free.
Reporting a post is different from reporting a campaign spammer. A post can be on-topic, not spam but yet not upto the standard of the campaign. That, in summary, is, people just posting to get paid from the signature and not actually contributing to the forum. So reporting a campaign spammer will involve going through their previous posts and see if they are doing quality contribution on the thread or just repeating the same crap said in other 10 pages of it.

Please note: You as a campaign will not be warned or have your signatures removed for having a handful of low quality posters on your campaign especially if they're quickly dealt with. We accept that no campaign will be able to stop spam 100% of the time but these guidelines are there for the campaigns where it becomes blatantly obvious they are doing little to nothing at all to try prevent spam and are happily paying people to post rubbish continually even after a warning. Please monitor your users closely and there should be no issues.

So where is the issue?
The issue is, why does Steve want the community to clean up the mess that he created in the first place? No one has enough time on their hands to do his job for free. He is getting paid for the job and it's his own responsibility to do the cleaning by kicking spammers out or reporting their posts. I wouldn't waste 10 seconds of my life reporting spammers of his campaign without getting a penny for it. Geddit?

Actually they are not inside rules. Take a look at this thread https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/signature-campaign-guidelines-read-this-before-starting-or-joining-a-campaign-1684035

You should only start a campaign if you have someone willing to keep a very close eye on your participants posts. If you do not then a signature campaign is not for you.

• Do not just automatically accept any user that signs up to your campaign. Check their posts first. If they're all short sentences or unsubstantial or in very poor English then they're likely not going to change their habits. If every campaign only accepts and pays for users who have made fairly constructive posts then this will instantly clean up the forum as any poor posters will have to improve if they want to earn anything from a campaign.

Here are the 1st 2 "suggested Guidlines" for campaign operators. These are not my rules, or Hhampuz'z rules, or LoyceV's rules. This thread was created by hilariousandco.

Yobit was the 1st site/campaign to see repercussions from not keeping an eye on participants. They were blacklisted by theymos, not the managers. Stake is going to be the 2nd company to see this happen most likely.

No one is trying to force their way into managing the campaign period. Yes they/I am offering to help but ultimately they are breaking the rules set by the forum. It's either Do your job or cya later at this point.

For everyone's reference the OP is referring to this thread https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/report-a-signature-campaign-spammer-5152812

It's just a guideline, not a rule. Nobody needs to comply with it
No they do not have to comply with it, but if they do not then they will abide by any penalty imposed on them, won't they.

It's a guideline not a rule.
How can somebody be punished for not breaking a rule but ignoring a guideline ?

What i quoted to you were some suggested guidelines for companies. If you actually went in and bothered to read the thread, you'd see that these are basically Official rules to be followed by Campaign participants and Campaign operators.

Failure to comply with the Suggestions/Rules from the thread can/will result in multiple disciplinary options including being banned from the forum and unable to advertise.

Everything i'm saying in replying to you OP is DIRECT quotes from Global Moderator hilariousandco. Read below for another DIRECT quote.

Well guidelines are rules per se, although often used in a less stringent context.

Campaign managers are advised to ensure to quality of posts made on their project, and we can go back and forth about whether BTC paying signatures gets more attention, but as long as it's an attempt to curb spam, then it can't really be a problem.
BTC signature campaigns usually have fewer members than regular ICOs and hence it's more possible to manage and regulates the quality of posts made.

It's clear you not so good with English it's hard understanding what you where trying to portray.
But if I got you correctly I would say campaign managers when advertising their campaigns put up a rule and guidelines and non of them would force you to join or apply if you are not OK with their rules so it not so hard if you find the rules bad then just look away from the campaign

Since when is bitcointalk taken over by scammers?
I have never seen before that projects are forced to accept their inside rules or else they get attacked as spammer and scammer.

Somebody able to point me out to the new forum rules which I might be unaware of which demands this kind of action from a campaign manager.

How does it come they are only enforcing it on campaigns which offer BTC and not on campaigns which offer altcoins as payment?
