Scammers are at it again sending out bulk mails disguised to be from pancakeswap congratulating you on winning some free ethereum or other coin. The link below is attached to it disguise to be wallet connect link which will require your confirmation on your wallet to claim the free coin. https://walletsconts.com/claim_token.htm.

If you receive such mail, make sure you don't follow the link on your wallet or give any permission in order to stay safe from their scam.

Thanks for the warning, because I can be inattentive or too naive sometimes, but of course when I receive a letter saying I won flat or phone I just ignore it, but in the case of crypto, I participate in a lot of airdrops, so it's not it would be strange for me to receive a letter that I won some coins. We have to be very careful when confirming something in our wallet on strange websites.

Everyone should use a hardware wallet, ledger, trezor, etc. for coins and tokens. I can't understand how someone could store them on an exchange or phone wallet and expect to be safe. Anyone can be scammed if the conditions are right, that's why your attitude must always be NO.
Hardware wallets are only superior in terms of asset storage and are also safer, while for other things I think they still have shortcomings, because for those who store assets in any exchange it is also only temporary for the sake of convenience in trading, while storing assets his investment in the long term, it's obvious the choice is a hardware wallet and nothing else.
Still this means one thing , that storing your funds in exchange is the stupidest thing a investors holders will even had , there are so many cases that funds lost in exchange and also hacking is very a vulnerable thing happening in exchanges .
store funds inside exchange for some time while in trading and take out everytime you are done .
this will keep you from not being a victim of this mistake action.

Another scam and hack has happened not only about the rugpull of Squid coin but also in the discord server of Axie Infinity.

The bot was hacked and it has led to misinforming a lot of members to visit a fake website that has taken a lot of Ethereum to the victims. Everyone has to be careful with official websites and don't be too greedy because it may be the cause of being hacked and scammed.

Most of the time, those people who are too quick to judge and follow this information without extending some time to investigate,

are the one who suffered from scammers and hackers who know the best practice to allure holders and investors.

They've been hacked because of putting their guards down. If they gather information first before doing any task, this kind of hack would be avoided.

Be very vigilant and if possible not to follow anything without dealing with good research about the information that being shared, especially if it's been forwarded inside social media channels and not from the actual main website or legit site from the developing team.

of course they won't get tired if they succeeded in scamming some newbies to crypto, keep sharing and alerting people about scams, you probably saved some of them by sharing a simple post, don't trust any random email or person on the internet, people should know by now that emails are a thing that is used so many times bybscammers.

Scamming is the easiest way to collect money from no-how people, from greedy people. As this strategy still working, we can't stop scamming and scammers will continue their doings until they got caught by the authorities. That is why we should have to protect our wallets and don't let these people will control our keys.
Well, its an easy way for scammers to earn by taking advantage other people's weakness and lack of knowledge.

If only we're careful to not click any link or be easily convince of a too good to be true offer, then becoming a victim can be prevented. Thats why if you're aware how scammers make their move, you wont become a victim.

But until there are people who buy their offer and foolish to think its legit then this strategy of scammers wont stop.

but unfortunately, not many people are aware of this scamming technique, some are taking the bait because of their too-good-to-be-true offers. but anyway, if you check the link provided by the OP, it is already suspended. maybe a  lot of people reported this as phishing website or scam site.
so yeah, if you encounter a phishing website we can always report it to google right away using this link . and hope that no one will make a mistake of sending their funds or using the site so these scammers can steal your keys.

They make this scamming as their profession and continue this daily as we do our normal job in real life for our livelihood. So they never get tired. I got such mail and i always ignore it cause pancakeswap doesn’t know ny mail. Lol. But not Only mail but also they sent fake token on your wallet! Thats valueless on bsc blockchain but it show value on pancakeswap! They ask bnb to as fee, for add those dollars on Your balance! And some people do that, lol. Should be careful
Apparently, this has been their source of living. As these people grow and know how to scam, they'll keep scamming. It is a big shame for them but I don't know if they still feel that thing or are paranoid about it.

Unknown emails must be ignored and deleted. Do not use your seed phrase or private keys to any website that you're not using and not official. These scammers will try to trick your emotion, two types of emotion, happiness, and sadness. Happy in a manner that you'll receive an email from them like what OP has said. And sadness, through playing with it telling that you've been literally hacked by someone and does the same trick of putting another link to stop the hacking. That's why we should always be calm and verify the domain of the email that has sent the message.

I agree with your opinion, scammers have been around for a few years. Four years ago, I also got scammers.  They use the lure mode of the gift. And they act politely to give a good long-term program. So we have to be more careful about short messages that come in via email or other social media.

If there's one thing I've learned about scammers, it is that they will put in 100 hours of work to try and steal $20 from a victim before they would get a job that pays $20 per hour.  These people are the lowest of the low and have no problem putting in 100x the amount of work in order to steal from others just to avoid having to do anything worthwhile themselves.  The sad part is most of these scammers do have knowledge that would be useful to many on the internet, but instead of using their knowledge for good and helping educate others, they try to take advantage.  One of those paths has a future with a legitimate job, the other will waste your time your entire life and keep you from finding true success.

Is it true if you click on someone's link, it could have malware and your wallet could cleaned out?  Someone posted they have coins in their ledger and metamask... i dont know anything about metamask and that person said it drained their metamask account.  But nothing with ledger since well they can't do that.

Does this mean if you have an iphone and click on those links and have wallets on your iphone, this would happen?  I know android phones are not good security wise but same applies to iphone?
The hard part is to inject malware or trojan to a personal computer, rest depends on how professional is a hacker. He can do bad things included cleaning all your data and stealing coins.
This is why never click the link from a suspicious site or download any files they can really get all your datas and you’ll be a victim of those hackers. There’s a lot of scammers locally and abroad, they are adopting every trend of this market so be extra careful on protecting your assets, always deal on a more legit way than to trust anyone.

Just don't forget number 1 rule: Don't click the links sent by random telegram users and shared on Twitter/Reddit platforms. Otherwise, victims will come to cry on various forum threads for recovering coins.
Learn how to use the social media platforms on the personal PC or you will get robbed once more.

Most of the stories of victims of scammers that I have read and heard are because of the wrong sites that they have opened or simply the phishing sites. Those phishing sites are too good to deceive people because those sites are more look likely as the original site this is very alarming because most of the time newbies are always the victims. No one knows how to get rid of those scammers because it seems that these people are keep on growing in numbers to victimize people. So better be safe than sorry, always check the site if it is secured and never easily fall on a click bait popped on email or telegram.
Phishing is something that does get a lot of people, but scammers who actually talk to you and scam you is bigger, because that is a problem that we could fix but it is also dynamic as well. Phishing could be basically fixed by checking the website carefully and you will realize that you are in the wrong website by checking, that's simple, or if there is a project starting up and saying that they are going to be 100x very soon then you will know that they are a horrible one or scamming you because nobody could guarantee something like that.

However, reality is that there are people who talk with us and we do not understand if they are real or not and that is the situation that we get scammed and the hardest to understand. Think about it if someone is talking with you then they can convince you and there is nothing that you can do to make sure that they are serious or not. Fixing that is the hardest thing and I am not sure if that can be ever done.
